We FINALLY were able to stop by Noodle St. for a late lunch Saturday afternoon after having bookmarked them for years ! We are huge fans of The Magic Noodle in Vegas and haven't quite found anything closer to home comparable to them.. until now !! Parking lot is huge and shared between a few other businesses and we had no trouble finding a spot . We were greeted right away by the hostess, which also happens to be our waitress-- she offered a table inside the restaurant which was about 80% full, but we opted to sit outside, OF COURSE (: --It was a gorgeous slightly-sunny day and there were about 5 tables outside with only one other table occupied . I took a look at the menu and honestly wanted to order one of everything lol-- Here's what we ate: POTATO STRING SHRIMP (5 pieces): literally like shoestring fries wrapped around shrimp ! Cwispy exterior, chewy potatoe middle, then shrimp in the center-- basic, yet such a unique and fun bite . Shrimp could've been more plump or serving could've been more plentiful . Served with a sweet and sour sauce which was mediocre compared to the actual appetizer-- Ask for the chili oil tray to spice things up ! 6.5/10 BONE-IN RIB RICE NOODLE SOUP: We opted for the triangle cut noodles for this entree and it was like one super, SUPERRR long noodle in the soup which made it such an exciting slurp and bite . This was a flavorful pho broth which really hit the spot . Served steaming hot and garnished with herbs with two massive meaty bones-- we definitely got our gnawing on lol; the meat was tender and fall off the bone. Highly recommend !! 10/10 JAPANESE MISO NOODLE SOUP: This was a play on ramen soup which turned out to be just okay to me. The broth was a little underwhelming compared to the bone-in rib soup . We also got the triangle cut noodles for this entree . I did like the thinly sliced char sui . Egg could've been more jammy-- it was hard boiled . If you're looking for a more plain broth, I'd get this one . 5/10 BEEF STIR FRY NOODLES: we added shrimp to this entree for an additional $4 because we wanted some surf and turf action and it did not disappoint ! I opted for knife cut noodles and it has to be my fav-- irregular strands of thick, chewy, and bouncy noodles -- so heavenly ! The flavor in this stir fry was smokey, savory, slightly gingery, umami and the vegetables paired all well-- reminded me of chow fun sauce . Love the use of kale, onions, and bell peppers . Delivers an authentic experience that apparently is very popular and growing outside of the Chinese / Asian audience. The beef noodle soup meets my standard for being good, was actually a tad spicy as I drank a lot of water but I'm perfectly fine with that. I'm personally a fan of Szechuan version of beef noodle soup, richer broth but this was flavorful in a more mild way that is still good. The meat pieces and everything is as you see pictured... Some girls at our table thought it was quite spicy so beware. This place used to be decent, but after this experience, we're never coming back. I brought my wife and our 3-year-old daughter here on Saturday, expecting a nice meal -- instead, we got attitude, confusion, and outright unprofessionalism from management. Our initial order was simple: * 1 Spicy Beef Noodle * 1 Chicken Noodle Soup (so my wife could share with our daughter) My wife really wanted the spicy beef, but since it's too spicy for a toddler, I asked if they had a smaller, kid-friendly chicken noodle bowl. The server assured us they did, and we were given the option of beef or chicken broth. Based on that, we ordered 2 Spicy Beef Noodles and 1 "kids" Chicken Noodle Soup. What came out? Three full-sized adult bowls -- and when I asked, I was told they don't even offer kids' portions. This was a clear bait-and-switch upsell, and it was insulting. The server who took our order actually acknowledged the miscommunication, apologized, and even offered to cover the mistake -- which was appreciated. That's where the professionalism ended. Enter the manager -- who wasted no time mentioning her six years of experience, as if that excused what came next. She aggressively reached across the table toward my toddler's bowl and barked, "YOU DON'T WANT THE SOUP, OK?!" -- as if bullying a child is some sort of customer service strategy. It was uncomfortable, unnecessary, and beyond inappropriate. To top it off, she loudly hollered about the cost -- first shouting it's "$4," then correcting herself mid-rant to "$8." The whole thing felt like we were being shaken down in a place that's supposed to offer hospitality. I'm a local restaurant owner myself, and I can confidently say this manager has completely lost touch with how to handle customers, complaints, or even basic decency. Pasadena's location will be my go-to from now on -- at least they know how to treat people. Between the dirty tables, the bait-and-switch tactics, and the unhinged management, this location is a complete embarrassment. Never again. read more

