Worse company I have ever dealt with. Because of poor installation of a compressor, AND a month later a visit woth same Tech saying both my units were good to go for heat and then in 30 days told I need two new units, I reached out and asked to talk to the owner. After two days the owner called. I explained my experience with the service person who came to my house and my dissatisfaction with what occurred. The owner gave me his word he wanted to make this right and we set a date for him to come out and inspect the work performed by his service guy. Unfortunately he never called, and never showed up. The following day I called the office amd advised gal on phone I stayed home all day from work and owner never showed. She said she would have him call me and he never did. I called a reputable company and they told me my one unit was definitely going to need to be replaced due to all the wires cut (by sun tech tech) and the compressor they put on was the worse job he ever has seen. I have worked with dozens of A/C companies and I have now found my go to company. They were prompt, professional, and have good pricing.

One those where 1 is too many stars. My home warranty sent this company to see why my unit wasn't blowing cold air. I wasn't at home when the tech arrived but spoke to him on the phone while he stood on my front porch diagnosing my "issue" by the age of my home. I, of course, needed to replace my system. Hadn't even been in my yard or inside my home. He opened the box and told me my compressor was shot and that I needed to replace my entire system. Went into my attic, not sure why, insulation fell like snow and he made no attempt to clean it up. I told him I couldn't afford a new unit so he quoted me an estimate $2600 for freon and $506 to clean my coil. Said it would be a wk to get approval from my HW company for the compressor but if I bought the new unit it could be in within 2 days. 2 days later my HW company called to deny my claim due to the issue not being related to normal wear and tear. I refused to accept the response. Today the 2nd opinion contractor arrived. I needed freon. He charged the unit put a cleaning agent on my coil and it cost me less than what this company was going to charge me to "clean" my coil. Maybe he took advantage assuming I was an ignorant woman or maybe he was just an asshole. I'll never know. Please don't let them try to pull one over on you read more

We contacted our home insurance company (OneGuard) for an AC issue and was told that this firm was assigned and that Sun Tech would call us back within 24 hours to schedule. The call never came in . . . we called OneGuard and they said that they would call them for us (they did, and left a message) but that we could call them ourselves to schedule. I called a couple of times. Three days later I get a text message that they are swamped and they'll call us back sometime soon to schedule. When they finally called, they gave us some date way off in the future. This kind of poor service just to get them to come out . . . it's not indicative of a good company, that's for sure! read more

These guys are simply the best. Jason came by and showed me why my unit was not right for my home and where the previous company had failed to correct after many visits and expense. It became obvious that I needed a new unit so Jason walked me through all the options available from American Standard. We decided to go with the 2 stage heat pump after he explained all the benefits of this type of system. Being a Consumer Reports best buy made the decision easier. Horrible experience. SunTech was AC repair our home warranty Landmark sent out. When the tech was assessing the issue which was simply that our AC wasn't cooling as typical (it was working), all of the sudden I smelled gas of which I never had before. SunTech claimed we had some presexisting condition which is absurd as their claim had nothing to do with our issues and request for repair hence brings into question of did they damage something else and are now claiming inaccurate preexisting condition..... Clearly most poor reviews on SunTech are home warranty based so should say something.... We called to ask questions and they person we spoke with couldn't answer specifics and continued same rehtoric of some mysterious preexisting condition. We even asked how it could be preexisting but couldn't get an answer. We had to request a different vendor who also agreed that the claim is questionable. We ended going with second vendor. It's frustrating that companies are not trustworthy. I would avoid and go with another HVAC company as plenty of other options. read more

***Update*** this company is unethical. My home warranty company called these bozos out last November because my heat wouldn't work. Went to turn on the AC this year and the heat came on no matter what mode it was in. Called Sun Tech and was told they could send someone out but it would cost me a $79 diagnostic fee even though it worked fine before they touched it. Called out another company last night and what did they find? Someone unplugged the wire to the reversing valve! Gee I wonder why they did that? Couldn't be to get another service call and an additional $79 do you think? I'm going to call the news and make these thieves famous. read more

My home warranty company, OneGuard, assigned me to Sun Tech. I was told they would reach out to me. After 4 hours, I had not heard anything so I called the office and was told the scheduler was out but would call me within the hour. 2 hours later I still had heard nothing. I called again and was asked if they could call me back immediately. Never got a call back. What a joke. Requested that my warranty company take them off of my claim. Unfortunate, I like supporting small local business especially in times likes these. Must not want to work. Would rather give the money to hard working companies. read more

My heater went out on the 4th, I called my home warranty and we were told we would get a call within 4 hours. We heard nothing until after the weekend on Monday, despite the fact that Sun Tech's recording says they're open on Saturdays. The technician then came on that Tuesday the 8th (4 days without heat), and said he needed to order a part and it would be back within 2 days. Despite several frantic calls, we then found out that the part wouldn't be in an entire week after the day we were told it would arrive. Today is 10 days without heat and it drops below freezing at night. I also have a baby in the house. I was just told today that someone will be out on the 17th... which is a full 13 DAYS WITHOUT HEAT. The scheduler is fully aware and doesn't show a single ounce of empathy or remorse in her voice when I talk to her, not an apology or anything. I wouldn't wish this service on anyone. read more

Had a great experience getting two new a/c units put in and all the corresponding equipment and duct work, etc. that goes along with it. They were polite, on time, explained things and didn't leave a mess. Thanks to Hugo and co-worker gentleman whose name that I didn't catch. Their customer service was calm (which we like), methodical and thorough. They worked hard and got it done in a timely manner. They followed safety guidelines. Cautionary Tale: Woe unto anyone who gets assigned this contractor through their home warranty. My AC went out on a Saturday and I requested an emergency call-out that day. Did not see a technician until the following Tuesday...not in the morning or anything, but at 6pm. After 10min of troubleshooting, the tech decided it was not fixable without new compressor (the most expensive solution). They finally got it installed over a week later from the original call-out. Then customer service literally lectured me over the phone stating I was NOT the client when I asked for a line item invoice vs. the lump sum they were charging. ...steer clear, there are plenty of other options in the valley. read more

The staff was on time and respectful however, we had a warranty on air conditioner so thought the service call would be low to no cost. He cleaned a coil and ran solvent through it, spending less than 15 minutes. The bill was $300 plus he charged for a service call. WOW. Very excessive. Very disappointed. read more

After having 3 different AC companies come out and tell us that nothing was wrong with are ac mike was able to figure out that are control board was fired. 2 days later mike came back installed the new board and found out that are ac wires were installed carelessly and he cleaned up the wires to protect are new control board. We had a service tech come out through our home warranty company. The tech incorrectly redirected the condensation line which led to a water leak in our walls and underneath our wood floors. Jason confirmed with us that he would pay for the cost of the repairs and he has been avoiding us now that it is time to pay. I have One Guard Home Warranty it's the Best home warranty. My house AC went out. I called my home warranty and they recommended Sun Tech Ait Conditioning and set up an appointment for Sun Tech to contact me but I never heard from them. I gave them four stars because I had to call them to get them to come out. The tech told me that my compressor needed to be replaced. The tech said it was covered under my warranty but the lady at Sun Tech told me there would be a cost from my warranty company and I would need to select which compressor I wanted. So I called my warranty company and they asked who I spoke to over there. I said the same lady that said she called me but I never received a call, so I called them to get a tech to come out. No cost from my warranty company. It took a few days to get a new compressor in. Sun tech's initial tech was great and identified the problem and order a new compressor. It took a few days to get in. The second tech that replaced the compressor was great too. The misunderstanding was the person in the office. read more
