I give this little brunch spot a 5 for aesthetic. Nice white tables with a little solo flower on each table. Very cute and quaint, which plays into the Broad Ripple vibe. The food was very rich. This is a super cute cafe with very friendly staff. Some friends and I went for brunch on a Saturday afternoon and the service was fast without any wait. I had a spicy Bloody Mary that was served with a lime wedge and sweet pickle. For my meal I had the Morning Kicker Omelette with Avocado, Cheddar Cheese, baby spinach, tomato, and horseradish sour cream inside - it also normally has bacon but I got mine without. Met my friend for our bi yearly get together here. Her pick. And it was a good one. Be careful if you're not from the area and it's a Sunday. There's another incarnation of Northside that is closed right beside it so you might think it's closed. It's not...it's tucked in the corner. When I arrived I was the only one but it filled up quickly. The server was super nice and friendly and the food was good and fresh. Since I rarely see my friend we obnoxiously stayed over two hours. We didn't feel rushed and tipped accordingly and they were very, very nice about it. I would certainly recommend this place! read more

Once again, I am a sucker for a good breakfast place and this one has all the bells and whistles. First, it's so cute inside! (check out my pictures) it's one of the those places that gets you excited to be there just by the appearance. The breakfast list is small compared to lunch, but has a good mix of options. I got the "Kickin eggs Benedict" (check out picture). When I get eggs Benedict I normally get the hollandaise on the side when going to a new place because I'm not sure if I will like it--BUT this spicy garlic hollandaise is FIRE! So so so good! I started dipping my potatoes in it because I loved it so much. Our waitress, Mackenzie, was so very polite and professional. Our drinks were always filled and she checked on us often, but without being annoying. Haha so that was nice! They have a great list of morning libations-bloody Mary, screwdriver, Baileys, mimosa, etc. My only wish would be this--individual coffee creamers for the coffee. But that is totally a preference! I did mention that the little creamer holder was cute, but I just prefer the individual creamers. They have a chalk board wall that shows different places to try/ information for guest which I thought was super cute. This place is a total hit! Stopped in for a Saturday brunch and loved the vibe. We had friendly/quick service. They have extensive options for omelettes and the ingredients tasted fresh. Except for the egg itself. It came almost like a pita stuffed with cheese and veggies. The egg was obviously pre cooked and then the toppings were added. It wasn't offensive but it wasn't the best omelette I've ever had. Small, quiet, and quite cute. The Kitchennette is my go-to spot for Saturday or Sunday brunch. They serve American style breakfast/ lunch. This place is suitable for a sweet daytime date. I like my coffee BLACK! Alex has been my waiter on several occasions, to my delight. He is so patient; like on the days I say no cream, he doesn't grimace when I request it later. Lol I usually order the Kitchen(ette) Sink (get this if all you want is everything) potatoes, eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy....and if you're like me Sriracha!! Amazing! The best omelette I've had in a very long time. It's so yellow that you would think it's fake but it's absolutely wonderfully put together and delicious. The bread is amazing and I'm pretty sure it's from a local bakery. I hope to come here more often even though it's a bit expensive it's totally worth it. read more

Nestled in a corner of what seems like a private strip mall (it houses Northside Social on one side and the Northside Nook on the other), there is convenient access and parking from College and 65th. The space has a counter near the entrance and the rest of the room is made up of 2 and 4 seat tables where you are supposed to wait to be seated. I opted for a 2-top and was glad to be seated away from the cold air near the entrance. Service was attentive without being intrusive. The only negative was that when I ordered a half sandwich and a side salad, with an additional cup of soup, all were brought at the same time. I would have preferred being given the option to have either the soup or the salad ahead of time. As far as the food, I ordered the Crusty Grilled Four Cheese sandwich which was quite crispy; the bread much darker browned than I've had elsewhere. Although there was plenty of cheese inside and it was mostly melted, there wasn't much flavor. Maybe a bit of butter