I was blubbering all over the place and Chris from Murray's towing was SO nice. My cousin took me to Murray's Towing today to get the rest of my stuff out of my smashed up car. Chris met us there, even though he didn't have to as it was a weekend. I got everything out of my car and signed over my title to cover the cost of storage associated with the crash. Chris was beyond nice and totally changed the stereotype of tow truck companies sucking. I HIGHLY recommend Murray's. Bad news first. Twice i was given times Murray's would arrive at Banfield's in Woburn. My cat was locked inside my car. Pretty annoying! On the third call, I was not happy and was going to tell him I wanted a 50% discount for waiting so long. He told me he was planning not to charge me at all. Smart business move. I left my car at a friend's for a week and the manager got it towed, it was a misunderstanding with the manager and I got my car back, however, the experience with this towing company was awful! Very uncommunicative and unprofessional The man who towed my car demanded I give him $100 cash to drop my car, refused to take credit card or wait 10 minutes for me to go to the ATM claiming he didn't have the time and he just drove away while I was trying to talk to him, yelling at me that it wasn't his problem. When I called the company he told me because I was "fighting the man" (trying to understand what was going on) I would now have to pay $150 and he refused to give me his name. The manager of the company called and they were supposed to bring my car back. I waited outside for 15 minutes and then called to know where my car was, they told me it "would take a while" and did not give me a time estimate. I said I needed my car and he said I could pick up, and I told him I was on my way, but then he said I had to wait until someone was at the shop. He was incredibly rude and would not tell me what was going on with my car because he was too busy, at one point he did not pick up the phone when I tried to call again. When I got there everyone continued to be rude to me, I tried to explain my situation and the misunderstanding about the towing but they cut me off and were very rude. Our car was stalled out in a deep puddle and in a difficult spot next to a curb. Our driver, Chris, was very careful inspecting the front and underside of the car to make sure it didn't get damaged. Austin was super friendly and professional on a trying day when my car wouldn't start out of the blue. I missed 2 important Dr appointments so I wasn't in the best of moods. He showed up with a smile and welcoming friendly attitude. He checked my battery, but we realized that wasn't the problem. He didn't have to do that. What's more, he couldn't get the tow truck to my car, since Woburn paving decided to close down my street and pave right in front of my house! So he came walking up. He spoke to the policeman who told them he had to come back in about an hour when they would be done. So, he left, did a couple more of his runs, and did come back to my house to tow my car. Called them because I had a flat tire. Guy who answered the phone sounded like a pothead. He told me it would be 45 minutes and be $125. Over an hour later, nobody showed up. I called to cancel, and the guy was like "sorry, man, we were really busy." His apology seemed genuine. I noticed in your response that you said I wasn't told it was your mistake, I think you guys need better communication. If I had picked it up the night before the man told me I could've just drove it off the lot. I don't know what changed from that night to the next morning. It went from your mistake to any reason at all just to charge me. Then, you tried to say you were charging me because my car had a bad registration. It was like any reason to charge me. After you basically stole my car out of my parking spot. There should've been no charge right when you saw the sticker. If you look through the window you could see it. My windows have a tint on them there's nothing I can do. May I suggest you start carrying flashlights? There's no reason the office should reimburse me for your mistake! read more

Overall bad experience. I would never use them again or recommend to anyone. If you ask a question you either wont get an answer or you will get yelled at for asking a question. I am disgusted by the dreadful customer service I received from this tow company. At 9:45 am, They were called by a highway officer to tow my vehicle from the scene of an accident due to it being immobilized. At noon I arrived at their lot to retrieve my vehicle, it was empty so I call their office number. Someone answers the phone extremely discourteous and I am told they are not open on Saturday but will be at the office within the hour to release it to me. An hour passes and I call back at which time I am told he is now on the highway and will get to the office when he can and he hangs up. More time passes, it's about 3 pm now, I call back and finally he says he is at the lot, so I immediately call to AAA to have them meet me to retrieve my vehicle and tow it to my mechanic. I get a ride over to the lot, only to find it empty. I call AGAIN and when he answered the tone of his demeanor has gone from unpleasantly harsh to vulgar, disrespectful and condescending. He was screaming and cussing at me, told me he was coming when he felt like it and he hung up the phone. I called back, he pick up and hung up. I called again, and the same thing. Now AAA has arrived and I still am not in possession of my vehicle. At this point my frustration level is off the richter and so I have my elder sister call before the situation could further escalate. After another screaming match he ultimately agrees to be there in ten minutes, which actually turns out to be twenty. When he and his associates do arrive, they were completely ignoring my tow driver as