I asked a few questions and one of the guys was really straightforward and clear about the answers. He was really good about giving me the information I needed....that is one thing about Ace. They do have knowledgeable and friendly people that can assist with any questions. Ace Hardware Corporation is an American hardware retailers' cooperative based in Oak Brook, Illinois, United States. It is the world's largest hardware retail cooperative, and the largest non-grocery American retail cooperative. Founded in 1924 as "Ace Stores", the company changed its name to "Ace Hardware Corporation" in 1931. It grew dramatically following World War II, more than tripling its sales between the late 1940s and 1959. After the retirement of longtime president and founder Richard Hesse in 1973, Ace was sold to its retailers, becoming a retailer-owned cooperative. It first reached $1 billion in wholesale sales in 1985 and $5 billion in 2015. As of 2019, it has over 5,200 locations in 60 countries. Ace operates 17 distribution centers in the United States, and additional distribution facilities in China, Panama, and the United Arab Emirates. This particular store on Seabreeze is located in the large strip mall that houses the LA Fitness, TJ Maxx and the Total Wines and more...so it's easy to find and to park.

The shelves did seem organized and one young female employee gave me a warm greeting in an aisle. The Ring display offers alot of video and audio security and did a retail vs online price comparison. The Ring Battery Outdoor Plus camera was $199.99 and surprisingly the same price on Amazon but with tons of similar security camera options at lower pricing with free Prime shipping. Attempted to gain some information about the Ring device from an employee but he informed me that he does not expertise in technical products but could find someone who could assist - I thought that was odd but maybe the expertise of staff is isolated only to specific sectors.

They set up numerous tables, and the classes fill up quickly. You sign up online and can stop by anytime between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM. It is completely free for the kids. They provide regular sized tables as well as a few toddler sized tables. The staff supplies hammers and screwdrivers, and the kits include all of the materials needed to complete the project. They also provide paint supplies so the kids can decorate their finished projects. As an extra treat, each child receives a cookie and water. It is a great experience, and they host it every month with a different project. First time visitors receive an apron with the child's name on it, and a collectible pin is included with each project. It is fun to see the kids working on their creations and showing off the pins they have collected over time. Highly recommend!
