a bowl of noodles with meat and vegetables

My boyfriend and I ended up at Noodlebox when the ramen spot a few doors down had a 180 minute wait!!! I guess all the bad reviews are about take out, good thing we ate in. My bf's beef box was unmemorable but my butter chicken box with noodles was bursting with flavor. The noodles were chewy, the sauce nice and creamy served with chicken breast, delish! Still drooling about this dish. Anyhoo, I guess if you want to eat her, dine in and get the butter chicken with hokkein noodles. You welcome!

Bombay mac n cheese, med spicy with chicken breast. That is more like a curry soup with macaroni no cheese and no spice.

Terrible We ordered on their app got there and they had missed our order entirely so we had to wait 20 min for our order. I got the Bombay Mac n cheese with chicken breast med spicy. What I got was a curry soup with macaroni and chicken breast. No spice. Honestly beyond disappointing. Would not go back again. Would not recommend this location.

This is the original location. My firm has ordered from this place before. But I have to say take out seems smaller than actually having it to eat in. So came here with a friend and ordered the Teriyaki Noodle with chicken and mild spicy. The noodle smelled so good. It was quite delicious but probably because I was hungry. Only issue was that there wasn't a lot of chicken and I have to say it is more expensive if you compare the portion size and price to what you would get for the same price at an Chinese or Japanese restaurant. At the end, I did notice the amount of sauce floating in the bowl. Yes my teriyaki noodle with chicken is stir fried but is not dry enough. All sauces still left hanging at the bottom of bowl. My friend ordered the Cambodian noodle with chicken. OMG it smelled so good and looked so good too. I didn't have a taste but can imagine. There are could of tables and a long sharing table (can be used for big groups as well). There is free sparkling water or still water depending on your preference. I like sparkling water and not a lot of places offers it. But of course that is a plus. Decor is not bad here. Ceiling is quite high. Interesting artwork on wall. Bathrooms are clean. I do like Noodlebox once in awhile. Will come back.

Interesting place that Caucasians cooking Asian foods... It's nice noodle place but expensive for lunch. It was so quiet on Sunday noon, only 2 tables there. I found the reviews were pretty good on this place and really want to try it. Food was ok not impress at all. My hubby ordered medium spicy of chicken peanut sauce noodle, he didn't like the sauce coz a bit bitter. I ordered daily special - scallops and prawns linguine in tomato sauce, it was pretty good.

*You know you've written quite a few reviews when you go to update your review and realize you haven't written a review in the first place* Enter Noodle Box - my go-to place when I'm craving something that I can justify as healthy and loaded with peanut sauce: hence the five sexy stars. I may only come here to get my peanut fix but, I do love the spice categorization too. I'm a mild myself, sometimes I dabble in mild medium, but my tongue usually regrets it! One day my goal is to graduate to "American Medium" which I believe is a couple more spice notches down on the menu! I also *heart* that there is a designated area for separate your recyclables and compostables. Thank You Noodle Box for for being greener than most!

Noodlebox is perfect for what it is - a quick spot to grab a hearty bowl of noodles. I've tried most things on the menu over the years that I've been visiting, and pretty much everything has been amazing! The Pad Thai is my least favourite - I found it quite sticky, but that may just have been the day I was there. The black bean and garlic, Teriyaki, and spicy peanut are all awesome, and you can also sub out different types of noodles if you want. The udon is a great substitute! The space is light and airy and the booth is comfy. The stools are fine, but I'm not a huge fan of seats with no backs. The water taps now have both still and sparkling which is awesome! You order at the front, take a seat, and listen out for your name to be called with a giant steaming bowl of delicious! They have chopsticks and forks, and a few different types of hot sauce - all of which are labelled with a nice description. The bowls are giant and although I *can* finish them, I always feel like I'm about to explode when I do! The flavours are rich and vibrant, if not entirely authentic. But you don't come here for an authentic Thai/Chinese meal, you come here for a delicious bowl of noodles that pop with flavour - so go do that! It's well worth it!

As I walked into this hip and happening joint in Kits, the waitress asked me what I would like to order and how spicy. I already took a quick glance and I knew I was going for the Cambodian Jungle curry as I already tried the black bean and garlic Hokkien noodles last time! I said emphatically "Xtra hot" as their "suicide hot" option was probably too much for even my taste buds to handle. I got to take care of those wonderful taste buds if I going to keep Yelping! The Noodle box had humble beginnings as a refurbished hot dog stand to currently two Vancouver and several Victoria brick and mortar stores. It's sort of a fusion of South East Asian (Singapore, Thailand, Malaysian ) type noodle dishes. Amazing frankly to think that the first noodle box was literally a hot dog stand in Victoria! I like the lively atmosphere and the healthy options(split box and no carb box) that you able to customize with the dishes. It's self serve as you have to pick up your order when your name is called. I have to admit the prices are pretty high for this food court style service. They do offer appys like spring rolls, roti, dumplings and grilled satay but I haven't tried them yet. Most of the noodle dishes can be substituted with rice (brown also available). There's soup and curries options available as well. The food overall just doesn't have enough flavour. Kind of like a bunch of ingredients stir fried together and the sauce poured on top. Cool atmosphere but pricey unflavorful fusion food gives it a 3 star.

