While Doggie Dharma wasn't able to help with walks in my area they actually recommended another walking business that I'm now using! I can only say good things about Doggie Dharma. Virginia and Andrew have helped look after our three Dogs for almost 7 years now (and at the same time they've taken care of our Cats and a couple of fish!). We trust them and their team implicitly - they've done walking, feeding, administered medicines and first aid and even stayed over to take the uppermost care while we're away on business or vacation. I really can't say enough - our dogs love them (one is kind of nervous and loves her routines so we'd know if something was amiss). We have also had to make a bunch of last minute changes to our scheduled and there's never a cross word or complaint from them. I have been using the staff at Doggie Dharma for years. I need to travel several times a year, and Doggie Dharma makes that worry free; my cats are happy and healthy. I've never needed anyone else to take care of my cats. They have easy reservation and payment systems, and are very responsive to email messages. In 2012 we met Virginia. That was a good day. Our household is not easy. We have multiple dogs and they all have their issues. One of my dogs, my Lily, is literally afraid of everyone. She had a terrible start to her life and she remembers. Lily does well with Virginia and Jeanette. All of my dogs love to see them. And the biggest testimony to how they handle being left with D.D. is that they are happy and not stressed-out when I come home. They leave great notes, full of detail. I love reading those when I return home. The very best is when I receive pictures of them while I am away. I am very picky about my dog sitters because my dogs are my kids, but I never worry when D.D. is watching my canine family members. There are so many dog walking services out there but trust me you will never ever find a service like this one. Virginia is like a dog whisperer with the reliability of business owner. My dog has some challenges on walks but never with her. Our dog is very skittish of new people but licked her face the minute they met. She doesn't just say she loves animals she lives that life. Rescuing dogs and cats and helping them and finding homes. Often she will answer the phone at night and she will be at someone's home where she is just suppose to make a visit while they are out of town but stays for so much longer cause she wants them to have more attentions. You can completely count on her to be there everyday on time. She has never been late or called to say she can't make it. We have been using Doggie Dharma for a few years now. We have had them come for just a night away or for an extended vacation of several weeks. I know that our dog is being taken care of, loved and given lots of attention when we aren't there. They have also gone above and beyond when things have happened at our house. They are great communicators and I feel like I know exactly what has gone on while I was away. Our dog requires medicine several times a day and they are very good about making sure she takes it. Our other dog became very sick while we were away. We got phone calls every step of the way when it was decided to take her to the vet. They visited her there, brought her home and took her to the vet's office for follow up care. I cant't say enough good things about them! read more

It's so nice to be able to leave a special needs dog ( blind) and know that while we are gone she will be taken care of perfectly. I really appreciate their detailed , organized , quick responsive office staff when I'm trying to schedule or change a visit. Their dog walkers truly care about our dog and show it by playing and cuddling with her not just the rudimentary walks. Tracy, the owner, is a phenomenal dog /human trainer. She really understands how dogs think, which is so important as it is quite different than how we humans think. Learning the difference is key in effectively interacting with and training your dog! Tracy understands the triggers that cause "bad" behavior, a dog's telling body language, pack mentality and roles, and aggression and fear behaviors. After just one evaluation and training session with her, I feel so excited and am HOPEFUL that I will be able to integrate an older rescue Collie into my pack/home if I practice and am consistent with new ways of responding to her behaviors. I can now see how my style and lack of proper boundaries has not been helpful. Tracy is so very knowledgeable...a dog whisperer to be sure!! read more
