As a former long term customer, I was disappointed that my latest hot tub repair, a simple heating…read moreelement replacement was done incompetently (pressure switch was left improperly tightened allowing water into the control box and it was noticably loose) but Crystalview does not stand behind their work. Complete email exchange below: Sean, I asked for either repair (which looks minimal) or reimbursement. It's very poor backing of your techs based on one month past warranty for improper workmanship. I also noticed they tried to pry the temp control knob off and cracked the rim of the knob which is actually held on by a friction screw, but I didn't raise that as an issue. It is further evidence of their level of competence though. Now that I know how you treat your customers, I will be posting this entire string on Yelp. I can see the residue of rust from your old heating element. Your pressure switch could have been water tight at time of repair and since then developed a leak. In over 22 years I have never heard of the scenario you described. I do stand by my service techs ability. We are also highly costumer focused in our day to day operations. It's why we offer a 6 month warranty of our work. Unfortunately, because we replaced a heating element 7 months ago we can't warranty a leaking pressure switch now. Especially when so many factors including water chemistry can cause the problem. A leaking heating element can also be caused by water chemistry (usually low pH). Unfortunately we don't have history in our system of water tests or chemical purchases so I can't speak tomyiir chemistry The service call was for a heating element and one of the options you wanted from us was to reimburse you for that entire bill including the heating element because of an unrelated part. These photos clearly show the residue from the trace of water that leaked from the pressure switch improperly tightened by your technician and which gradually pooled in the base of the control box. It's apparent that the pooled water caused condensation buildup around the high voltage wires and wiring block immediately above the pooling water, and eventually caused a short circuit. The last photo in the set below shows the melted wiring block and two melted wires at the far left. Since it's an analogue system, the damage and repair is not expensive, but I would hope you would stand behind the work of your staff. Generally if a pressure switch was not tightened properly it would cause issues fairly quickly not 8 months later. I HATE cold water and didn't plan on using the cold plunge other than to throw a leg in there maybe ..(it was for my husband). If you think voluntarily putting your body in a tub of cold water and ice sounds a bit crazy, google "benefits of ice bath " "cold plunge" At this point we are both using the ice bath daily. I know, shocker right?!!! Why? Because the results are incredible! To name a few, it speeds up muscle recovery after a workout, decreases inflammation, improves mood and the list goes on and on. The sauna is also amazing! We ended up getting a 3 person Finnleo infrared (used by 2 of us) and so glad we did this! We would not have been comfortable in the 2 person model. Some of the sauna benefits we have been experiencing are improved circulation, better sleep, recover better from Soreness and stiffness after workouts.. and more! Thanks again to Debbie, she held our hand every step of the way and is always happy to share her knowledge/personal experience.

When it needed a new cover we ordered one from the renamed business. We were told to expect 6-8 weeks wait. It took almost double that because it sat in their warehouse unlabeled. Then the first installer couldn't figure out how to do it so another delay. I tried to finish paying the second installer but he had no invoice and the office would send one. A few days later I got an accusatory call asking why we hadn't paid the bill. After a tense exchange he finally agreed to send an itemized bill. He seemed to think i should pay whatever amount he threw out. They have lost my business permanently.

We bought a very expensive hot tub from Paramount Recreation in January 2022. We have needed to call on two separate occasions for service, same issue with the tub both times. It was a challenge to get a service call the first time but this time was even worse. After 3 weeks of me repeatedly calling and being told we would be seen "the next time" they were up in our area it wasn't until I emailed the manufacture's customer service and cc'd Paramount that I actually got a response. I heard from the manufacturer quickly and had a service visit the next day. Paramount wasn't really sure what the issue was, thought it might be a board and said I needed to get the part directly from the manufacturer (tub is under warranty) or I could pay $950 and they'd get the part from their supplier??? To top things off, I had to give my cc number to initiate the service call, i asked how much would be charged, told $157 but was then charged an extra $100 for travel. Should have been contacted before additional $$ put on my cc. I'd encourage folks to look around for a company with a much better after purchase service record.
