Seafood Fried Rice
Iqbal L.

We had a great lunch at Noodle Wave. We ordered the Basil Fired Rice with beef, Sesame chicken, Seafood fried rice and Pad See Eew. We ordered spice level 2 which was perfect since we did not want it too spicy. The restaurant was quiet and the service was great. The server took good care of us. Highly recommended for halal Asian Thai food.

I can only speak off my one visit that I found Noodle Wave packs robust, rich flavors in its dishes. My wife and I always test a Thai restaurant by our staples: panang curry, pad thai noodles, and tom kha soup. It was weird - the flavors of the pad thai and panang were not what we're used to. The flavors were very good, but simply not what we were expecting, like there is a plan B to putting these dishes together and we had only ever been served plan A. So it took some getting used to the tastes before we could enjoy them. The other weird thing is that while I don't think we'd ever order those two plates again, the flavors were so exotic and exciting that we definitely want to come back and soon. The menu looks very adventurous now that we know NW uses very fresh ingredients. The wait staff appears consistently relaxed and natural. I like that. Not overbearing or absent, nor fake or indifferent. Everyone seems themselves and it contributes to the calming experience I think eating Thai should be. Speaking of calm, love the design of NW. Not busy but not void of character. Just a good balance of atmosphere. I have a good feeling we'll be coming here often and enjoying a great variety of dishes.

OK so the best part about this place as we all know, is that they have halal meat. Unfortunately, I did not know that you did not get a bowl of soup in the beginning and that is only for a lunch so that was annoying. Fortunately for us, the food made up for that. The number one thing for me that I liked was that the children's meals came out really fast because if the kids are not happy-- nobody is happy. They got chicken nugget meals that come with ice cream, which is fantastic. They had Vanilla Ice cream, coconut ice cream, and green tea as well as options. Both of my kids chose vanilla and enjoyed it. I felt like the chicken was off in the noodle dishes, pad thai and pad see ew, and so I was not able to eat the actual chicken in the noodle dishes, but I did like the sesame chicken and my favorite was the Orange chicken. Their Thai tea is also quite good. Overall, I would come here again!

Yum Woonsen Shrimp and Chicken

Of all the Noodle Waves, this one is my favorite! Great service and really good food... how can you go wrong? This place is located in an unassuming strip mall, but there's plenty of parking. After you place your order, you're given a little bowl of soup. The best way to describe it is a Peanut-y Tom Kha. It's creamy, savory, a little spicy and very delicious! We went overboard for lunch and ordered enough for an army: Yum Woonsen - light and refreshing. The clear noodles perfectly absorbed the tangy lime dressing and the shrimp and chicken were cooked to perfection. Rama Peanut Chicken - this creamy sauce makes anything tastes good! Chicken was tender and perfectly spiced. Pumpkin Curry Shrimp - it's a seasonal item. It's close to yellow curry, but not as sweet. The pumpkin gives great texture to the dish. Lo Mein Kao Soy - tender beef with crispy AND soft noodles served with chili oil. Party in your mouth! Pad Thai - definitely a must when trying a Thai restaurant for the first time. This one is a little on the sweet side, but still very good. We washed it all down with a tall glass of Thai tea. Overall an amazing meal! One big plus, the food tastes great as leftovers too! I can't wait to come back and try their other dishes.

Drunken noodle with tofu

I came here for a work lunch and it did not disappoint. I can't believe I hadn't been before and this is now on my top list for Thai food. The service was good and our server was attentive. The lunch entrees came with a soup and it was flavorful. I got the drunken noodles with fried tofu. The tofu was very good. I can't wait to go back and try more dishes.

Good food; not amazing but satisfactory. Great service. Casual but neat ambiance. Price is reasonable.

Food was absolutely amazing especially the peanut udon noodles! The spring rolls were also amazing! The restaurant has a ver cute interior and the service is amazing. They do charge extra for steamed rice with your curries which is not something many Thai restaurants do, so that was a bit disappointing.

Small salmon. Bland curry.

Party of four tonight. All dishes were superb. I had finger salmon and highly recommend it. We also had a Panang curry, Sriracha beef bowl, crispy chicken green curry. Service was perfect. Social distancing is excellent.

Nice place, good service, but the dish I chose (udon sesame chicken) was just too sweet.

So good! The portions are fairly large and the price is unbeatable. My favorite dish is the spicy beef bowl. :)

Do they serve alcohol?

THEY ARE NO LONGER BYOB! There is a sign on the door stating you cannot bring it in and they DO NOT SERVE IT EITHER.

Is it halal?

Yep! It's 100% halal certified!

Is it BYOB?

Yes. Although I no longer drink alcohol, I and my fellow dining companions have enjoyed our own beer, wine, and liquor on several occasions. If you are picky, you may want to bring glasses that are suited to your beverage as thiers are limited.…

The white pad Thai was consistent and still really good, my friends really liked it! It's not sweet compared to regular pad Thai and overall has a deep flavor. The yellow curry that I got, on the other hand, was just ok. It was missing some flavor that I couldn't exactly pinpoint. The rice portion is also a little small, I feel like I've gotten larger rice portions with curry before. Service is great, the waiters were super attentive and kind. The restaurant was also quite comfortable and not the look of your typical Thai restaurant.

My Hubby waited in the car thinking it would not take 35 minutes, but it was extremely too long! The sad thing, was they weren't busy with it being a Saturday?? While waiting for our order I chatted up the sweet couple to my right, Jasmine and Joshua, and on my left was Kate, from Kansas City. We all were interacting about it wasn't it same??! J2 had had an appetizer & ordered an entree togo. The dude behind the bar brought out the entree as to serve...not boxed. J2boxed it themselves. I ordered 2 Duck Roti, Penang Chicken & Shrimp Pad Thai. $63*$12tip for a togo order...well it's our last!!!!! The Duck, meh, the Penang was horrible, 4 tiny bites of chicken with only green bell pepper, yuck! The shrimp dish was average. I could have made dinner in that 35 timeframe, and should have. Won't be back...bye, bye Sahhuu, the dude at the at bar had zero personality, no attention to hospitality. Disappointing!!!!! *Tomorrow's dinner, Chicken Penang & Yellow Curry, made in my kitchen.

Everything was flavorful and delicious, and I loved how the dishes had such a nice balance of flavors. Nothing felt too overwhelming, and everything paired really well together. Toward the end of our meal, we started singing happy birthday to my friend, and the staff noticed and came over to offer us complimentary ice cream. Saucy's offers authentic and delicious Thai food. Definitely the best I've had since being in Texas…read moreand I highly recommend it. We went with the Tom Kha soup and papaya salad as starters and pad Thai and Pad Kee Mao as entrees. First, I'll kick off the review with a note about spice levels, when they say 1-5 this is not a time to be cute. 2 is plenty spicy for most consumers. The Tom Kha soup was honestly the best soup I've ever had! Not just best Thai soup, but best soup in general. I highly recommend it. Excellent flavors dance on the tongue with every taste. The papaya salad was okay, but had us googling and referring to Yelp reviews to see if it actually had Papaya included. It's a white variation of the fruit, so yes, it is incorporated within the salad. It's okay but wasn't the highlight of the night. The pad Thai is exceptional once you mix the peanuts in throughout. That provides the perfect blend of flavors. The Pad Kee Mao was delicious. Excellently seasoned and tasty. Again, here is where I go to the spice levels. I am someone who loves spicy foods, but at level 3 I found myself at the edge of what I would like. That said, it was a delicious dish. Absolutely loved the taste experience and would highly recommend.
