Teeny place in a non-descript location on Main St. It gets crowded fast. The service was pleasant, but unpolished. The food was mostly OK. The soup dumplings were very good. The Singapore noodles were pretty good. The pad thai was OK. The shrimp rolls were OK. The scallion pancake was really greasy. The soup dumplings made up for the other lackluster offerings. I'm half Chinese and grew up eating home cooked authentic Chinese food, so I'm very picky about going out for Chinese food. The dishes here are decent but it isn't just Chinese. There's a mix of Japanese and Thai food here, as well. The noodles are Japanese uodon noodles or pad Thai. There are no Chinese noodles on the menu. The xiao long bao (soup dumplings) were great - just the right size to fill a spoon and eat whole. The roast duck wasn't good, it was all bone and very little meat. The fried pork dumplings were crisp and served hot. Waitstaff here is not knowledgable about the food or what things are called, so don't expect to come in and ask for things unless you speak to one of the Chinese guys in back. I gave three stars mainly because of the duck and the lack of knowledge of the menu items. I was hoping for an authentic little spot but this is not it. read more

We stopped by for some boba and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. The boba wasn't too soggy and the drink wasn't crazy doused with syrup. (Well, it WAS actually really, really sweet, but not unbearable. I was thankful I could actually taste the tea.) Next time, I think I'll ask for half or 3/4 sugar. Went there for lunch today with a few folks. I had the chicken pad thai lunch special which wasn't a bad deal for $9. With the lunch special you get 2 dumplings and a soda or iced tea in addition to your choice between maybe 8 or 10 entrees. The Pad Thai was nothing to write home about. The texture seemed off versus more authentic Thai places I have been to. While there were a few peanuts mixed in, there was no real texture and the entire dish seemed like 1 bland mass of noodles. The fried dumplings were ok and the iced tea was really good. We ended the meal on a sour note however when we had to wait for one of their wait staff to goto the bank to get more bills so we could split one $20 bill. read more

This was a great little find in White Plains. I live in California and can get authentic asian food every day of the week. Add to that my wife is Chinese and so we eat a lot of asian food. I think I surprised the waiter when I asked for a couple of items by their Chinese names. The juicy pork dumplings were quite good, and the pan fried noodles I had were great. I did also get a tapioca bubble tea, which was very good. The atmosphere was casual and friendly. I did have to order my tea twice, they forgot the first time. This place is great for lunch! My office is just upstairs so I come here to grab lunch when I am hungry! The portion is generous! You get Thai ice tea, salad, side dishes, and entrée for only $8.95! I like chicken green curry, spicy and sweet! My colleagues are majority Hispanic and they love fried rice and Tom Yum from the Noodle+. I just discovered they also serve Taiwanese food! I've been here twice in two weeks time! We typically arrive a half hour before they close - I notice because the closer it gets to closing time, it seems the less accommodating the staff seems to be. Both times I watched them turn customers away, either mere minutes before or after they close! I guess business is so good they can afford to turn off some people... So, BE WARNED! We ordered the shrimp rolls, dumplings, pad thai, pad see eew, drunken noodle, and green curry rice bowl. The portions are decent and the food comes out piping hot, though in no particular order. Service is quick and maybe too efficient as it seems they want to clear the table as soon as possible to get the heck out of there for the night! Had i wrote this review when I first tried this place, it would have gotten 2 stars, but after trying it recently, I think they remembered that Thai food is supposed to be spicy. Now, I enjoy this place quite a bit. The lunch special is a steal, especially if you get the Thai iced tea. My last two times, I have found the food rather flavorful, not excellent, but plenty good. I still do not like the soups, go figure at a place with "noodle" in the name, but the Thai dishes are what keep me coming back. A few things that keeps this place from getting 3.5 - 4.0 stars is that for lunch special, you are limited to only 6 choices, so if you are a regular you'll get bored pretty quickly. I have to say, for a random Asian fusion, I was impressed with their crab & pork soup dumplings. You can actually taste the crab! Some places give you so little crab you're better off just ordering the regular pork, but the xlb had good flavor. Drunken noodles were meh - unusually sweet and noodles were overcooked. Bubble tea - I've had better. I will definitely be back for the xlb. Unfortunately, the other dishes weren't anything special, hence the 3 stars. read more

