There honestly is very little to not like about this spot. If I had to give you two cons, one would be the lack of street parking and the other would be the beer/cocktail prices are a bit high. But you can always get a can of Hams for $2 if money is tight :-). Incredibly cool vibe, accommodating staff who will always greet you with a smile, great and inventive menu and cocktails (which are changing constantly, I might add), and family-friendly too. We love this spot so much and go quite often. You can make a reservation on Resy, which I highly recommend on weekend nights. They have a honey-fried chicken sandwich, which is amazeballs, and eclectic stuff too like stuffed Skate with crab meat. But also "normal" food such as wings, beef, lamb or tuna burgers, chicken, fish and chips, clams, mussels, etc., etc. etc. In other words, if you can't find something to eat here, you don't like food! Big TVs in the bar area, which is where we choose to eat but they also have a large dining room with another bar in the back. The boob picture is pretty famous as well...if you know you know, lol. One of the only places left on the planet where I can get a wedge salad with iceberg lettuce, but I digress. We have yet to get there for their brunch but it's on the to-do list for sure. Such a neighborhood gem that I am so happy we gave a chance! We have been there a few times now, and have not yet been disappointed by anything. We like how the menu changes and offers some level of variation on a daily basis while some seasonal staples remain consistent (like the potato and cheddar pierogis that I was super happy to see the last few times we went). I also seem to be a tad obsessed with the chicken breast (pictured). Such a tasty prep as the fall weather is upon us. We are thankful to have this place nearby. We went to North Third for my husband's Fathers Day dinner and it was fantastic. It came highly recommended by our friends that live in the area and now we understand why. The food was delicious. We ordered the French onion soup, the Thai chicken wings, the curry salmon, and the steak frites. Every single dish was 10/10. We loved that the entire front wall was garage doors that they had opened, letting us have the experience of eating outside without actually having to sit on the sidewalk. I came here with my sister on our birthday for dinner. The ambience is very chill and funky and they have seating outside and inside which was great. I ordered the clam linguine, flower power cocktail (seemed too on brand to pass up), and the buffalo cauliflower. Service was great, and our waitress even brought us champagne as a toast at the end of our meal. The Brussels sprouts and cauliflower were incredible!! The sprouts were roasted with glazed walnuts and wow it was packed with flavor and richness! The cauliflower was crispy and the buffalo sauce was a traditional one with great heat. I absolutely could've had more sauce it was so good, but I liked that the cauliflower wasn't drenched in the sauce. That always seems to make it too soggy then, so the crisp and flavors were great. The clam linguine was good but not my favorite. The sauce was over salted, perhaps there was salted water the clams were cooked in that got included, I'm not sure. It was a white wine sauce though and I'm bummed because it was so salty I couldn't even eat the sauce with the bread. What a fun and yummy dinner. My sis and I went here for our birthday dinner. We made reservations about three days before and arrived on a beautiful sunny day. They have such a cool interior with a huge eagle on the ceiling and lots of cool adds. They have outdoor and indoor seating and the windows are open which provided a nice breeze. They have a contactless menu for food and drinks. We ordered the duck breast, clam linguini and the buffalo cauliflower for an appetizer. We also ordered their flower power cocktail. Let me tell you. It was so good!!!!!! Everything had the best amount of flavor and portions. The vibe was just all around great and the music was at just the right level. Love N3rd, but for the second time I was truly disappointed with the service received on Sunday 1/12. Our waiter/bartender was not attentive. After he took our order he never brought us sharing plates or silverware even knowing that we were sharing our meal. The food runner even asked us "where's your server" after he dropped our food. Cause he had to get everything for us. the server never came back to ask how we were doing after a few bites... I don't know how I've never reviewed this place. What a gem in northern liberties. We came here on what was possibly one of the last warm days of November. The place was packed but we were able to get seated at their self serve chairs. They're taking good precautions for covid. They had a treat ready for my pup when we ordered food. I always like restaurants that treat our furry family