First let me say that I have used North Valley Mechanical for all my air conditioning needs for over ten years now and they will always be my service provider because they are the best in every category; sales, maintenance, customer service...you name it they excel! They just replaced my 20 year old unit and here is the story of how the unit was able to last that long after being on my roof in the Arizona heat. Ten years ago the unit went out in August when the temperature was in the high teens...one day after the unit stopped working, it was 119 degrees outside and over 100 in my house. I called the company who had installed it and they said they were too busy to come out and it would be at least four days before they could work me in! I then heard a radio advertisement for NVM. I called them they said they were very busy but would try to come that same day though it may be later in the day. I quickly agreed to whatever time they could work me in. When the technician arrived he went to the roof and determined that the condenser motor was shot...he then asked me to try and locate my warranty for the unit. I thought it was a lost cause because my late husband had handled the arrangements for this unit and I was doubtful I could find the papers. He said he had some paperwork to do and asked me to give it a try. I found the necessary papers and he showed me where today was the last day to get a condenser under warranty! It was mid-afternoon so he called the place that would honor the warranty and provide the condenser and they advised him that they were open until 5pm. He immediately left to get to Phoenix (I live in Sun City West) before they closed. He came back with the new condenser and installed it after what must have been a very long and tiring day for him...I'm so sorry I cannot remember his name but he epitomizes the work ethic and values of this company. The customer's needs are a priority! This year I realized I should purchase a new unit and called NVM. I first dealt with Jimmy Reed who was wonderful and walked me through pricing etc. On September 6th Jimmy and Installers Ramon and Victor Acosta arrived to install my new American Standard unit. Ramon and Victor were efficient, professional, caring and took the time to explain my new thermostat etc. Later, Operations Manager Kendra Buscho, called to see how I liked the new unit and ask if I had any problems or questions. I have dealt with Kendra for over ten years now and told her I received the fantastic service I had come to expect from NVM. North Valley Mechanical is a Great Company!! I was really impressed with Tracy. He was very prompt also very polite. When he let me know the compressor had failed, I felt bad for him because I could tell he felt bad about telling me. He discussed the different options and since my AC unit was almost 10 years old I elected to have a new one installed. At that time Tracy let me know that Jim Reed would give me a call. I received his call about an hour later and he made arrangements to come out the next day and talk to me about having a new unit installed. He also was very helpful very knowledgeable and very professional. This all happened the Memorial Day Weeknd so they made arrangements to come out the following Wednesday and have the new unit installed. To my surprise they came out and set up two portable units for me so I wouldn't melt until they could get my new AC up and running. Wow... I have to say I was really impressed! On Wednesday bright and early at 7 in the morning Ramón and Victor came out and got to work. While they were working they discovered that the wood where the heat portion of the unit would be sitting was all rotted out from a previous leak. The water heater needed to be drained and moved so they could replace that wood. Jim came back out to discuss this replacement with me and at the same time they were trying to drain the old 10 year old hot water heater so they could move it. It was so full of sediment it was almost impossible to drain. They worked and worked on it and everything that came out was in small rocks and sledge. With their helpful advice I decided to go with a new hot water heater. They did a wonderful job. They were courteous and kind and took the time to explain everything to me. I purchased a home warranty plan from Choice Home Warranty (if they contact you run don't walk away from them) last year. In December 2015 had problems with the Heating and Air conditioning unit then again two weeks ago problems again. I used the companies the Warranty company sent out and once they determined the problem was a rusted out coil they made every excuse as to why they would not cover it even offering to buy back my warranty plan, which was much less than the repair cost. Jim Reed with NVM had installed and taken care of units for me previously while I was in business so I contacted him(should have done this first) and he got with me right away, reviewed the problem explaining in detail and gave me a start date for Saturday morning at 7 AM. About 6:40 AM I open the garage door to move vehicles out of the way and Jim and his techs were already on site and preparing to get started. The original duct work installed was not properly installed, sizing was wrong etcetera. The two techs that installed the new equipment were Victor and Ramon. Victor and Ramon were very professional, extremely courteous. and without a doubt very knowledgeable. Once they completed the job, checked everything, then explained and showed me what had been done they completely cleaned up after themselves which not all contractors do today. Jim and this company and has always taken the time to explain what needs to be done, have always been up front about what is not needed, Jims word is a good as it gets. Whoa...Recently we had an incident in our Scottsdale, AZ condo and had used North Valley Mechanical before for Heating and Air Conditioning services. Our