I brought my car to Dave, the owner of north shore autobody of Danvers. When I brought my estimate from my insurance, he stated to me that He will call my insurance company and have them double my estimate so he can pocket the extra money. He then charged me an extra 150 dollars on top of the extra money he got from my insurance company, because he lied about how much the insurance company pays for labor. He also said he charges extra 150 dollars because of the superior work that his business does as opposed to other auto body shops. On top of all this, I had to bring my car back to the shop because they did not properly finish the job and reconnect rear lights which is a safety issue his excuse was my technician said that the car was all set. That is terrible and shorty work on his part to let that car leave his shop with the break lights not working! I would never take another car there because of the poor quality of work and the greed of the owner Dave, who cares about making money and screwing people over rather than just being honest and doing quality work for the money that they are allotted through the insurance company.In closing, he stated to me that I just have to submit paperwork to my insurance company to retrieve my 150 dollars back. The insurance company laughed at me and said he straight lied to you, and NO OTHER AUTO BODY SHOP ON THE BORTH SHORE CHARGES ANY ADDITIONAL FEE. read more

Was sitting in my car when I was verbally accosted by an employee who wreaked of booze. One man, who I was talking to was wiping down a car for about 4-5 minutes into our conversation, a probably more than not still drunk employee verbally accosted me to which I said "yep, okay, bye" and then was viciously attacked. Still, sitting in my car, said employee then walked over to me and started accosting me and my car. OWNER DID NOTHING. AVOID THISPLACE AT all costs. My car got covered in cement dust from construction across the street from the house. Totally covered, in every crack and crevice the car has. I went to a local "no touch car wash" and they said nope, don't bring it in here it'll get scratched by all the cement stuff on the car. It needs to be hand detailed. So, since it's a lease, I called the dealer and they said to bring it up to North Shore Auto Body. I called and spoke with Dave (super nice fellow to speak with) about what happened. He said drop it off, he would take a look and see what they could do. (This was before talking to a person "in the know" at my insurance company, and after they told me sorry, all out of pocket.) So, it looked really bad to me, I was so upset thinking out of pocket is gonna kill me, but I dropped it off. Dave came out, cleaned a test patch, said it looked like it should come off easily, and leave it overnight, they would wash it up and see what it looked like. I came back tonight to pick up a shiny car, and Dave told me it cleaned up easily, it wasn't as bad as I thought it was, and handed me my key and said Merry Christmas. Didn't charge me a dime!!! Who does that nowadays??? Not many people that I run across!!! I was happy I had a non-damaged and clean car, and a new place to take my cars if they need work!!! There is no other body shop I would ever take my car to again. North Shore Auto Body is the best! Dave, the owner/ manager is extremely professional, honest and has the best crew of guys working for him. I took my car in after a crash and previous damage where my car was hit while parked, two separate claims. It was a mess. I just picked it up and she looks better than when I first bought her. Not only did he save me money but he also went above and beyond taking care of a complex claim and all of its issues, while only keeping me posted along the way without having me get involved in taking care of dealing with the insurance companies. I knew that he always went above and beyond for his customers but this was the first time I experienced it for myself. When your faced with dealing with and Auto Body Repair Shop you often think of the experience as somewhat like dealing with a bill collector or the IRS right. Well not in my case these past few weeks. Our car had been rear ended and North Shore Auto Body in Danvers, Ma was recommend by a friend. What I can tell you is that from day one David (the owner) set my mind at ease and reassured me that he was their to not only work with me but the Insurance Companies involved as well as the rental car office. In most cases you drop you car off and who-ever tells you how much and when to pick it up. How refreshing to be called with an update more than once during this time frame. I can't say enough about the positive way I was treated at NSAB and by David . The only negative I have is the fact that they don't due general car repairs their for I would have them take care of my car for everything. So can you TRUST them to do right by you, YOU BET. I brought my 2012 Chevy Malibu to North Shore Auto Body after it was in an accident and had extensive front end damage. The work took two weeks longer to complete than promised. When I finally got my car back, none of the parts used to repair the front end fit properly (see photos). Dave told me that he fully warrantied all of his work, but when I brought the car back to address this issue, I was told that it was due to the fact that after market parts were used and there was nothing he could do about it. I unhappily accepted this answer, but a few months later I noticed that the parts were so ill-fitting that they were starting to shift and were lining up even worse than they did originally. I went down to speak to Dave about this in person. He was not there so I left a note for him, and was assured that I would hear from him the next day. That was over a week ago, and I have yet to hear from him. read more

If your vehicle has been in an accident, no matter how bad, this is the place to go. My 06 Honda Ridgeline had the front end almost completely torn off. Three weeks later it was returned to me and, if I had not seen the damage with my own eyes, I never would have believed it had been in an accident. My 9 year old pickup looked like it did when I first picked it up and drove just as well. Dave, the owner, was a delight to work with. He kept me up-to-speed on the repairs and dealt with my insurance co. directly. I was skeptical that my truck could be returned to its original condition but I was completely wrong.
