Bright and modern space - menu was an interesting mix of Asian/Mexican/Spanish/American dishes. I tried the salmon tacos - they were yummy! A nice mix of salmon, greens, a little bit of sweet. My husband had the steak quesadilla, which was not groundbreaking but he said it was a very nicely prepared quesadilla. Women's bathroom was clean, bright, and had a spacious handicapped stall as well as diaper changing area. Would definitely recommend checking it out if you are in the area!

All 3 courses were not good at all start 1st with the shrimp. The shrimp was cooked to tough. They were stuck on the skewers and were not easy to remove. The shrimp also was not cleaned and deveined properly. I would rate it a 1 out of 10. The blackened salmon was decent but the risotto that came with it was salty and had hard pieces of rice mixed that were not thoroughly cooked. I'd give it a 3 out 10 just cause the salmon was decent. The jalapeno cilantro infused fettuccini Alfredo sounds like it would be excellent but it was lacking flavor and the plate presentation was sloppy. The dish could have been good but it was lacking flavor and I'd rate it a 3 out of 10. The huckleberry berry shortcake was not good at all the biscuits say they were made from scratch but the tasted store bought and old and the lemon sorbet with the Rosina amaro pairing tasted like medicine. The two 3rd course desserts were the icing on a horrible dinner for restaurant week. Not sure if I'll ever go back to this restaurant.

Meats I would personally recommend the spicy pork belly. It was chewy in a good way and had a lovely flavor. The beef bellies (spicy/non spicy) was also great. Beef and pork bulgogi has a lovely umami flavor. I had more meats but the best things were the sides. The kimchi was delectable and still crunchy. I do not believe it was house made but honestly that doesn't matter much to me. The spicy cucumbers tasted of gochugaru and were not as crunchy as I personally liked but still flavorful! The Hawaiian Mac salad was perfectly balanced and the pasta had a nice bounce and chew. The Asian veggie pancakes were to die for. They were crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. It was also covered in this tangy sauce. They're were perfect. The cream corn was delicious and very cheesy. There was a nice balance of cream, corn, and cheese leading to a nice creamy flavor. I also had a order of lettuce wraps that we add rice, kimchi, spicy cucumbers, and meat. It was really good and had a lot of different textures. The service was great! We had multiple servers and they were lovely. The service was fast and efficient and the hostess was great and bubbly. The ambience was nice, the lighting was warm and there was hand painted murals of cherry blossoms.

The Spicy Beef Belly was surprisingly good, and the plain Beef Belly was surprisingly "meh". All the different types of chicken were good as well. Service was good, although we did have to flag someone down one time to get more chicken. The venting they have for the grills is VERY good. Despite all the smoke we created, that little vent sucked up every bit of it and we left the place not smelling like we'd been the BBQ. Anyways... Great place. Good food. I'll have to take my wife here next.

None of the food is cooked in the authentic way but has a nice twist with the Chef's version of the dish. The Lechon is NOT traditional Filipino Lechon. It's really just pork belly that is seasoned and deep fried. I don't recommend. The Kalbi ribs are good. Some of the ribs I got were a little over cooked. The Mac Salad and cucumber salad accompany each meal and is good. Service is good and friendly. Happily surprise to see the diversity food option in Spokane, WA.

Disclosure: review and visit during Covid-19 pandemic…read more If you're looking for something new and different in the Spokane area, look no further than Island Style Food Truck! These guys are slaying it! And bringing the flavors of Guam, Philippines and Hawaii!!! I've been following Island Style Food Truck on Instagram for months, waiting (ever so patiently) until I had the opportunity to try out their grub! And my patience was well received! I occasionally travel to Spokane for work, but most days I'm there the food truck wasn't open. :*( Earlier this month the clouds parted, a ray of light shined upon Spokane, and I was able to check them out by a brewery (bonus points)! These guys came through the brewery and gave everyone bites of their lumpia - totally on point! Crispy and flavorful! I eventually placed my order (I wanted EVERYTHING), but I settled on their Hawaiian smoked pork with red rice and Mac salad, pork Sinigang (a sour, Filipino soup), Kådun Månuk (chicken and corn chowder in coconut milk) and spam over red rice and served with finadene (a must for Guam food). Yes, it's a lot, but I had a plan to eat this for meals over the next few days. All were really good or as we say on Guam (gof mångge'), like so good that the flavors brought me back home (Guam). There is literally nothing bad I can say about them. This is what Guam comfort food is!!! Let me tell you, the owner is super cool and personable. He came in for a few and we chatted. Honestly I felt home sick. Island Food Truck exudes the island hospitality! I am looking forward to my next visit, fingers crossed that they'll be open when I come through!
