Harbor Freight Tools simplifies shopping for just tool related items instead of those horrible crowds in the mega Lowes stores. This store has huge contractor items like compressors, pressure washers, lawn mowers and even vehicle jacks at retail prices. Today, I noticed blue half off price tags listed as ITC under select items. I asked an employee what was ITC. He explained that its a Harbor Freight membership club called "Inside Track Club" and for $29.99 customers can join to receive deep discounts. Basically, if you buy a $60.00 item and get half off it would pay you back the cost of the membership. read more

I am not one who enjoys shopping for tools and uninteresting (my opinion) things for the house. But this store actually sort of makes it okay. Kerry-Ann helped me find some unique tools I needed for a mirror redo. She was super nice and was a pro at showing me where everything was that I needed for my project. She is awesome and a huge asset to this store. They often have 20% off coupons in the newspaper. The store is kind of outdated looking but they have just about every kind of tool or machine you might need for a project. I like coming here instead of Home Depot because I can actually find someone to help me within a reasonable amount of time. read more

Harbor Freight is a fun hardware store that has unique items you won't find at Home Depot or Lowe's. I find their prices to be great. They especially are good before a hurricane for supplied like rain boots, rain coats and empty gas cans. I always check out their selection of ladders. I don't need one seeing that I have four but it's always nice to see what else is out there. This location has a good selection of gardening tools. I picked up some gloves and s new hose. read more

Simple, I need a couple of tools at a reasonable price. A drill and a reciprocating saw to be exact, but I was only here to look and check out the price. Based on their sales ad, it seems to be a sale every two weeks on the merchandise, which are neatly organized and stocked. The store was not crowded with customers, but they were steadily coming in. The employees seemed friendly and helpful (when they weren't busy talking to each other).When I found what I was looking for, I calculated the items would cost me a little over $50, which was not bad. What can you buy with $1000.00 in Home Depot or Lowes, no many right. But if you go to Harbor Freight Tool, you can get a truck load of tool from em. The store is small, but it sure is pack with big selection. Auto tool, electrical, plumbing, home's good, air tool, power tool, Power pressure, garden, ect... The tool that they sell is not that bad. Some of you will wonder about the quality of their product, since the price is so cheap. Of cause the money you pay for these here is not going to performed like the top quality brand that you buy from elsewhere. If you do came across with any problem,you can return them with in 90 days new or use. Other thing about this place is that they do some crazy sale once in a while, like the parking lots sale. Decent hardware store that has a wide selection given the size of the store. You will find most of the tools you will need for typical jobs around your house or apartment. Prices are very good took One thing I like compared to Home Depot or Lowe's is there is an auto section, so it's a nice alternative to an Advance Auto parts or Autozone whose tools I think are overpriced and not the best quality. The Downside to most HF locations is the lack of cashiers, but you won't have to wait in line too long even with that. They always have coupons for most of their items as well. One major upside is it's a much quicker "in and out" stop here as opposed to the larger home improvement stores. read more

Called to find out if an item was in stock. Spent over 10 minutes on hold between two employees and never got to even ask my question. So, I'm buying the item on Amazon instead for a few bucks more. Worst customer service. Employees act like your bothering them. Wouldn't check if an item was in stock and made me take a ticket and wait in a long line just to find out they were out. I have been to this location multiple times and never had any problems. But I was profiled at this location on 9/15/20 around 1:40 pm and as was followed through the store as he thought I was trying to steal something. When I confronted the man who did it he identified himself as a supervisor and acted like he didn't know what I was talking about. I later called and asked for the manager and he picked up and kept asking why I was so mad about it. He did not have the professionalism or decency to try to understand the gravity of the situation and just downplayed my concerns. I suspect he has done this before and will do it again. I love this place, You have every kind of tool, air tools, air compressors, work benches, it is like a mini-me of home depot and ace hardware all in one. I found a 3/8th inch clear tubing that I could not find at the local auto parts store.The prices are real reasonable at this place.I have yet to see a place with so many manual / power tools /Hardware accessories in one place .This place is definitely my new hang out. read more

It's been a great experience here. I love the fact that you can get those freebie items. Yes, the quality is not the greatest. However, you can't expect much else for free products. The downside is that sometimes it can get pretty busy and they only have two registers. Nonetheless, if you come in at a time that is not as busy, you can be in and out with a free item. read more

JAVIER, the store manager, is very rude and "doesn't care who you are". I waited on line 30 minutes outside the store. There was no rush and everyone was orderly. Once entering the store tickets were being given for generators ( I didn't know that at the time) when I got to him he asked what do you want? I replied, "a generator please". He pointed me to get into line. I was 6th in line for a generator. When I was called to the register the lady said what do you want ? I said a generator. JAVIER said , you don't have a ticket. I said you didn't give me one. RUDELY, He said, "I gave everyone a ticket now get back to the end of the line" . I kept my calm and in a low voice I said, look sir I am a police officer and am not lying to you. You didn't offer me a ticket. JAVIER loudly said " I don't care who you are! Your a cop you should know better, get to the back of the line". Still keeping my calm I said okay, can I have a ticket now? JAVIER said "I don't have anymore, get on line" I'm glad to say I stepped to the back of what is now an enormous line and waited. I am on line right now. Lets see if I get one. read more

javier (#282) was the manager on duty when i had to return a large socket and wrench set. the set was very heavy and he provided a cart so i could make sure all the pieces were in their proper place. javier thanked me for putting all the sockets and wrenches in their proper place and said "you're a class act". that was a nice thing to say. read more

I needed to purchase a torch kit and made my way to the Pembroke Pines location....I usually shop at the Margate location. The torch kit comes in 2 boxes. (A) Torch (B) tanks. With tax $ 339.00 a reasonable price. Of course you have to get the tanks filled which I attempted to do at two different refill stations- AirGas and County welding equipment both in pompano. I was turned away by both because the tanks are manufactured in Taiwan/China. It turns out, the compressed gas cylinders that accompany the torch kit currently sold by Harbor Freight retail stores DO NOT meet DOT specifications. "The welding kit cylinders have not undergone any known safety testing or inspections and may not possess the structural integrity to safely contain its contents under pressure during normal use and in transportation." After spending half a day and unnecessary gas money, I was forced to purchase 2 refillable tanks ( $ 50.00 EA.) in accordance with current US regulations. I returned the two Taiwan tanks back to the Pines location and brought the matter to store manager Javier's attention. He and the rest of the staff were completely unaware of the safety violation/threat these tanks posed. To further add insult to injury, I was offered a partial refund but not before made to stand at the back of a line 8 people deep. ( pictures available).If you plan to purchase a torch kit from Harbor Freight, be prepared to spend an additional $ 100.00 for 2 new refillable tanks.....no refill station will touch the tanks supplied by Taiwan/China. The staff at the Pines Location need to realize the importance of customer care and public safety which starts at the top. I will be contacting corporate next. read more
