My experience was very different. I was stranded with my kids on a hot day during rush hour traffic, had called AAA and was going to be waiting forever. I looked up this nearby tow company who arrived within 10 minutes of my call. They got the car moved to their shop, and the tow operator was professional and courteous. The very next day I talked with the shop mechanics and owner, who told me what parts were needed to get it repaired and what the job would cost. I could have chosen to have the car towed to any service facility, but from the get go, I felt confident with how they would handle the situation, and they were very upfront about the costs associated with the tow. The owner made numerous calls trying to get parts as quick as possible, and was able to have them later that same day. At that time, as he was calling for parts, I did call 3 other garages to ask how long it would take for them to the job. They said to get the parts and have it done would be at least a week. I had my car back the next morning, less than 48 hrs from the time of tow. The guys were all hard at work both times I was there and I found everyone really friendly and professional. One thing people might not understand, is that parts aren't readily available like they were before our economy tanked. (I've had lot of friends in the industry over the years, and thats where it's at.) I definitely recommend Murray's for repairs and towing! read more

I'm really starting to think I need to suck it up and buy a new car.... But however I was sitting in traffic Friday night and my car began to over heat. I tried pulling over to let it cool down and got rear ended. I didn't think so but the state police trooper told me the damage was too much to drive out of there cuz the exhaust was pushed in. The other car was leaking fluid. So they got the hook as well. I don't even think we waited for five minutes before the towing company arrived. Both drivers were extremely friendly and figured out who's who and where everyone was going right away. They had everything cleaned up and good to go within minutes. When we were in the truck the driver was just as friendly as out on the highway. He asked me what my plan was with the car. (I've actually used these guys before) so I asked if they could fix the exhaust and fix whatever was making it overheat in the first place. They had it back at their yard and in the shop within the hour and by the next day I was picking up my car dented but running good! The price was extremely fair and the lady in the office was more then nice. I'm definitely bringing my car back to these guys for any repairs I have. I couldn't agree more with Tom A. Scum of the earth! RUN, don't walk away from this place. I ONLY used them b/c they towed my a$$ off of I-95 after blowing a serpentine belt. They sent a flat-bed (more moolah) instead of a hitch. They hit me for $90 for the flat-bed for a 6 mile drive. I was a "captive audience" with them so I let them do the work. He quoted me (with tow) at $520 for the belt!!! What??? "WHAAAATTT??? My guy (20 miles away) could have done it for $200. I talked him down an hour of work time ($95/hour) so the final cost was $435 for a stinking belt. And it took them 3 days to do it! Again, I was a captive audience so I had them do it. So I go and pick up the car first thing in the morning and I get the "attitude" from them like I am bothering these 2 "mechanics" from drinking their coffee and smoking (read: not working). For what I paid they should've given me a smile and a handshake and a coupon for a free meal at the roast beef place next door (which I highly recommend BTW - forget the name). UGH! read more

Greg from this company is amazing! Today my 8 year old locked me out of my car while it was running at the front of the student drop off line at his elementary school. Not only did Greg save the day and get me back into my vehicle but he turned what was an extremely frustrating situation into something much less stressful. He arrived within 10 minutes and it took him about 60 seconds to get me back into my vehicle. I've never had such a pleasant experience with a towing company as I did today. I highly recommend Murray's Towing for any service from a fast tow, repairs, & reasonable prices. I was driving with both my children under the age of 5 when a piece of Debris caught my tire and blew it. I pulled over and the local police called Murray's for a tow. The driver showed up within minutes and was very nice. He let me know the shop could have a new tire put on immediately if I wanted to tow it back to the shop and wait. i parked my car in the wrong spot behind tanner s tavern, i got to my cars before the tow truck got to it, as i was cleaning the snow off of my car, the tow truck driver said i had to pay him 90 dollars,, i told the driver no way because he didnt hook to my car, so he blocked my car and wouldnt let me leave till i paid him 90 bucks, too bad i lost the receipt i was going to file a complain with dot in boston, the y are scumbags, scam artist, i was upset more about the principle of it then for the money read more

My son slid of the side of the road and was in a panic and I called all tow companies around and no one was willing to assist my 19 year old except Murray Towing they came within 15 of my call and pulled his car out of ditch and drove him home and towed his vehicle home and what amazes me they called to check on him the very next day because he was so shock up!! I disagree with Dave S.and Tom A.. Murray's Towing had great service. I was at the Burlington mall, and was having a terrible day, and my starter went. So I called Murray's Towing and Equipment Service. These guys picked me up and they got me situated. They were completely honest about prices, very nice guys, and respectful. For a great job you have got to pay more. My bill was not as expensive as i thought. By the next day my car was fixed properly and they did a magnificent job. read more