Cheap in quality but not in price, with service to match. When we came in, we had to flag down a waitress to seat us. Two of the three waitresses were hiding in the kitchen, talking to each other and looking at their phones. This left the third waitress to handle the entire restaurant by herself. She was new, didn't know the menu (she had to flag down one of the waitresses from the kitchen to explain basic facts about the food), and was completely overwhelmed. Like most reviewers here, I stumbled upon Noodle+ while shopping in White Plains. It is not at all noticeable unless you're really looking out the Barnes & Noble entrance and happen to see it. ("Oh hey, I think that's an Asian place over there, up for some ramen?" said my husband). I've been there several times since then and have generally had a good experience. The food is reliably good and there is a solid selection. I get a bubble tea every time because bubble tea makes me feel like a kid again. I refrain from blowing bubbles through my straw though, because I'm a classy lady. I have two complaints: 1. The service is not as reliable as the food. We've had our plates come out separately several times (significant delay between dishes arriving) and the staff doesn't seem on top of things. For example, forgetting that they are out of something until well after we've ordered. 2. Small space. Be prepared to snuggle up next to your fellow diners and make friends. ("Oh hey! Is that the green curry you're having? Looks good! I think I'll get the same.") If you are a parent with stroller needs you can just forget about it. The summer time is great because they have lots of outdoor seating, which is wonderful. Consider going here if you are out at the movies across the street and want to skip the chain restaurants. Have ordered takeout from Noodle+ a few times as it is close to my office. A reoccurring theme is the lack of customer service. After they messed up my takeout order I called and let them know they left out a side dish. After hearing the woman ask who packed the order she got back on the phone and said she must have packed the order and was 100% sure that she packed all items. Ummm okay. First you weren't sure who packed the order but now you are telling me you are 100% sure it was included. I walked back and returned the whole order. Never apologized and was more interested in telling me I must be wrong. Lost a repeat customer over a side order. For what its worth, I have found the southeast asian dishes (Thai and Vietnamese) much better than the standard Chinese dishes. read more

Remember the first time I came here 6 years ago and being blown away by the service and food (first place I tried duck which now I love) so much so that this has become a go to take out spot at least twice a month. I have to say when it comes to hit or miss it is mostly hit but I do expect a hit every so often idk if it's different chefs or cooks but sometimes I get such a good portion and sometimes it lacks so idk who to blame especially for asking for extra duck and being charged for it but only getting one serving or not getting charged and still not getting it but they didn't say they couldn't. Just the lil things but def better quality of you dine in but still don't knock the takeout. When we met, he started accusing me of inputting the wrong address, though I told him the address is just around the corner. He did not believe me and started verbally abusing me. I just recently moved to White Plains and am on the hunt for yummy restaurants in the area. Noodles plus seems like it's going to fit the bill! Tasty food, decent portions, and reasonable prices, yeah! Decor-wise, it's fine, neat, clean and not huge. More of a takeout place than sit-down, but definitely a place that you can bring a small party for dinner if need be. It is a pan-Asian place but I think I am going to treat it like a Thai restaurant. I've mostly just ordered Thai noodle dishes and it hasn't disappointed. I don't think I'll ever order the Cantonese food because it's around double the price I'd pay in Chinatown, and while it's probably fine for White Plains, it will just make me irrationally angry to do that. That being said, I did end up trying the soup dumplings out of curiosity, and was actually quite surprised by the quality..for a place that doesn't specialize in Shanghainese food, they were actually very yummy and tasted fresh. We probably ordered half the menu as we were really hungry and the waitress was joking with us that we were having a buffet. the inside is small but it was suitable for what we wanted and there was outside seating as well. We came in time to be one of the last to be served inside but they were still doing take out orders. The food was delicious so we were happy we ordered extra so we can eat leftovers later. She missed our drinks but we were so full on our food that the water was plenty and didn't bother to ask for them ,which we could easily have done.