This may not be a completely fair review as I'm eating mostly vegetarian now but in order to fully review a place like Noodle St., a diet was broken. Or to some, a way of life. Unfortunately it wasn't as satisfying as one would think from trying their spicy beef noodle. It had good flavor but not nearly deep enough. The meat was also too chewy, not cooked enough to make sure they truly melt with one chew. The beef rolls, which are a big signature dish for all introductions to Taiwanese food-- were ok. Not terrible and not great. It's a great beginner step into what the best beef rolls are supposed to be. That sweet hoisin like sauce was balanced well but not enough beef slices for the proportion. But still good. The noodles were done well. You get your choice on wide, skinny or shredded cut. Stay away from the vegetable noodle. It's so bland even the monks may sprinkle some salt and soy sauce in it. Nothing about it tells me there's any care into the broth. Granted it's not all easy to make a vegetarian broth bomb but... they could try? That cucumber salad though was done pretty proper. It's got chunks of garlic and tons of cilantro. Love! If they added some sliced ginger and hot sauce it would be perfect!! Bottom line-- eh. I'll be on the search for a better Taiwanese noodle place. read more

Really good food and good service. Got the signature beef noodle soup (knife cut), juicy pork buns, and beef roll pancakes. The texture of the noodles was excellent and the soup was very flavorful. Pork buns were good and the beef roll pancake was also very tasty. Came on a Saturday around 11:45 and the place was already pretty packed. They have two tables for large parties outside, but place is pretty small so it gets pretty busy. Food came out pretty quickly and the servers constantly check on you and refill your water. Hidden little ramen shop within Fullerton, just a skip away from the Disney scene. The staff welcomed us with open arms and warm smiles. Their attention to detail was unmatched. The speed and delivery of my meal were incredible--under 10 minutes. The meal itself was superb. The quality of the noodles, prepared by cooks you can watch in action, was exceptional. If it weren't for Noodle St., the strip mall it is in would be desolately empty. The crowd drives us to get delivery from here a majority of the time, and we've tried nearly the entire menu over the last couple years. But if you do opt to dine in, you'll see the kitchen through large glass windows, where you can watch them make their noodles (and everything else) by hand. Service is fast, no-nonsense, but still polite. The food always slaps if you know what to get. My Taiwanese partner's all-time favorite dish is beef noodles, and we travel far and wide to find bowls that suit his tastes and Noodle St. is it. The spicy beef noodles with knife cut noodles and cucumber salad are musts. The broth is DEEEEEP with flavor, and the beef is melt-in-your-mouth tender. really solid noodle place! i like that you can choose which kind of noodles you want. husband got triangle and i got knife cut, both on the chewier side. i enjoyed both, nice bite. we got the signature beef soup with the triangle cut, and the .. i forgot the name, but the cold noodles with chili and bean sprouts with the knife cut noodles. both dishes were really nice, added chili oil to both, and black vinegar to the knife cut noodles. also tried the beef roll, very nice, and the cucumber salad, a must in my opinion. parking was tricky mid-day even, not a large lot and lots of traffic into that parking lot for the other places in the same strip. no wait on a thursday at 1230p but steady stream of customers. clean inside, minimal decorations. and service was QUICK, food came out so fast, which is awesome when you're hungry and impatient haha. read more

Ok this is one of my favorite places to go. I've been coming here for quite some while now. I tend to try different things but love my usual order that end up being the egg with tomato noodles knife cut and beef roll or the pan fried dumplings. The noodles so good, it doesn't have an protein but you could add if you like but you definitely don't need it. The beef roll is super crunchy and yummy I ask for sauce and sriracha on the side. This place is filled with loving and hard working people. Always get greeted and sat almost right away if not it doesn't take such a long time to wait unless you go lunch or dinner time. They do a great job cleaning the table and getting the next party to their table. You get to see the chefs in the kitchen making the noodles and your food. There's chili oil on the table so you can add it yourself if you need. The broth definitely tastes better with the chili oil! The noodles were fresh, chewy, and tasty! Love it when triangle noodles are available (they're my favorite kind). The meat and daikon could have been better. Beef roll was also decent. It did fall apart as we ate it. If the greens fall out, we put them into our soup as extra garnish. The food is great. I ordered the Qinghai clear cold noodle and the noodles were springy, thick, and chewy. The sauce for the cold noodles was a refreshingly tangy and spicy. My mom ordered the signature noodles which she reported enjoying. The portion of the noodle soup is big; the beef is tender and the spicy broth will warm you up on a cold day. The texture of the pancake was perfectly crunchy and was filled with just the right amount of herbs.