tenant staying in the condo called us up in Montana to inform us of a mysterious leak which was causing potentially serious water damage. I immediately (on a Sunday afternoon) called the trusted professional Kirk Buscho the owner of NVM. Kirk actually and amazingly left a family outing to go onsite for us and determine the cause and source of the leak. Kirk, Kendra and Katharine from then on swiftly, professionally and patiently handled our water damage and subsequent water heater damage nightmare. The leak was fixed, a mitigation company AZ Hydro Pro was referred in for water damage mitigation and eventually to act as the general contractor in the rebuilding of the kitchen back to pre - loss condition. Kirk and his crew not only repaired the leak, took the professional pictures for the insurance claim, but additionally replaced the entire damaged water heater in just a few short days. Time was of the essence and NVM was responsive, performed quality services and repairs and delivered. Furthermore, Kirk stayed with the incident and help guide us through the process and gave us extremely valuable advice. The trust that developed between us Montanans and this professional and seasoned Heating and Air Conditioning company is virtually indescribable. A week ago my AC starting acting up. I called my home warranty and they assigned a repair company to me. That company could not get to my house for 3 days. I called back and they assigned North Valley Mechanical and I am so happy that the first company was too busy! The technician came out the same day and told me the unit was low on Freon and that there was most likely a leak but he could not detect it. He said that he was going to put a dye in the Freon so if it leaked again he would be able to repair it. I have had Freon put in the unit twice before in past years and no one has ever thought to put a dye in it. The unit worked for two days and then could not keep up so I called them and they sent the same technician out. He took a picture and showed me the leak. I knew the unit was old and needed to be replaced so he repaired the unit with no charge so we would have AC until the new unit could be installed a few days later. A sales manager came out to my house that evening and looked everything over and discussed the unit that was best for our house. The day they installed it went incredibly smooth. Everyone was on time or early. They started at 7:00, the crane came at 9:00 and they were programming the thermostat and cooling the house off by 12:30. I would highly recommend them and will continue to use them to maintain my unit instead of using my home warranty. read more

Today, North Valley Mechanical replaced our 20+ year old A/C unit after a long battle with our home warranty company. This organization is the epitome of professional and has amazing work ethic. Jimmy, the Senior Sales Manager, and all the technicians he brought for the installation were prompt, efficient, and extremely professional, but also personable. They were sure to explain every step of the job and thoroughly answered all my questions. If they moved something or made a mess, they corrected it when they were done and left our home with no negative traces that they had done any work. Of all the impressive things they did, I was most impressed with their integrity and work ethic. As they were working through the job, they found several preexisting discrepancies from the original installation that they corrected without charging us. The explanation given was "I simply couldn't overlook those errors and leave your home that way." We weren't just a job...they cared about us as clients and it showed through the entire process. We have used Frank Bristyan Air Conditioning for over 20 years and have always been so pleased with their professionalism, quality of work, honesty, and expertise. When Bristyan Air merged with North Valley Mechanical this year, we hoped the there would be no changes to the excellent experiences we have had with Bristyan Air Conditioning. Our first experience with NWM was this month when our compressor went out on an older unit. Their customer service and scheduling were very professional, we had a confirmation of our appointment and a text when on the way, and Frank and his technicians were able to replace our compressor for a fair price in a timely manner. Frank takes the time to explain thoroughly the repair process and is very knowledgable in this industry. He amazes us how he knows all the contacts to reach out to for the different vendors and his product knowledge is very impressive. Nobody wants to have to pay for repairs or replacements. We live in Arizona. It's summer. It's hot. Our AC stopped working on a Thursday afternoon. We called our warranty company, and North Valley Mechanical arrived at our house the next day. Unfortunately, we learned we had a burned out compressor. Kyle at North Valley got the work order to the warranty company even though it was close to closing time for North Valley. Because of Kyle's quick action, that same day we received a call from the warranty company saying that they would cover the compressor and do what they could to expedite the repair order. We figured we'd have to wait until the following week or later before North Valley could get the compressor and install it. The very next day, Miguel and his twin brother from North Valley arrived and installed the new compressor. They were thorough, efficient, and pleasant to work with. A friend of mine was hit by one of the drivers she reached out to to Kendra Buschro to let her know how dangerous and careless the driver was being (with proof) she refused to to even give her a simple apology after their lunatic driver hit her car proceeded to tailgate, honk and intimidate her. North Valley Mechanical installed two new AC and Furnace units in my residence several years ago and have since maintained both is excellent