I took some work friends here for happy hour. We got there about 10 minutes before it started. Our server was able to put our drinks in for the happy hour prices The pineapple caipirinha and cucumber lemon martini were very good. The espresso old-fashioned was on the menu, but was also very good. Happy hour food menu had a good selection. The chicken and beef empanadas were tasty. The muscles were excellent. Salmon guacamole was delicious. The salmon tacos were also very good. The servers were excellent. They were helpful in explaining drinks. The restaurant is in a renovated old-time bar. It has bar seating and tables, and also has tables outside in the nice weather. It has a very relaxing vibe.

Came out to Philly for games and date night with friends. Parking is scarce so we did uber which worked out great. Restaurant is small but very homey. Waitress was very attentive and helpful. Drinks were made fast and were delicious. Empanadas were our appetizer and were delicious! Main entrees came out soon after and lived up to the hype. Everything was amazing and definitely will come back again!

Excellent food and drinks, server was very friendly and fast. Good happy hour. We tried the sangria, fried calamari, salmon, and chimichurri skirt steak - all of which was delicious. Highly recommend.

Interesting cart that was at the Pierogi fest at Olde Kensington. They had a ton of Mexican non alcoholic drinks that sounded amazing. I didn't have any but they looked really good (especially in the heat). I had the Kielbasa and mozzarella cheese Pierogi which was really good. The kielbasa was good quality and tasted good with the cheese. The sauce is really good (tasted like cilantro). The coleslaw was pretty good as well (I really liked the purple cabbage in it).

Stopped in tonight (Monday) for dinner with a friend. We had both never been here before. Pleasantly surprised that they offer happy hour until 7pm! We both ordered a drink and an appetizer (fried calamari and muscles) from the happy hour menu. I enjoyed the salmon for my entree. Everything was really good! Service was great!

THE FOOD WAS SOO GOOD. I especially loved the salmon guacamole, first though it was a weird combo but after having it with the sweet sauce and fresh raw salmon it was delicious. they waiters were sooo sweet the whole time so wonderful service. We went on a slow day with very little people so got to enjoy ourselves but still wonder place. food was soo flavorful and it was all gone after lol. 10/10 would come back.

Found this cool neighborhood spot on a Sunday afternoon walk. Super friendly service from Frankie who recommended several great items. They don't have a huge wine list but had a few very drinkable selections. Their menus is so interesting that I can't wait to come back and sample more items. Pictured is the salmon guacamole which is fresh and fantastic, drizzled with the right amount or balsamic to give it a lovely not-too-sweet finish. I'll be back and will tell my friends to be sure to check it out.

As a Northern Liberties resident, I've visited Fringe Bar several times and have generally enjoyed the experience before my recent experience with the manager. Unfortunately, my visit on June 13 around 4:30 PM completely changed my opinion of this establishment. My friend and I were seated and waited nearly 20 minutes before our food order was taken. Our server explained that their ordering system had gone down.... We were understanding and patient but to be honest it felt like she forgot. About 10 minutes later, we finally received our drinks, and our server shared that management had continued assigning her additional tables despite the issues, making it difficult for her to keep up. We sympathized with her and gave the staff plenty of grace. After waiting another 30 minutes, nearly an hour total since arriving, we still had not received our food. What made the situation even more frustrating was watching another table that arrived roughly 30 minutes after us receive their meals before we did. At that point, I approached Henry to ask about our order. I explained that we had been waiting for nearly an hour and that guests who arrived significantly later had already been served and they needed to hurry up with our food because we were hungry. Before I could even finish speaking, Henry interrupted me, stated that he would comp the food, and told us to leave. All I wanted was an explanation and asked that our order be prioritized after such a long wait. Instead of attempting to resolve the issue, Henry immediately escalated the situation and effectively removed us from the restaurant. The interaction felt dismissive, unprofessional, and completely lacking in customer service. Even another manager appeared surprised by how quickly our order was canceled and how the situation was handled. The entire experience left me feeling unwelcome and disrespected. Mistakes happen. Delays happen. What determines whether customers return is how management responds. Unfortunately, Henry's arrogance, poor communication, and inability to handle a reasonable customer concern ensured that I will never return. The attached photos include timestamps documenting our visit and the lengthy wait and a photo of Henry so you can avoid him. DO NOT COME.

Huge bar, giant wall of liquor bottles, dim lighting, and a cool old-school vibe. I told the bartender that ordering a beer in a place like this felt like I was insulting him. He laughed and told me not to worry about it. The drink special was called "Naked and Famous," which honestly sounded like the perfect cocktail to order in honor of Jen. But then I spotted a dark beer on the menu that sounded too good to pass up. If you follow me, you know I'm slowly becoming a dark beer guy. I liked it a lot. The sandwich special was a cheesesteak. Sorry, I should've taken a picture of the menu. But I really enjoyed it, and for $18 it came with a mountain of seasoned fries, which feels like a bargain these days. Bomb Shell: the two people working absolutely crushed it. I don't know if they were understaffed or if Monday night got busier than expected, but they were working their tails off the entire time. The food here is also very solid. The cheese steak and the burger are both delicious though the burger might take the #1 spot. It sounds like it's going to be super rich and heavy but the pickled vegetables on top balance it out perfectly and I cleared my plate. We also got the biscuits to start and the salted honey butter that comes with them is actually dangerous because you will not stop eating it. We debated ordering another round. Honestly - I wanted to love this place, but it didn't hit all the way home for me. What it did hit home for me were the vibes. I loved the interior decor, the small homey vibes , and I could feel the love and passion that went into this place. Small inside, cozy, and I think I only saw a total of 3 staff that ran the place. I really wanted to love them! To be perfectly honest, I'm probably not the best reviewer for this spot. I eat 80% vegan .. and cannot not remember the last time I had beef prior to this meal. However - I didn't find it to be particularly mind blowing. It was cooked to a good temperature , served with salt for you to tailor to your taste and oh I can't forget to mention how much I loved the chefs homemade hot sauce ( which they do sell on site ! ) it was solid , but not something I was personally blown away by for $90 and not something I'd "cheat" on my diet for again to eat. I felt similarly about the striped bass. It was cooked well, but I found it under seasoned. Overall, I don't think it's the spot for me but I DO think it's the spot for many.
