My first impression was that I was walking in one of the Magical Hallmark movies and I found this shop. I explored every inch in the shop since I am fond of unique kitchen supplies, gadgets and utensils. I found them all in this shop.. They have lovely and stunning ornaments too. The shop was very organized.The staff were so sweet, welcoming and friendly. I wish I could spend longer time there. The Hen's Kitchen Shoppe is a hidden gem in Clairmont .I will be back very soon.

After breakfast, I walked on over & it is exactly what I pictured it AND MORE! Cute, darling kitchen items, gadgets (some I would not even know what to do with) and cooking paraphernalia abound! I couldn't stop staring & just wonder in complete awe. Wow! I barely had time to process & check everything out do the photos posted are just cursory pictures, for now. Must stop by another day when Hubby is not in a hurry or take one of my girlfriends to explore this shop & all of what Claremont has to offer. However I've noticed since I have had a baby and bring in a stroller, the employees follow me throughout the entire store. Last night was the third time this had happened and this was a bit out of control. I was in the back area and the mall associate literally stood next to my stroller the entire time. He literally could've just pushed it. I was on one end and he was at the handles. Just standing there. The entire time. He was pretending to take photos but it was obvious he was just following me. Everytime I moved or stopped. He moved and he stopped. This store must have a lot of theft which is sad. But as someone who used to make multiple purchases in this store - I will no longer be frequenting. I don't know what type of profiling this is. Strangely my other friend with a stroller wasn't being followed. Whether it's because I have a stroller and they think I'm going to dump things in there or what, I'm an adult. With money and a baby. I don't need to steal. But I guess I'm not buying either.

Found this little gem after my friends and I did our Saturday walk near the colleges…read more It was such a cute spot and I was drawn in by the succulents. As I bought 3 succulents and was heading out to leave, I saw something else I just had to have and a pot to go along with it. They were super kind and potted my new plant in its pot, gave me some fancy rocks, answered all my questions and really made me feel like a valued customer. My friends have decided that they are coming back and I will too. Awesome spot!

There are a couple of parking spots with the auto shops towards the end. I usually come on the discount days (Tuesday and Thursday's) for educators. I like to browse their cups to find vintage, floral pieces that my mom used to have. In addition to cups and plates, there are endless amounts of clothing articles, toys, books, jewelry, and miscellaneous pet items. Each section is separated towards a designated section, making it easy to browse. The ladies who work here are gentle and kind, always willing to assist you, if needed. Everything is decently priced and there are constantly great deals. I've come on a special sticker priced day, making my items (with the correct colored sticker) 50% off!
