UPDATE: After damaging my furniture Optimal Movers lost in court, and haven't paid the judgment forcing me to go back to court and file a lien against the business and collections. In addition, Jon forged my initials on the moving contract he never sent me and tried to present that as evidence in court which is a crime. I had to waste more time filing a police report. If picked up the crime of forgery is 1 year prison sentence. I find this moving company unethical and would not be surprised if they lose their license. I recently hired Optimal Movers to help me and my girlfriend move from DTLA to Miracle Mile. I got a very reasonable quote from the manager, John, and kept in contact by email until the day of the move. Our movers, Ilya and David, showed up when they said they would and were a pleasure to move with. They were efficient, friendly, adaptable, and had everything on hand to safely move all our stuff. When the move was done, I got a prompt call from the manager and was able to pay by card over the phone. Upon unpacking, we found no significant damage to any of our stuff. But On my last move, something went missing. My Diaries. It has been made very clear to me that one of his workers stole them. John SAVED THE DAY today!! I had movers cancel on me last minute today. I scrambled for an hour, making calls to every moving company I could find online (I even hired Task Rabbit and got canceled on TWICE today!). I needed four 6-foot desks moved out of my office today, and building management gave me a small window of time to make it happen. Optimal helped us move within LA. We had 3 movers for a fairly full 1 bedroom apartment which took 7.5 hours. They were quick and efficient but unfortunately we still had an item broken immediately after I asked them to be careful moving and packaging the items on a shelf. There were lamps sitting on a bookshelf that fell and broke as they began to push it. The shattered item left a mess of glass fragments and liquid around the apartment and didn't offer help cleaning it up. They also started to drag the bookshelf through the mess and I had to ask them to stop and wait so my partner and I could clean it up. They offered to pay for only half the broken item most move. Overall they were still some of the better movers I've had in Los Angeles but I'd recommend emphasizing to the main member of their crew what all fragile items need extra attention to their care. These guys are seriously AMAZING! We had a big move coming up from LA to OC and were very stressed about the move. Move-out/in day was cold and rainy, and John and his crew couldn't have made things easier for us! They were extremely polite, health conscious as they had their masks on the entire time, very clean as they wiped their shoes as much as possible each time they came inside, and are very very fast! We moved from a 2 story townhome into a second story 2br 2bath condo and these guys were so fast, yet careful with all furniture and boxes. Not 1 scratch, not 1 thing missing, no damages whatsoever. The walls and floor were Undamaged as they were very careful placing things down and around. We honestly weren't expecting much from them because of nightmarish past experiences with other movers, but these guys are unreal. Their pricing is extremely fair compared to all other movers we contacted (about 10). Again, if you're moving and wish for the easiest, fastest, and most stress free, I 110% recommend Optimal Movers! Responsive, efficient and thorough with booking the date, along with a very reasonable price. My boyfriend and I moved in together, so they had to pick up his stuff in Burbank, then mine in Culver City, then move us in to one of those huge complexes on the West side where they had to do a ton of walking. Optimal movers to the rescue! I scheduled a move with them super last minute. From LA to OC. They had upfront pricing, and the guys showed up on time. 3 total. Super nice and hard workers. They didn't break anything, they put my furniture back together too. Moving is hard and scary enough, so you don't want to have creepy people touching your personal things and I was completely comfortable and the guys were professional. I really Reccomend them, I called a few places before deciding on optimal movers. Some said "what's your budget" like wow really? That sounds shady LoL! Some had no availability. John and the boys made my move seamless from initial phone call to moving day. After calling 10 different moving companies and with only 1 week advance notice, Optimal was the only company that accepted the job. They provide wardrobe boxes that fit clothes, shoes, pillows, blankets, etc. One part of my sectional wouldn't fit through the front door and the guys were able to use straps and pull the piece in from the balcony. These are the type of guys you want for your move, not someone who gives up and leaves you hanging. I've moved three times in Los Angeles during the last four years. The first move, I simply rented a uHaul and had a friend help me out because I didn't have that much stuff back then. On my 2nd move, I had significantly more furniture so I hired a moving company (which I will not name but they had 4.5 stars on Yelp and the hourly rate was reasonable). This other moving company arrived with three guys but took a long time wrapping up all my furniture and loading them onto the truck so my bill actually ended up being twice of what i expected to pay. On my 3rd move, i decided to give Optimal Movers a try and I am thankful i did. John arrived with another colleague and both of them were super efficient in loading my furniture onto the truck. They only wrapped the furniture that needed to be protected (rather than wrapping every single thing) so the process went by quickly. My move with 2 guys from Optimal Movers actually went by quicker than the 3 guys from my prior move. My total bill was reasonable for the service that was provided. I would definitely hire Optimal Movers again next time and would recommend them to anyone. read more

We had a tricky last minute move, with all our contents going to different locations. I had packed everything and had gradually been moving boxes myself over the course of many weeks, so we mainly hired Optimal Movers to load heavy and bulky items that we weren't able to move ourselves. Also, a piano was involved. Optimal Movers were great in every way. The guys were helpful, quick, courteous. They handled the boxes swiftly and carefully. They were not able to get the truck up the new driveway to unload certain items, but they were able to unload the contents up a 150ft driveway, including the piano (which rolled) with no bad attitude (we felt bad but what can you do?). Just moved from the OC back to LA this past weekend. Moving is naturally stressful, but John and Jose made it as seamless as possible! They arrived 10 minutes early and started moving immediately. They provide wraps for for your furniture and do a really good job of keeping everything clean and intact. They also moved quickly to disassemble and assemble my bedframe. I have nothing but good things to say about the moving process. What was really nice too was how responsive and informative John was prior to moving date and there were no surprise charges, such as gas charge and such. I can not express how happy we are with the level of service we received with optimal movers today. The team showed up on time and got straight to work. They worked great as a team and were quick yet meticulous with their work. You are working with true professionals here. Clutter delivered all my stuff back to my new apartment but couldn't get the couch to fit through one of the hallways of my apartment. They gave up, brought my couch down and left it in the garage.
