Sean's rad. I called yesterday afternoon, and he fit me in at 930 this morning. As another reviewer reported, he was waiting for me and waved me under his canopy as I drove up. I love the fact that you can pay him and he'll do your registration for you at his computer. I hate dealing with the DumbV, so this was perfect. Had I not been chatting his ear off he likely would have had everything done in 15 minutes. He even applied the new sticker (I'm OCD about my vehicle, and he scraped, cleaned, and scored the sticker like I would have). Go here. Sean is awesome. I got my cam shaft sensor replaced for the second time in 3 years. I went to a different place the first time, and had no idea why after it was replaced the first time that it only lasted a couple years. Just came from Norcal Auto having a smog done on my '84 VW Westy after visiting 5 other smog testers in town. Best experience I've had with a shop since moving out West! Sean took time out of his busy schedule and got me right in, as a walk in w/o an appointment. I'll be bringing all my vehicles here from now on. Not only was he very personable and competent, his price was more affordable than any other shop I visited! A previous shop charged me for a "diluted sample", ie. they did the test on a windy day and couldn't get a good reading. read more

Amazing local business! I went to pep boys who charged me $130 for a diagnostic that was wrong & after they quoted me $500 just to replace a sensor I called NorCal Auto and they quoted me almost half that! Sean also took the time to explain all of the charges with me so I understood what I was paying for. I took it in to Sean as soon as he specialty ordered my part directly from Ford & he called me an hour later to tell me pep boys was wrong and my sensor was totally fine & it was my axel that needed replacing, he rushed ordered my speciality part, got in & fixed it in one afternoon! And the final bill ended up being less than the original quote I got from pep boys just to replace a sensor. Finally I have a mechanic I can trust & will definitely be back! read more

Smog checks are something we all have to do, and are usually a huge pain. Not any more. I called Sean at Nor Cal and had an appointment set up the same day! Even though I had told him I could drop the car off, he told me he could do it while I waited. I signed some paperwork and had a seat in his comfy waiting room (nice color choice on the walls, btw). Before I could even finish catching up on some email (free wi-fi there, too), the testing was completed and I was ready to roll. Not the typical experience at a repair shop. When I arrived, Sean was just heading to lunch but made me an appt for the same day. Little did I know, it's the same Sean that has done previous work on several of my vehicles through other shops!
