Always on time, friendly, so reliable and capable, and always with a text right after the walk to say how long, where they walked, and what Mabel did. Could not be any more positive.

This past 8 nights, one of her employees Jim stayed overnight in our home with the dogs. He texted me to let me know how things were going regularly and he seemed to genuinely love spending time with the dogs. Our Berner can be stubborn so I typically tell the dog sitters not to walk her, but Jim took both of them on walks daily in order to keep them out of the messy yard. We returned home to 2 calm dogs, without any issues! We joked that the house looks cleaner than when we left - he definitely took care of cleaning up after the messy dogs (which I don't usually expect!) Melissa is great in responding for last minute visits if we are out unexpectedly and now we feel that when it's time for vacation, we can go again without worrying about the dogs!

In keeping with what appears to be an annual tradition, today is May 23, 2025, and I just picked up…read moremy most valued pet, Shyla, from Wiggly Tails and although I missed her terribly, I know she's in great, loving hands at Wiggly Tails! It's a wonderful place for dogs! You can see that everyone who works there loves dogs and really cares about them. I have been taking Shyla here for day care for several years, and I board her there when necessary. I wouldn't trust Shyla to anyone else! The place is HUGE and very clean. There are several different areas of play, both inside and outside, and a few different types of sleeping areas for overnight guests. When you board your dog you get a report card, letting you know everything you'd want to know about your dog's stay! Plus they have webcams all over the place, but I don't use them anymore. I know Shyla is in loving care, safe and happy! Wiggly Tails is where you want your dog to be! (And this is about the 3rd review I've given them in the past four years! The wonderful people who work there have become our family! And it's Shyla's second home!)

We planned to board our dogs again later this year, and since it had been two years since we last boarded them, they asked us to bring our dogs in for a few hours of temperament evaluation. We dropped our dogs off yesterday for that few hours of evaluation, and alas, within 10 minutes of dropping them off the Wiggly Tails owner called and told us to come back and get our dogs. He said that our Jack Russell mix had become aggressive when they tried to remove his leash (his leash is a little tricky to remove, which in retrospect we should have advised them of). What we didn't appreciate was the owner's unwillingness to discuss the issue. Yes, our Jack Russell mix becomes aggressive when a stranger sticks their hands in his face, but he's always been that way and in the past the Wiggly Tails staff always found their way into his confidence, and he's never bitten anyone, but the owner was adamant: come get your dogs. We retrieved our dogs feeling that Wiggly Tails no longer wants or needs our business.

I just had to write a review of Countryside Animal Clinic, because they have given the most…read moreincredible care to all of my pets. My 10 year old French bulldog, Bruno, recently became very ill. We had to make the decision to put him down as he was starting to have seizures and decline quickly. Mary, Countryside's manager, got us in quickly. It was a tough situation as I was flying back in from out of town. Having to do something like this with your beloved pet is so, so difficult. The staff at Countryside, from Naomi at the front desk, from the gentle care from Dr. Mary Hannah and to the love of Bruno from vet tech Chris, made what could have been the worst life experience much more bearable. They treated Bruno with so much love and respect. Dr. Hannah was SO kind in how she spoke to Bruno gently and lovingly. This was so calming and reassuring for me and Bruno. Chris held and hugged Bruno giving him little treats with tears in her eyes. Countryside REALLY loved my dog. I also can't forget to mention Dr. Malitz and all the other amazing stuff there. They literally have no turnover of staff which speaks volumes! I have had a rough couple of months and have sent countless emails and made many phone calls out of concern, and they were always kind, patient and helpful. Thank you Countryside for the incredible love and care you gave to Bruno.