on the grill instead of oil would have elevated the flavor which was pretty much monotone in flavor without any condiments. The side was made up of colorful greens and diced veggies. All were quite fresh. However, I ordered a raspberry-honey vinaigrette and was brought out a yellow, almost watery dressing. I didn't notice it before the waiter left the table, so I decided to go with it. Surprisingly, there was a lot of flavor in the dressing despite its liquidity. It complemented the salad greens and saved what could have been a disappointment. The highlight of the meal was the soup of the day, a Lobster Chowder. The flavor was rich with lobster flavor though there weren't any large chunks. The soup was served hot and had chunks of red potato as the most noticeable accompaniment of the lobster flavor. Good taste! It appears that they get a good deal of carryout business as well as dine in. They open early and also have breakfast options available even through the lunch period. Great little place in Broad Ripple. I got the breakfast sandwich with turkey sausage and it was so good. Cheesy and salty and the perfect amount of flavor. We also ordered the cinnamon roll and it was so creamy and the perfect amount of sweet. The service was also decent as well. The decor was really cute and there were a lot of Ohio state fans there because it was the Big ten championship football game, so that was really fun too! We had high hopes for brunch at Northside Kitchenette as we loved our experience at Nook. However, for the price of the menu, we felt the food was good, but not excellent. The sausage gravy was yummy; however, I felt my eggs were very underseasoned, my husband's hollandaise sauce lacked seasoning as well, and the french toast was a little dry and not well seasoned either. Searched brunches in the app and this place popped up. The Frosé was DELICIOUS bust grossly overpriced at $10. Bacon toast potatoes were all decent but nothing spectacular. Eggs weren't served hot. We came here for breakfast on a Friday morning around 10:00. The atmosphere is nice, clean and inviting. There were only a couple of other tables with customers so we did not have to wait. I found the metal chairs to be a little uncomfortable. There are bars on either side of the back support and if a person is wider than the space, sitting all the way back is not that comfortable. We were greeted by a friendly server who took our order for water and coffee. She returned and then told us about the special, a version of eggs benedict with pork belly and corn cakes instead of the usual English muffins which my husband ordered and liked it very much. I ordered the Cheesy Bacon Love Omelette. I opted for fruit instead of potatoes for the side as there were potatoes in the omelet. They sent it out with a side of potatoes anyway and then she brought the fruit. The price was a tick high for what we got but not ridiculous. Boy, was I surprised to find trendy industrial decor balanced with pops of floral artwork and quirky little details. Oh, the music is here is great! My husband ordered the Creme Brulee French Toast and I got the Saturday/Sunday-only Kitchenette Sink which is a nap-inducing combination of a 1/2 order of Biscuits and Gravy topped with seasoned potatoes, bacon, two eggs over-easy and melted cheese. We split everything and it was delightful! Coffee was strong but not bitter. Service prompt and polite. Also, Saturday mornings start late there. My kid had the biscuits with sausage gravy, which were 5 stars. My wife had quinoa with shrimp which she liked but did not fill her up, so four stars. We went early on Sunday morning for brunch and had the place to ourselves for about 20 minutes. We were greeted upon arrival & picked our table. The server immediately took our drink orders. My hubby liked the OJ which was not too pulpy. My coffee was smooth & strong. He had the biscuits & gravy - tasty with a hint of spice. Biscuits were very fluffy. The potatoes were grilled, lightly salted, crunchy on the outside. My French toast (brioche bread) with Nutella & bananas was awesome! This was my second time at Northside Kitchenette. I had the breakfast sandwich with turkey sausage. It had a great flavor but it was cold, as were my potatoes. The service my family and I received was unsatisfactory. It took the waitress a long time to acknowledge our table and get our drink order. There were 2 couples around us that ended up leaving because she was taking a long time for the most simple requests. She took all 8 of our orders without writing anything down, and then had to come back to clarify 2 peoples' orders. If I go back, I will wait in order to not be in her section. read more
