Found this little gem after my friends and I did our Saturday walk near the colleges. It was such a cute spot and I was drawn in by the succulents. As I bought 3 succulents and was heading out to leave, I saw something else I just had to have and a pot to go along with it. They were super kind and potted my new plant in its pot, gave me some fancy rocks, answered all my questions and really made me feel like a valued customer. My friends have decided that they are coming back and I will too. Awesome spot! read more

What a great place! We found a cool lion head sculpture amongst all the great plants, and had to get it. The staff member who sold it to us was a super nice guy too. Nice selection of desert plants, plant holders, and small metal sculptures for the yard. Parking can be found along the side streets. read more

Norens Nursery is a great little cacti, succulent and air plant nursery! This is a boutique nursery where the plants are extremely pampered and therefore are happy campers (yes, plants do talk to me). You can see from the pics these are superior plants to those sold in the box stores. They offer an interesting variety of plants (see my pic) and yard art. I'd recommend keeping this in mind when you are window shopping in the Village. read more

This is one of my favorite places to visit in the Claremont Village. You don't even have to a plant Enthusiast, like myself to enjoy spending time here. The Aesthetic is well designed and they have beautiful plants and decor to enjoy. The owners are always friendly. Definitely enjoy stopping by. Can't wait to go back. read more

I came here after looking for a nursery that had a larger selection of cactus, I did find one of my wish list cactus plants here (Astrophytum cohauilense). They did have some rare plants like the string of hearts and mimosa pudica (shy fern plant). The staff was nice, they didn't hover but helped me with my questions. read more

Was at this cool little plant nursery with my daughter yesterday getting items for a baby shower. We ended up buying two little succulent plants and pots to go with them. Seemed to be 2 different places in one to purchase separate items. A nice older gentleman repotted our little plants before we left and topped them off with decorative small rocks. Fun little place to walk through!!! read more

I've been in search of plants for my home and was directed here by a coworker. This is a (mostly) open-air nursery with a good variety of plants. It's also situated in a nice area of town with other walking friendly shops. Many of the plants can be indoor plants and they also have a good number of succulents. They also have a good number of pots and planting accessories. They do have some larger plants and cacti, but this is not the place to come for fruits and larger trees. The price point is moderate, and employees are generally helpful. Check this place out, and have brunch or a coffee down the street. read more

I bought a metal piece wall hanging decor. Two. $37 each. "Used" I put them in my car and hanging on the wall. Later to find drops of black paint all over the side walk I walked on and my bricks below the wall hanging piece. I called them back three times same day to get a hold of a live rep and no answer. The next week I showed the guy that rang me up the pictures of the damage done on my home from them not warning me the items had been freshly painted and not dry. I explained to him how much scrubbing I've done to try to fix the problem from their not ready product. His response you'll probably have to power wash it. If you buy from the inspect the item purchasing to prevent yourself a headache. They won't do it for you before selling it to you. read more

Day: Saturday Time: 1:30pm Parking: There are street parking but it can fill up quick since it's a boutique with surrounding shopping and restaurants. We parked in a lot and short walk down the alley (look for parking sign on the right hand side). It's an adorable nursery with succulent, cactus, some house plants, pots, and ornaments for your fairy garden. I'm guessing there are different vendors under one roof because I had to pay for my items with different people. I was able to find a Medusa's Head, something I don't already have in my collection. The plants are a bit pricier than other nurseries I've been to but the plants all look healthy. read more

If I could give 10 stars to Norens Nursery, I would do it. Not only do they have a wonderful selection of succulents, house plants, pots, and other decor at reasonable prices, but they have HEART and WARMTH. It's rare to find that nowadays. Kim has helped me pick out plants to gift as well for my house. Neil helped me with a monstera I already had. It needed some TLC. Both Kim and Neil have a wealth of knowledge on plants. This is pretty much the only nursery I go to for indoor plants. They have a wide variety to choose from and there's always something different with every visit. The shop itself is very charming and worth the walk if you're in the area to grab a bite. The staff is very kind and helpful. I'm such a newbie with plants and it's never intimidating to ask for some advice or help on the subject. Big thumbs up for the free ice cold water during these hot days!! We came in search of some new plants to spruce up our indoor space and fell in love with the whole space. It is shared with Petals n Wings, but it seemed like Norens Nursery had more of the larger plants and items while Petals n Wings focuses on the miniature ones. Not a single square inch was spared. Because we came close to the holiday season, there were succulent wreaths and Christmas-themed planters too. It took us a while to comb through it all, but once we spotted the air plants masquerading as ornaments on the Christmas tree, we were sold. We loved the tiny little flowers on the air plant varieties we picked out and couldn't wait to take them home. Whether or not you're in the market for plants, a visit to Norens Nursery and the opportunity to revel in this green space is sure to brighten your day. read more