working order. Because my smaller unit felt like it was under performing North Valley Mechanical sent a Technician to survey the situation. They recommended adding another air return and scheduled Technician Derrick Peoples to remedy the situation. Last week Derrick installed an additional air return and I was amazed at the immediate improvement. I had North Valley Mechanical conduct an energy audit on my home. The whole process was wonderful. They were very flexible in regard to working around my infant son's nap schedule, and arrived EXACTLY when they said they would (you can't say that about many businesses in the service industry...) They explained everything that they would be doing as they did it, they were courteous and they didn't leave a speck of dust or dirt in my house (despite needing to crawl around in my attic at one point). Shortly after they left, they emailed me a multi-page document outlining all of the tests they had completed, their recommendations beginning with the most important, and even provided information about programs through APS that could help me finance the repairs. Thank you North Valley Mechanical for your outstanding customer service, which went far beyond what is normally expected. I recently had an unusual problem with my 13-month old AC unit. The compressor was rapidly cycling on/off because an internal coating in it had dissolved and partially blocked a valve. The NVM tech correctly diagnosed the problem. A second visit was required to obtain and add an additive to the coolant that should free the blockage, according the AC manufacturer. Not so in my case; bad luck I guess. In a third visit the tech replaced the damaged valve. The AC has been working fine since then. NVM did all that without any charge, even though the unit was out of warranty. Furthermore, their techs were always on-time, friendly, knowledgeable, and skilled. I will definitely use NVM for future service and recommend them to my friends without hesitation. North Valley Mechanical and Kirk replaced our AC unit in May 2014. Along with our old and undersized unit, our 60-year-old house had inefficient and leaky duct work that had been cobbled together over the years to fit remodels and expansions. Whereas another company said using the existing duct work would be fine, Kirk designed a new duct system specifically for the layout and size of our house. After seeing the old duct work when it came out, I can't imagine having left that in our house and how much that would have hurt airflow. The installation crew was great and their techs made several trips back for free to make minor adjustments to get the airflow just right. Our airflow is now much stronger and more even, and the unit itself sounds like it's not even running compared to the noisy old unit. Most importantly, our electric bill dropped 42% within 6 months. I just had some air-conditioning service done today. This company is top notch. I had scheduled an appointment about a week in advance. They explained to me my technician would be Anthony on the day of my appointment. They sent me a text notification to tell me the technician was on his way. I had an 8 AM to 9 AM appointment. At 8:05 AM, Anthony arrived at my door. Anthony is very friendly, but most of all, very knowledgeable about his profession. Anthony let me know of all the services/maintenance packages available. But at no time, was there any pressure to purchase anything. Anthony did his routine service on my air-conditioner. He also took many photos and explained the condition of my air-conditioning unit. I want to first apologize to the operations manager and owner for my attitude directed at you. I was very upset last week because my ac units kept freezing on me after they had been charged last May. I spoke to my homeowners warranty and they wanted me to pay another fee for someone to come out and look at my ac units which i refused to do. After speaking to North Valley Mechanical and hanging up on them (for something they cannot control) I had the owner Kurt call me and tell me he would take care of the warranty fee. A tech came out figured out that i had two bad valves that needed replaced (under warranty) and needed to be ordered. The next day a tech came out and worked all day replacing the bad valves on my ac units. Now my AC units are blowing cold with no issues. Our 19yo a/c needed to be replaced along with recoating our flat foam roof. For years, formerly a customer of Frank Bristyan a/c co., now he works for NVM. On July 4th, (a holiday of course!) our air conditioner went out and we knew it was time to replace it. We had been limping along for the last 2 summers. Jim with North Valley came out on the holiday and took his time to explain to us our options. We decided to replace it. They were able to schedule the install within 48 hours and even brought some cooling units to our home for the interim so we could stay there. The team who did the install, Ramone, Victor, and Jose showed up on the day of install on time and were extremely professional. They worked all day and did an awesome job. North Valley Mechanical sent out a technician after we called Fidelity Home Warranty. One of our vents was not flowing heat or air conditioning. The tech said that our furnace was not strong enough and that is why we were not getting air. Told me that the duct work was well sealed. Had a duct contractor come out and said the duct that was not flowing air had been collapsed because it appeared that someone stepped or fell on it. That the duct was open and the air was blowing freely into the attic and that was why it was not flowing through the vent. They also found that all of the duct work needed sealing and was not "well sealed". North Valley Mechanical would not return the money we paid them to come out. They don't have to worry about us calling them again. read more

These men were very efficient, knowledgable, and prompt.