My dog was very sick. Anytime I needed an appointment to get him checked out they would tell me…read morethey couldn't accommodate me and that I should take him to the Emergency Vet because they were days out on an available appointments and that his condition didn't make a difference to them and that they had other appointments to attend to. I took him to the ER which cost me over $1500.00for a supposed ear infection and some antibiotics. Followed up with the Vet when I was able to get an appointment days later and they had no clue what his diagnosis was or how to treat him from the notes from the ER room. Fast forward 2 months later and my dog had the same symptoms that he had when I was told to take him to the ER room and they again told me they could not accommodate an appointment for four days. He declined so badly in 2 days that I had to make an appointment to put him down. I came home the day he was scheduled to be Euthanized and he was dying in front of me on the floor. I called and spoke to Janet and Andrea (I believe that is her name. She is the office manager)and told them that I needed to bring him in ASAP 2 hours before my appointment and they told me they could not accommodate me. I was told they had appointments ahead of me. I asked if the appointments ahead of me had their dogs dying on the floor at their homes and had a scheduled Euthanasia. Andrea told me no, and that it didn't matter. Scheduled appoints take precedence over mine. I ended up having to drive to the ER to have him put down which took me 25 minutes to get to. He suffered for 25 minutes barely breathing when I could have taken him 3 minutes up the street to Countryside and they denied my request. They care nothing about your pet. They are a business to take your money. Stay away from this Vet. The Veterinarians working there have no control over anything because Countryside is a Chain Vet Service. Not privately owned. They are about money. Not caring for sick pets. They also prescribe medicine without seeing your dog and looking at his/hers previous vet records on what medications they are on. They actually prescribed to separate steroids for my dog which would have killed him instantly. I called them and asked them how they didn't know that he was already on a steroid and they said the office manager , Andrea never updated the records. Stay away from this vet clinic.

He knows that we treat our dogs as family members and has always guided us to make the right decisions for their health care needs. When Dr. Jones hasn't been a available, we have seen Dr. Petters who is as sweet as they come! We have not had any issues with the front staff. In fact, I find them to be very personable and kind. Prices are fair and they are very honest!

I needed to bring my dog in for what seemed like an emergency. I sat in the waiting room for 30+ minutes and then watched two other customers get called in before my emergency appointment. If I'm going to pay for an emergency, treat it like an emergency. I called up River Trails Animal Hospital sinceI've passed it a million times. Lisa was awesome on the phone and told me to come right in. Even more nice and welcoming in person. Everyone I encountered in the office was very pleasant and welcoming. Doctor I saw was Nicole and she was awesome. Phenomenal at articulating what was going on to where I could easily understand it. Super friendly and an overall pleasure to be in the same room with. My dog is good. I'm good. And I have an awesome caring staff at River Trails to thank for that. I wish I knew everyone's name to say thank you for their part. I'm sure I'll get to know them over the years as this is now my new vet hospital moving forward. Oh yeah, and the pricing! I'm pretty sure I would've paid more than double had I not walked out of Skycrest. Literally. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The doctors are knowledgeable, but it's very difficult to get in touch with them. I've left…read moremessages but the doctor didn't get back to me for a week. (I know that doctors only have so much time and of course they take days off.) I asked to speak with other doctors, apparently they were all too busy. Just frustrated, my pets are like my kids, if they're not feeling well I want to help them feel better.

I will say he was in a less than ideal shape but not horrid. Hes been on a break since a Petco groomer had traumatized him by holding him for 5 hours when it should have been 2 ... in hindsight I think she had nicked him (on his privates!!!) and was not releasing him to me in time because he was likely still bleeding. Anywho... he got cleaned up here but I was charged $75 and a $3 CC fee (even though I used a debit card)... and my friend from the dog park (who has a twin of my Maltese though he is technically a Coton) told me they had charged her $65. I should have gotten an itemized receipt and not just a copy of the machine charge amount and looked closely at his trim to get the tweaks done there. Oddly they also did not take the residential contact info or dog demographics like breed, age and record the service and cut as most of these groomer businesses do as if they expect repeat business. Also did not ask for more than a phone number and last name when I made the original appointment. Nor asked for proof of vaccination or at least rabies... note: dog park membership pass should be like a TSA pre-check since the Park District makes you jump thru every hoop annually. The level of professionalism and process seems to need work but they are a newly minted SB and conveniently located so will keep an open mind for now.

It's also safe (with a secure gate) so that dogs can't escape. Agnes truly knows how to groom a dog and cares about them like her own. She is also extra careful with them as they get up into their senior years.