Such a cute little Nursey, filled with succulents and such. I feel like if they added misters and light, it would help with the vibe here, along with some signs with the types of succulents. They also offer a wide variety of different plant related options and will help you pick the best plant for you! I went in to get a gift and the women working there were so kind and helpful. Had high hopes for this place, but quite the opposite when I arrived. Upon arriving did not receive any acknowledgement. Pass by the cashier and someone else making something in the little garden area and not one hello. There wasn't any sections to choose from either. However there were a few miniature trees and some exotic plants, not many. I'm huge on customer service, so don't think I'd make the effort back here again. read more

Very friendly people. They always have something different for the plant aficionados. everything is so healthy and lively.

This is the most underrated nurseries I have been to in the area. I've been trying out a bunch comparing prices and whatnot & this place by far is amazing. The woman who works here is sooo nice, friendly, & helpful. They have a wonderful selection, I grabbed a string of pearls for a great price & when I asked about a specific plant as well she informed me it would be coming in tomorrow so I asked if she'd be willing to put it aside for me to pick up the next day & without hesitation she said of course. This place is beautiful, I'm definitely and fan & will be coming back often. Thank you!! read more

This is one of my favorite stops in the Claremont Village! I'm an avid plant lover and they have a great variety of plants, specifically cacti and succulents. During my visit today, I loved that they had a specific section for a their selection of cacti, ranging from mini to medium sized and even larger - so many to choose from! Definitely looking to revisit and hopefully purchasing a plant soon - I had just purchased a new one 2 days ago and had to skip out this time. read more

Such a cute nursery that my boyfriend and I happened to pass by while in search of food in Claremont. I walked in and was honestly overwhelmed. I wanted to take home all of the plants! The prices are very reasonable, and it felt good supporting a small business rather than going to Home Depot or Lowe's. We walked around for awhile while I debated on my decision. Everyone there was very nice, they would acknowledge us, but wouldn't hover. They just let us enjoy the ambiance. My two selections were a golden pathos and a heart leaf philodendron. We weren't sure where we were going to eat for lunch so I asked if I could pay for the plants and leave them there while we ate. The woman that helped me happily obliged, placed my plants in a brown bag and wrote my name and phone number down (incase of forgot. But I was so excited I would never forgot my new plant babies!) After lunch we walked back to receive my plants, I made eye contact with the woman that helped me and she remember my face right away. Felt like she really paid attention to detail and I was very appreciative. I already want to go back and find more plants to bring home. Highly recommend. read more

Such a lovely little nursery. Tons of cute and unique ceramic pieces to pot in or attach air plants to. And did I say air plants?! Norens has plenty and at decent, easy on the wallet prices. Healthier and better quality plants than Home Depot or Lowes and at nearly half the price. Also, to top it off, staff is super friendly and easy to talk to if you have questions. Best place for the most unique and creative succulent displays in Claremont. I love succulents for their low maintenance but love a colorful flower garden as an east coast girl. My favorite home to walk by on 12th and yale in Claremont, where I discovered the beauty of displaying succulents that pop with color. I then discovered this nursery located across from Bardots on Bonita that shares the space with the vintage store. I was pleased to see the unique combinations of colorful pots, succulents mixed with others like a beautiful bouquet of flowers. I was hooked. The prices were comparable to others but to have " a garden artist" I guess you would say like Neil made the visit fun. Weeks later, I walk by my favorite home and I see the gardener tending to the plants. He looked up and it was Neil! Fun place to browse, to get inspired for your own succulent garden. read more
