I have used Fix It Frankie's on more than one occasion, once for my 40 year old AC Unit and last for my kitchen plumbing and on each occasion the tech was on time, friendly, and explained everything in terms I could understand (even a diagram). After an initial misunderstanding over the appointment, Brian came to my house. I had a known part issue with my HVAC. Instead of the usual dance and sales pitch for a service contract, Brian went right to work and confirmed the defective part. He replaced immediately, at a reasonable price, and had my heat and A/C back on within the hour. He is a professional and a people person, who tells it like it is. I was connected with Sun Tech through my home warranty. I had a very old AC Unit and we replaced a couple of things but it was apparent that we were going to need a new unit. I worked with the company to get the proper AC unit and competative pricing, we had a deal. In the times of supply chain issues and getting things turned around quickly, it was great, we were without ac for about a week. The guys come when they say they are going to come. They make an appointment with you and confirm everything and then send you updates the day before and the day of to keep you informed of when your technician will arrive. Since the install, the compressor went out for some odd reason, and Sun Tech came out, replaced the whole thing and got it up and running no questions asked. I'll be keeping them on my list for anything I need AC wise. read more

Told me I needed a new AC before even looking at mine. Spent ab 1 minute looking at it before diagnosing it as a loss due to "dirt coils". Called a different company that came out and spent about an hour taking everything apart to inspect. New company fixed the problem and said there were zero signs of dirty coils. Don't recommend these liars at all. They didn't come to fix my AC. They came to make me buy a new one. I definitely won't be buying from these guys when the time comes. read more

THEY ARE HORRIBLE! Take no accountability nor action for their horribly inept 'service?'. I'm guessing using a horrible home warranty company isn't helping but SUN TECH could 1) answer their phone 2) show up 3) call / text / send a pigeon message if they aren't going to show up and lastly 4) let us know what their new appt time is when they don't show up for the original appt and reschedule - without notice. OHHH and they could not lie to One Guard home warranty (stay away from them too!) Our A/C has been out since 7/19 and they have managed to come out on 7/22 to 'assess and not fix anything - order parts without immediate concern or prompt contact to the home warranty company. Sun Tech didn't show up / call /reschedule the 7/29 appt. Then they showed up on the 30th and have to order another part and 'think' we may need another part. Apparently they couldn't come out on Fri as they had a thunderstorm/rain (not sure where that storm was but it was not at Az Heat advisory, not only is this ridiculous it is dangerous. (btw - OneGuard is 'arguing' with me telling me the weather is only 85 in Surprize Az where the temp in Phx is showing 100. OneGuard has also told me we haven't had any days in the past few wks of over 105 - wtf?) These two companies are RIDICULOUS - A true CLUSTER @#$% relationship. As soon as I hit enter on this review, I will be writing to the BBB / FTC on this completely dangerous and inexcusable situation. I'm really happy for those of you who received ANY service. After having another company come out via home warranty they told me I installed my thermostat wrong which I knew wasn't the case. I knew it was the switch valve thing that was stuck and wouldn't switch between hot and cold. Our unit is 30 years old and I'm not in the spot to buy a new one yet. I pushed back to the warranty company and they sent Sun Tech out and Jose showed up! He was AMAZING! He used his resources and figured it out and got us staying warm during the winter! The AC went out in my house on Tuesday night, August 1st. Sucked it up through the night and the next morning started making calls to see who could help. Called Sun Tech based on a referral from a friend and they could get out same day, which was AMAZING! The gentleman showed up on time, which was again great! He got there, checked my thermostat, I told him the issues, and he got on my roof to look at the unit. He was very quickly able to diagnose the issue which was the blower motor. I thought "Great, don't need a new unit, sounds like an easy fix." He then told me it would be $2,100 and that they didn't have any in stock. He said it would be 5-6 days until they could get the part and a couple more weeks until they could install it because of how busy they are. Okay..... I understand that it is the dead of summer in Phoenix and that they are definitely busy! But a couple of weeks until you could get my AC to work and $2,100? I started to stress and asked if there was anyway it could be sooner. He said probably not and that he would have the office send me a quote that same day. Well.... It's been 2 days and I still haven't received a quote, which would be fine if it was any issue other than my AC, which as we all know, you can't exactly live in a place in August in Phoenix with no AC, especially with pets. Luckily I found someone else that could come out same day and fixed it and charged me $400. It took him 30 minutes. The 2 stars is solely because he was nice, and they could get someone out same day and on time, which I appreciate. Not happy about anything else though. read more

Sun Tech was dispatched from Landmark/One Guard home warranty service and it all started well with them as the technician was professional and thorough, however we had a coil that is aging and apparently after the 2nd technician was here we had a major leak such that we smelled gas. Funny never had that over all the years and after the first technician the system cooled just fine with no smell. Now they are telling the home warranty company that this was pre-existing condition that had failed. Logically think it through.. is how I tried to communicate with them as we had no issues during the early 115+ days of heat such that if it was failed already would we just sat in the heat? We had HVAC technicians out for annual service just before the summer and there were no issues. My opinion, but they are in good with the home warranty company and do all the can to make it easy for them to avoid paying out. read more
