I was in a bind with an alternator that went out and, as with Lexus, the factory one was pretty pricey. Being honest, the lady on the phone told me they won't install anything other than OEM for something like an alternator when I told her I couldn't really afford it at that time and asked if they'd install a cheaper non-oem one. So she then did some more digging and was able to save a lot of money on an OEM she found but it wouldn't arrive until the next day and then they'd install it. I was so thankful. BUT THEN! She called a few hours later and said that the owner actually went out and found one locally and picked it up for me, it wasn't the cheaper price but they still honored the price AND my car was already done and ready to pick up! This saved me from having to arrange for a ride from and to work from Paradise the next day to pick up my car. Just outstanding customer service and great work. There's no pressure and they really really know what they're doing. I would take any car there they'd work on, not just Toyota/Lexus. My mother in law also has taken her Toyota there for over 15 years. I very highly recommend them.

Sean's a certified badass. Went here this morning to get a smog for my car and it was about a 15 minute drive or so. I was the first and only there. Rolled into a vacant parking spot when Sean came over and asked if I here for a smog. I said "Yeah" and he asked me to park in the awning and he'd get me hooked up. I also came prepared with some Micky D's breakfast cuz ya boy was hungry. So anyway, fast forward 10 minutes and while I'm munching on my McMuffins, Sean and I are talking casually about stuff. Kitchen Nightmares is on and Gordon Ramsay is going in on some crappy chef. Sean's like "I'm pretty sure your McDonald's breakfast sandwiches taste A-1 compared to that restaurant's crap right now." In between our conversation he politely asked me to sign off and review what he was charging me for, didn't try to upsell me, sell me anything useless, or any additional fluff. He also didn't rush me out of there either. So I able to take my time and enjoy the deliciousness I had brought with me. All in all I spent about 15-20 minutes tops. The process was fast and easy. 15/10 would chat and chill with Sean again. Oh yeah and my car was fine. And I paid about $45 for the whole thing (smog check). "It seems like quality has taken a dive man, all these shops are trying to screw you out of your money. You come in for brakes, they try and sell you a tune up with it. My husbands truck wouldn't smog and they charged him hundreds for things most places don't charge for like different system flushing and fluid checks to trouble shoot. They returned his truck back and still couldn't get it to smog and had no idea what was wrong with it. I think he spent over a grand having it there for a week just to get it back no better then we left it. We took it to another place in town who informed us we had gotten ripped off and it didn't really look like they did anything, how embarrassing. Now we have to wait and try again when we have the extra money... until then he has a truck he can't drive, that won't smog, and is racking up fees while we wait to renew the registration.

So here's why : I came up to visit my best friend in Chico. I live in Southern California and drove 550+ miles in my old beat up Honda Civic. On my way home, barely 60 miles in on my voyage, my car started to overheat and I immediately had it towed back to Chico. I took it to these guys at Accurate Auto the next day, and they came highly recommended by a mechanic friend that didn't have time to look at my car. They said they would check out why it was over heating and needed it for a couple hours- no problem, any shop would say that, especially since they already had a few cars being worked on at the time. They had me sign a paper saying what I agreed to have them check out, it literally said "check for overheating", and an estimate of $0.00. (WOW- no one in SoCal charges absolutely NOTHING to look at your vehicle.) I get a call about 3 hours later and the mechanic said they did not find anything wrong with my car. They ran smog diagnostic checks to ensure my head gasket wasn't blown, checked the entire system for leaks or cracks in all the hoses and my radiator, checked the belts, fan, and ensured the water pump was working- nothing wrong. I was so glad to hear that nothing was wrong and the probable cause was due to low coolant and the 104 degree heat. So I came to pick up my car about an hour or so later and the mechanic told me the same thing as he did over the phone. He also said he let it run for 45+ minutes to see if it would overheat again, and still nothing. I told him how thankful I was that he looked and inspected my car for any possibility of it overheating again, especially since I live so far away. When I asked how much I owed him, he said nothing. I asked, "Seriously?!?" And he responded by saying "Well I couldn't find anything wrong with your car, how could I charge you for that?" I was completely in awe. I nearly cried because you cannot find that kind of kindness these days. I was scared that being a young female in an auto shop I would get taken advantage of and have them tell me various other things that needed to be done for a pretty penny, but nope, not with Accurate Auto! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place, because not only are they friendly, but they're HONEST. I could not have gotten this high quality of service back home where I live, and I appreciate this SO much. I was looking to pay anywhere from $40-$125 for this service, running tests and whatnot (a normal price for this kind of service in SoCal), but I walked away with peace of mind and a thankful heart for the people that run this business. By the way- I made it home safely, and the car ran perfectly. Not one sign of overheating. I can only thank the wonderful people of Accurate Auto for this peace of mind.
