(For context, I'm an automobile attorney, so I know exactly what to look for.) Shockingly, they flat-out refused to provide it. That's a massive red flag. Any legitimate shop operating in Massachusetts should have no problem showing proof they're properly registered. The refusal alone tells you everything you need to know. Proceed with extreme caution.

The door sustained minor damage - basically crushed/buckled. It was barely noticeable but I knew it was there and wanted it repaired so I took it to a collision center where I had been going for years. To my surprise, they told me the door needed to be replaced. Obviously, this was an expensive repair and I planned to pay out of pocket so I had to think about it. On a whim, I stopped by Hynes Collision which had recently opened, and met Donna who was very accommodating and did an on-the-spot inspection. She assured me that the door could be repaired not replaced. She called me the next morning with an estimate and my car was in the shop the following week and repaired and looking perfect in a very timely fashion.