well as myself who are standing at the edge of the lot waiting to be serviced. The tow driver, who is professionally dressed and identified in uniform tries to approach them and they yell at him to get the fuck off the property. Again, not wanting to allow my frustrations to overtake me I ask my sister to talk with them. All 3 men walk towards her, initially just talking, but at about 1 minute into the conversation got very loud, hostile, these men were waving and slapping their hands in her face while yelling. I immediately became fearful for the safety of my sisters, myself and my 6 year old nephew who was also there so I started video recording and instantly attitudes and behaviors changed. Voices were lowered, as well as hands, reason and logic began to kick in so he says"let's just talk turn the camera off". After much back and forth with their constant denial, they would not accept or acknowledge any wrongdoing let alone apologize for their disgraceful, disgusting and borderline racist behavior like saying"I am Italian that's what we do" does not make it acceptable for you to wave and slap your hands in the face of a customer especially with her child right there with her. The lack of respect for me and my time, lack of professionalism and ethics was unlike anything else I've ever experienced just absolutely awful . I wanted to get my vehicle which I eventually did but not before, my family and I suffered verbal, emotional and nearly physical abuse at the hands of a company who claim to "pride ourselves in delivering a professional & positive experience to all our customers regardless of the situation." read more

Called them, trying to get a quote for service. The person was very impatient. Was looking for a price for towing a van, but I am not familiar with the car type, not sure the difference between box van and other kind, so I asked if they can provide quote for all or just the box so I have an idea of how much I'd be spending. The person on the phone told me no, he said he cannot provide it to me, unless he is certain on what he is towing, and hang up the phone. I have an older car, and unfortunately, it has left me stranded requiring a tow on a couple of occasions over the years. I broke down on the side of the road today and gave Murray's a call. Austin, the tow operator, arrived in less than 15 minutes from the time I called, which was great. He carefully and quickly moved my car up onto the truck and we were off on the way to the shop in less that 10 minutes. He was extremely professional, a great safe driver, and it was honestly the best tow experience I've had thus far. Greg from this company is amazing! Today my 8 year old locked me out of my car while it was running at the front of the student drop off line at his elementary school. Not only did Greg save the day and get me back into my vehicle but he turned what was an extremely frustrating situation into something much less stressful. He arrived within 10 minutes and it took him about 60 seconds to get me back into my vehicle. I've never had such a pleasant experience with a towing company as I did today. I have to give credit where credit is due. Not enough people comment/give positive feedback when they are pleased by a service. I have had my current car for less than 2 months. I need to have it towed up to Tulley Automotive up in Nashua, NH which is not around the corner from my apartment. Unfortunately when the tow truck arrived at my apartment to pick up my car, I missed is calls informing me he had arrived. Well, he took the car (as he needed to do) to bring it up to Tulley. I woke up 10 minutes after the most recent phone call and immediately called him back. At this point I realized I would have to now drive the keys up to Tulley since I hadn't given him the keys to bring up (my bad....). However! He informed me that he had only gotten as far as Billerica and told me that if I wanted and if it would help save me the time from having to drive up to Nashua, that he would stop in Billerica and allow me to meet up with him to give him the keys so that I wouldn't have to go all that way. I can not tell you how much I appreciated this gesture. Sure enough I left my apartment immediately, met up with him in Billerica and handed him he keys to the car. He was very pleasant and assured me that it was not a problem. With that said though, I know that he didn't have to do this for me and that he went out of his way to do me this favor. I would absolutely use Murrays in the future if I needed a vehicle towed and would not hesitate to recommend them to others. Thank you very much for your help. Reasonable cost, and a pleasure to deal with both on the phone and in person. I can't understand some of these other reviews; personally I think unhappy people like to spread their own personal brand of *joy* haha. I couldn't agree more with Tom A. Scum of the earth! RUN, don't walk away from this place. I ONLY used them b/c they towed my a$$ off of I-95 after blowing a serpentine belt. They sent a flat-bed (more moolah) instead of a hitch. They hit me for $90 for the flat-bed for a 6 mile drive. I was a "captive audience" with them so I let them do the work. He quoted me (with tow) at $520 for the belt!!! What??? "WHAAAATTT??? My guy (20 miles away) could have done it for $200. I talked him down an hour of work time ($95/hour) so the final cost was $435 for a stinking belt. And it took them 3 days to do it! Again, I was a captive audience so I had them do it. So I go and pick up the car first thing in the morning and I get the "attitude" from them like I am bothering these 2 "mechanics" from drinking their coffee and smoking (read: not working). For what I paid they should've given me a smile and a handshake and a coupon for a free meal at the roast beef place next door (which I highly recommend BTW - forget the name). UGH! read more