members well. We ordered the famous wings and the amazeball burger. OMG. The food is to die for. We were not able to finish both the things. Good portions and good taste. Drinks were very good too. I really liked the service. Even though it was a self serve area, they got a water bowl for my pup. I came here for a goodbye happy hour with my coworker friends. They were able to seat all 12 of us outside and the environment and service was exceptional. The food, however, was just okay. Tried North Third since it's near my friends house. I haven't tried this place so we figured we would give it a chance. Inside the restaurant ha a very hipster vibe that's decorated nicely for Christmas. It was warm and comforting and despite the door being opened and closed, it didn't feel cold. There was also a tv in the bar area which is nice for sports games. We went for happy hour. The drink specials weren't anything to write home about and the cocktails aren't included in happy hour, which is unfortunate. We ordered wings as an app which were just okay. After the fact I wish I would have tried to Thai flavor instead of buffalo. I've definitely had better buffalo flavored wings but the size of them were pretty big. I got fish tacos as my dinner. They were good but nothing to write home about. They seemed to be missing something but I'm not sure what it is. Also note the fish on them is fried..unsure if that makes a difference to anyone or not. My friend got the burger which she seemed to like as well. The fries were good but very greasy.. I know some people like them like that but I prefer mine not dripping in grease. The service was okay and friendly. We were seated initially by a group of loud customers but they ended up leaving so it was a better vibe afterward. I looked on previous reviews and it seems as though brunch is good here.. so if anything I'd have to try the food then. Got a craving for bread pudding while we were in town and North Third did not disappoint. We called around to a few different well rated places to see if they had any bread pudding, North Third said they had chocolate chip, so here we are. This bread pudding was everything it should be. Cold ice cream, warm bread pudding, and the chocolate drizzle! We also got some spiked apple cider. It wasn't as hot coming out as I would've liked, but it was still good cider. TIP: You need your entire party present in order to get seated. I've only been for brunch though, so not sure if this applies other times. The space has a fun, eclectic vibe to it. Weird sculptures, knickknacks and art are displayed throughout the entire restaurant -- no idea where you even find that kind of stuff! Prices are very decent for large portions -- North Third was definitely a staple back when I lived in NoLibs. Unfortunately, my biggest complaint with this place is that I got food poisoning from the shrimp and grits the last time I went. I have a really strong GI system and pretty much nothing phases me, but man those shrimp and grits had me feeling pretty shitty (literally) that fay. Im so happy we came to North Third for brunch!! The place is super unique and has very cool decorations throughout the bar. Its surprisingly big with a lot of indoor and outdoor dining. The drinks & food were both spectacular! The blood orange margaritas and mimosa both hit the spot. The brunch menu changes each weekend so after having a tough time deciding what to get, we decided to go with the eggs Benedict and breakfast burrito. The eggs benedict was very good with a sweeter hollandaise sauce. The burrito was very filling, had a lot of toppings inside, and tasted amazing with the sides of sour cream and guac. We were very impressed with our dinner at North 3rd. The space has a funky, eclectic vibe that could be tacky but isn't. We came around 6:00 on a Sunday night and we were seated right away. By the time we left the place was fairly filled up. Service was great all night. The food came out surprisingly fast. We had the Beet Salad and Vegetable Spring rolls to start with. The salad had a very nice Red Wine Vinaigrette dressing. The spring rolls were excellent and not oily. The dipping sauce was perfect. For entrees we had the Moroccan Spiced Lamb burger, the Hanger Steak and the Crispy Atlantic Salmon. All three dishes were winners and had good flavors. The hanger steak sauce and French fries were killing me. I was making a semi Poutine out of them. The curry and garlic spinach with the Salmon were also excellent. The lamb burger was nice also and came with Tzatzki sauce. I would order any of these 3 dishes again. For dessert we had some sort of chocolate chip bread pudding with vanilla ice cream. This was so good we almost ordered another one for the three of us. North 3rd has a decent beer on tap selection and also a full bar. It is also pretty reasonable. I love Northern Liberties, it never did me wrong....until