We had Jonescape landscape our front yard last year. We participated in the Golden State Water "Water Wise" program. After reading through the application requirements I met with Jon (the owner) and discussed the required features. Jon was fully aware of the program and helped to work within the parameters when creating the plan. It took a few months for him to fit me into the schedule but was here on the promised day. They completed the job successfully and quickly, making changes along the way as I changed my mind on a few things. It is now a year later and I am still very happy with the project. As a few plants have died, they have replaced them without question. I will add, we have used Jonescape for 30 years on a variety of projects with the same positive results each time. They have done quite a bit of rock work at our home, including rock facade on our house, rock planters and retaining wall, backyard landscaping and total landscape lighting front and back. Jonescape was a pleasure to work with. Jon and crew were very professional and did an excellent job on our front yard project. My wife and I gave him our ideas of what we wanted. He drew up a sketch for us with a detailed design based on our ideas. Jon is very knowledgeable on what type of plants would do well in our area based on sun and shade areas of the yard. His crew showed up early and cleaned up every day and were very respectful and looked like they enjoyed what they were doing. In addition to landscaping they built us a nice rock wall on the side of our driveway that turned out excellent. I look forward to using Jonescape again in the future. read more

So in our area there were a lot trees that fell about 6 months ago due to a huge windstorm. This resulted in a lot of work for landscaping and construction companies. So to even just get an estimate for fence repair it took us 2 months. We got a meeting with Jonescape and their estimator was nice and helpful. Then it took another month to get the estimate completed and corrected. They told us they had big jobs to finish and they will be able to start in October. We need a fence, two double gates, neighbor gate and brickwork. We think it's s big job but for them it's not. So now we wait..... until October. read more

I called Jonescape just before Christmas to get a quote on Paver Driveway. We st an appointment for January 4 at 9am. I texted Jonescape on January 3rd to confirm my 9am appointment. They texted back, see you at 9am. On January 4th, 9am came and went. No text or call about being late. Then at 9:45am they 5exted me told me he could meet me at 10:00am. I had an appointment at 10 and couldn't meet. He asked if I wanted to reschedule? I thought about it. The later in the day I texted them asked to reschedule. No response. I texted again in the afternoon. No response. They Ghosted me All I wanted was a bid on a job They couldn't make the time to do that. read more

Jonescape came to my house for a bid less than two years ago and offered what I thought was a fair price. When I called them back recently, the bid was redone and nearly doubled in price. When I questioned the steep increase, as it turned out the new bid was done with inaccurate measurements (just walking the patio) and other vague explanations that didn't make sense. I was looking to switch to drought-tolerant landscaping and contacted several companies to estimate. We spoke to several wonderful landscapers but Jonescape stood out for best being to understand what we wanted and working within a budget we were comfortable with. Jon Jones came out to talk with us and walk through and did a few changes in our proposal because we kept changing our minds. All through the process, he didn't push to do more expensive things. He did the design himself and proposed plants and ground cover based on our general preferences. We had a few specific requests and he took those on and where he couldn't he proposed alternatives. He helped us with our HOA approvals. As soon as we could start work, he set his team to work and personally supervised the work. Everyday they made sure to clean up around the yard so we didn't have to deal with messes on the driveway, walkways and sidewalk. The team was great and completed the work within 5 days! It would have been less, but we had last minute changes (oops!) which he happily worked with us on. We love our new yard. It fulfilled all our requirements and it's even better than what we had imagined. It was within budget too! One of our new plants was eaten by an animal a day after the work was completed and Jonescape replaced it very quickly, with the advice that if it kept getting eaten, they would put a different plant in. There was also a problem with one of the lights and they came back to fix it and apologized for the trouble. I called Jonescape 2 weeks ago for an estimate on a retaining wall repair and they said that they'd call me back to set up a visit that same Friday. No call back and no appointment was made. Yesterday (10 days after the first call and 8 days after they were supposed to call me back), one of their employees called back and set up an appointment today but never showed up. I called him back twice but he didn't answer his phone. I called Jonescape and they didn't answer their phone either! I left messages at both numbers but nobody has responded. Called Jonescape to come out and give me a quote for sprinklers, landscaping and tree trimming for my 1/2 acre yard. Spoke with John who made an appointment with me for June 17th between 9-11. He/no one ever showed up nor called. Since that time I have spoken with two different Jonescape customers who said that since the father retired and the son took over, they have been unreliable. Jonescape did an amazing job for us! We live on a large corner lot that has taken lots of work, money, and water over many years. We contracted with Jonescape to do a complete do-over. Jon and Braulio walked the property with us several times to hear some ideas that we had, and then really took those ideas and designed an awesome yard - better than we could have imagined. People have literally been driving by to check it out and giving great feedback. They were here when they said they would be, prompt and courteous. Their pricing was very competitive - better than most. And Jon was willing to work with us on several changes/additions, still keeping to our budget. I called Jonescape and left a message asking for an appointment for a landscape quote but never got a call back. Weeks later I called again and got an appointment for them to come to my house in Claremont to give me an estimate for concrete and landscape work. The Jonescape hard scape representative came out on a Saturday morning in January, took measurements, talked to me about removal of turf, etc. he said he would get back to me with an estimate but I've never heard from them again. He was very knowledgeable and educated me on different landscaping ideas, which allowed for me to make an educated decision on what I wanted. It was great to be part of the process of the design.