Nice rainy day people watching perch.

Usually, that would be enough to make me look elsewhere. This time, I took a chance, and I'm glad I did. The stall is run by a genuinely friendly couple, and the service was impressively quick. My order was ready in about five minutes and handed to me with a bright smile. There was something refreshing about that kind of service. No fuss, no long wait, just a warm greeting and a hot meal. I ordered the shrimp pad Thai combo for $16.75, just a little more than the roughly $15 regular dish. The combo comes with a pop, soup and spring roll. The pad Thai arrived loaded with crunchy crushed peanuts, crisp vegetables and savoury shrimp. The noodles were soft and chewy, while the vegetables and peanuts brought plenty of crunch and contrast. There was a nice balance of sweet, savoury and tangy flavours, with the shrimp adding a deeper savoury note throughout. I went with medium spice, which turned out to be just right. There was enough heat to warm me up without overwhelming the food. The spice lingered on the palate, giving each bite a pleasant kick while still allowing the other flavours to come through. What I enjoyed most was how much the food reminded me of home cooking. It did not feel mass-produced or thrown together simply because it was lunchtime. There was a certain care in it, like someone had taken the time to make a proper meal. For around the same price as something you might get from a school cafeteria, this was considerably more satisfying. The soup was the one weak point. It was essentially hot water with a little salt and cilantro, and I could have done without it. The spring roll was much better, adding some crispness to the meal. Little Bangkok may have been the quiet stall, but the food gave me a reason to stop. Fresh ingredients, well-balanced flavours, a satisfying mix of textures and just enough spice made the pad Thai genuinely enjoyable. Add the remarkably fast service and the warmth of the couple running the stall, and this was one lunch-hour gamble that paid off.

Every time I come, I can feel the professionalism and attentiveness of the staff. From seating to ordering, and then to the care during the meal, everything is done with great finesse, making me feel comfortable and at ease. Whether it's the freshness of the ingredients, the presentation, or the taste, you can feel the attention to detail. Japanese cuisine emphasizes the quality of the ingredients themselves, and Miku presents this refinement beautifully. Every dish is pleasing to the eye and has a layered flavor. I also love the ambiance. The overall design is simple, elegant, and has a very comfortable Japanese aesthetic. The lighting, seating, and spatial layout all create a relaxing atmosphere without feeling overly decorated; instead, they have a high-quality feel. As for the atmosphere, I think it's what makes this place so special. Elegant and quiet, yet not too formal, it's suitable for dates or enjoying a good meal with friends. I'm lost for words.. I went to this restaurant 3 days ago and I'm still thinking about their food…read more I want to say it's hands down the best Thai food I have ever had!!! They have been around for 9yrs or more and is a small family-run restaurant. They have a small space, I would say no bigger than a group of 6. I would highly recommend going here especially during the summer. For drinks, we got their fresh coconut (coconut water in the actual shell with fresh meat inside) soooo refreshing and perfect for the summer. We also got their thai iced coffee and their thai iced tea with lemon (it was my first time having it with lemon tea instead of milk and it was AMAZING). For food - we got their deep-fried tofu, sooo crispy on the outside and the sauce it came with was the best. Would recommend having their prig pao fried rice and pad kee mao noodles. The server asked her for our spice level and we said between medium and spicy, they nailed it! It was the perfect spice level for us. Last but not the least, the star of the show - the mango sticky rice. The presentation was spectacular but so was the taste. We loved it so much that we ended up ordering a second one!!

The restaurant is located on a busy street and is unassuming/easy to miss so I'm glad my boyfriend pointed it out for us to try with some friends. We ordered a bunch of dishes to share. They all arrived relatively quickly and my favourites were the pad thai and the khao soi. The pad thai was fragrant and on the sweeter side which I like. I also liked the fresh raw bean sprouts on the side. The khao soi was curry noodles with tender beef and crispy egg noodles. The curry was very flavourful with a hint of heat and sweetness. This was also my first time trying curry noodles at a Thai restaurant. The green curry was filled with bamboo shoots, peppers, and a good amount of chicken. The flavour from the bamboo shoots really comes through as well. For the crab fried rice, it came with a spicy sauce and pickled vegetables. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough to go around so I didn't get a chance to get a good taste of it with the rice. However, I scooped some curry sauce from the khao soi onto the crab friend rice and it was delicious! Finally, we tried the mango sticky rice and my goodness, it was so pretty! The rice was warm and sweet which paired beautifully with the slightly tart mango. I'll definitely have to come back to have more of the khao soi noodles!