today. Clearly strolling through N. Liberties and scrolling through yelp....you find many fabulous options for food. Having never been to North Third and lured in by the enormous eagle over their bar, we happily took a seat by the window. A little surprised over entree prices at what looks like a regular old bar, we opted for 2 appetizers. Fish Tacos - SKIP THIS OPTION by all means necessary. Not to be a bitch or anything, but these totally sucked. Two completely flavorless tacos. It was bland fried fish, with cabbage and tons of tarter sauce. It was the furthest thing from a taco I've ever had. Thai Wings - Nice crisp wings is the nicest thing I can say about this plate. They were SMOTHERED in sauce, topped with cilantro and some peanuts. This was ok, just ok. Our plate brought all flat wings, which was kind of odd...I kind of hate those...but I was starving so just let it be. Fries - When the fries are the highlight of your meal there's a problem. We both ordered drinks a martini and a caipirinha that were nicely made. Community service builds healthy appetites! A team and I finished packing food boxes for Philabundance and since we were already in Northern Liberties, we headed to nearby North Third for good eats. They have a full bar (which some of us took advantage of) and had ample seating for our party. We sat near one of their many windows which light up the indoors well. Their dining room is decorated with many pieces of art of mixed styles. It was early afternoon so most of our group opted for brunch and breakfast foods. I ordered a hearty plate of eggs (sunny side up, of course), sausage, toast, and potatoes. The sausage cuts were HUGE! I ordered a fresh glass of OJ to wash it all down. The fresh fruit that came with my dish was a nice touch. All they had for spice was Tabasco unfortunately - wish they had a little more variety with hot sauces, but oh well... Be sure to get there before 3:30 for brunch or come after 4 for dinner because from 3:30-4 they serve burgers salad and fries only. I know this from what I over heard at the other table. Due to a slight planning snafu, we found ourselves in Philly without a NYE dinner reservation this year, but North Third came to the rescue --- we were able to walk in around 6:45 PM with a group of 6 people and be seated immediately for what turned out to be a lovely and affordable meal. I appreciated that they did not have an expensive limited menu, instead offering their usual fare plus a decent number of specials. The atmosphere in this place is quite unique and reminds me of New Orleans --- all walls are decked out in eclectic pieces of artwork unlike anything you've ever seen. Make sure you really stop and take it all in --- everytime you glance up, you notice something different. I had an awesome cocktail off of their special menu that featured bourbon and apple cider --- I don't remember all of the details, but I really enjoyed it. For appetizer, we split two plates of wings after a friend touted their Famous Buffalo wings among the best in Philadelphia. Since we were getting two orders, we decided to try the Thai chili wings as well. It turned out, the buffalo wings were delicious, but the Thai wings were incredible. I am not one to opt for wings when left to my own devices, but I would definitely order these again. We also ordered the pierogi, which were just okay for me (though my family is Polish and I'm kind of a pierogi snob). I chose the "No Resolutions" burger off of the special menu for my entree, featuring bacon, pickles, onion rings, and special sauce --- all the best burger toppings. It was delicious, though the onion ring got lost in all of the other flavors happening. BF ordered the lamb burger, which he enjoyed, though kept saying, "This just tastes like a normal burger." I have lived in Northern Liberties for about two years and have yet to find a better dinner spot than North Third. I have fond memories of moving into my apartment and then coming here with my parents on a recommendation from my uncle- I remember him telling us that when Joe Biden was in town, he insisted on stopping here and I can see why. This place is a mere four minute walk from my apartment and I come here often, as well as order takeout. You won't find better comfort food in Nolibs. The perogies are standouts and I'm a huge fan of both the burger and the pulled pork sandwich. The specials are always superb and the chocolate chip bread pudding they have occasionally is out of this world. My father is partial to the tuna burger and the beet salad. The environment is dark, the decor is interesting and the staff and patrons are extremely chill, as you would expect. They tweet out their specials daily. The beer selection is top notch and it's the perfect place to go and catch up with a friend on a relaxing night. They have some outside seating which is quite lovely when it's nice outside.
