I hit a piece of metal on 95 south and ended up with a flat tire. I called AAA and Sammy from Skillman came to assist me, after helping to tow another woman's van who hit the same piece of metal. He was incredibly friendly and well mannered and the tire change was done in no time. He also made sure I was familiar with the capabilities of a spare tire and that I replace the tire as soon as I can. Great service and friendly faces are a great bonus when your truck runs into trouble. Thankfully if you are in the Ipswich area skillman services may save you with a fast tow especially if you have AAA . This place is great and to top it off the rates are reasonable. Came out of work this week to find my battery completely dead. I looked on Yelp to see if there were any auto parts stores nearby and saw that Skillman was just walking distance away. They looked ready to close, but were super friendly and helpful regardless, and sent a tech (Ted) with me over to my car, and he had the new battery installed and I was on my way a few minutes later. If you don't mind being quoted a price for a repair then being charged double - without even being alerted to added costs in advance- then go ahead and take your business to these guys. Or- if you don't mind having a brake job done only to find out later that they repair guy neglected to top off the brake fluid then go ahead and hire these guys. Twice wronged is enough for me. We had a flat tire at the main parking lot at Crane beach. Normally this wouldn't be a problem, as my husband and I both know how to change a tire. However, our car dealership screwed us by not including the lug wrench that was supposed to be in the spare wheel well. Although they advertise roadside services, and we were willing to pay whatever exorbitant amount of money they asked (hey, we should have checked ourselves the lug wrench was in there, so we weren't too proud to pay a penalty in costly service) these guys could not be moved to even stop by with a spare tire iron. We also had a hot, tired, hungry four year old with us, so that was great. We finally presumed upon the graciousness of strangers and borrowed one from a lovely elderly couple in the parking lot. This place is an example of the absolutely apathetic nature of so many businesses these days. Skillman's doesn't actually have roadside service, so call somewhere else. read more

Skillman Services is fantastic. They're honest about service you need and service you don't need, which I really appreciate. They are also great with technology, so you get emails with the report of what they were able to do to your vehicle and what might need to be done soon. They don't abuse your email address with constant emails, it seems like they only use it when you're getting work done.
