If I could give this place a zero, I would. I told my 13 year old that as soon as the cashier gave us attitude we should've walked straight out the door but we decided to stay and boy, what a mistake that was. Worst use of my $27 ever! I could've taken that to the strip club instead and helped support a single mother for five minutes. I got the Malaysian bowl, spicy rating Hot after being chewed out by the cashier because she couldn't hear me over the loud music they have blaring when I just had a simple question about the rating. I hate when white ppl tell me when something is spicy because some consider black pepper spicy. The spice that came with my dish was alright, could've been spicier. What got me was the fact my food had absolutely NO fucking taste. No seasoning. No salt. Just noodles, random pieces of veggies and some kinda funky orange sauce but tastes nothing Malaysian. Malaysia should sue these guys for even claiming it on their menu. I am appalled. I took a bite, went and grabbed the soy sauce but after numerous generous splashes of soy, I just knew there was no fixing it. I gave up on the bowl. Worst way to blow $12 on food ever . I didn't even finish it. Never again. My son got the beef chow mein, spice rating Scorching hot and boy they must really hate 13 year olds because I can just imagine them dumping the entire jar of pepper flakes into his dish. It's like they skipped mine and put it all in his. Lucky for them, he's raised on spice so he was able to handle it. His noodles were bland too but my son is definitely nicer than me, he continued eating. No thanks noodle box. The only nice thing about this place is it looks clean. I have had some fantastic meals at Noodlebox locations in Victoria, so I was very surprised by my truly sad meal at this Duncan location. I ordered the Singapore cashew curry which I normally love. As I started in, I thought all the flavour must have gone to the bottom as it was just so bland. Just plain veggies, tofu, and noodles. I stirred and ate a bit more and noticed there were also ZERO cashews. I took the box up to the cashier and said they must have missed the cashews in my cashew curry. She said, "oh, okay" and told the cook. He offered up a tiny plastic cup of raw cashew pieces. No offer to redo my dish. Okay. Well, I added these to my bland food and kept trying. But to top it all off, the noodles were overcooked as well as flavourless. Noooooo. If the noodles at Noodlebox aren't any good, it's game over, right? I tossed the rest of the box and left, having totally wasted my money and lunch break. read more

Don't waste your money here, the food is inedible. Not the noodle box I remember from victoria years ago, very disappointing place... I used to love noodle box but this is far from that. Very unfortunate as they just opened up. read more

I have been to a lot of noodle boxes in the greater Victoria area. The one in Duncan is horrible. Today was the last time. I f you ask for protein you might get a protein that you paid for but usually not the one you asked for or nothing at all. If I could have said -5 I would. Even one stare is to much. Well that was a flop ! Tried to contact the restaurant ahead to pre-order a large staff order.....no answer. As the reviews and a few experiences our staff has already experienced were not good, I thought I'd email the manager "Matt" to try to ensure a better experience.....no reply from him. Phone not answered until 11:10 when we placed our 6 meals order, and were told there was no Tofu today. Last week there was no zucchini noodles. Not too convinced to continue our staff lunches here, as good customer service would have made the 3 minute walk to Save On Foods to buy some tofu for the day, especially when it takes 3 minutes to prepare ! Shouldn't be advertising for something you choose not to provide ! Doesn't compare to other locations of Noodlebox ! read more

I've been to this location on 3 occasions. The first time, it had just opened. I ordered a Cambodian. The order took 40 min, it was very dry with hardly any vegetables. The noodles were stuck together. I've had this dish at the uptown location in Victoria and it is amazing! As it had just opened I decided to give it another try. This time I ordered a spicy peanut, it arrived within 15 min and was just ok. I decided to give it one more try. Today, I once again ordered a spicy peanut and I'm happy to say it was very good! This was what I expected from the Noodle Box! Lots of veggies, quite saucy with creamy noodles! Please keep it up! My review is based on the 3 experiences. read more

ok so i went in there today for lunch.....may 1 2018......i ordered the jungle noodles. after waiting about 20 minutes my name was called and i proceeded to the counter and found my order was .....in a cup...THATS RIGHT FOLKS ....in a cup. i asked the lady that was calling out names i thought this was noodle box....she said.....this is the way that order came and really didnt seem to care as she was busy.... anyways after waiting 20 minutes of my half hour lunch break i opened it up to see a small piece of mango and a ton of cilantro . being hungry i sat down to discover my noodles where soaked and soggy in a coconut milk that reminded me of getting an itchy ban noodle pak for 50 cents and over cooking them........today i had the worst first experience ever of a first time in a new resturant in duncan. i thought the noodle box was a company based on quick 5minutes and your out the door......bad experience today andi will not soon be going back.....two other people i have talked to have had the same bad experience there., i feel if they want to be authentic then maybe have some noodles prepared after all really how much do noodles cost..........i paid 16.00 for a soggy lunch of noodles without a drink.....i feel my hard earned money could have been better spent at a more established place.......i think they should change the name to....soogynoodle box.....or....soggy noodle cup...... read more
