Convenient located on Francis Lewis Blvd. I was in the area, so I stopped by for lunch a little after they opened at 12PM. The service is friendly and quick. They have a few tables and counter seating. I opted to sit at the bar counter (they have window counter seating as well). They have a couple TVs with videos about Taiwan playing, then switched one to March Madness. Braised Monced Pork Dry Noodles (with #4 the thin noodles). They initially brought out the soup version, but quickly realized and brought it back in to get it corrected. The flavor of the pork is good, but a bit dry. They give a lot of noodles, which were perfectly cooked. It came with half a tea egg. I'm personally not a huge fan of these so can't really judge but seemed ok. It also has bean sprouts and scallions to add a bit of crisp. Decent portion size, but it was just not checking the right boxes. I don't normally drink soda, but I've got a soft spot (nostalgia) for Apple Sidra. I like that they gave me a cup of ice and straw automatically. Overall, the noodles are definitely the star. The prices are decent as well. There is a 5% cash discount. Maybe I'll try the noodle soups next time.

Happy Valentine's Day! After running my errands today, I walked to Noodle Lab for lunch. A server greeted me and gave me two seating options. I chose to sit at the bar. I was bummed to find out the Squid Stick Noodle Soup came in a pork broth. The ambiance was perfect for brunch, lunch, and dinner dates. Food Popcorn Chicken Noodles Soup + Noodle Type: #3 Handmade Noodle + Popcorn Chicken + Chicken Broth - Braised Pork Sauce A server brought out a huge bowl of chicken broth and noodles. I drank the delicious broth and slurped the noodles. The popcorn chicken was crispy and tasty. Chicken Gizzards The chicken gizzards were flavorful, but there was too much cilantro and carrots. Bookmark this spot to try!

Food was ok. The most tasty part of the meal was the broth and the rice. Had the beef tendon noodle soup, spicy wonton and the pork chop and rice. The beef tendon and pork chop lacked flavor. Service was good.

Was recommended by friends and family so decided it was time to try out the Taiwanese food at Noodle Lab. I loved all the food when I went to Taiwan a few years ago, so I was hoping the food here would remind me of it. Fortunately it did! I got N13 squid stick noodle soup with #3 noodle. The soup was thick, goopy and oh so flavorful. They gave a lot of squid which was bouncy and had a bite. The noodles were cooked nicely. The menu was extensive so it was hard to choose. But everything I tried (even my parties noodles and rice dish) was delicious. Other notes: The appetizers were decent. The booth seating is comfortable and the bathroom was clean and smell really nice. Even the flower decor was pretty. Staff was friendly and the atmosphere was really chill.

Street parking/ meter parking available. It's an establishment with 5 tables and bar seats. 8 different styles to choose from with sample dried noodles displayed in little boxes to help you to decided. We ordered: Fries ( curry ) flavored with curry powder. $6 They also offer seaweed and garlic flavor. Wonton noodles $11 Beef noodles $14 Beef and beef tendon noodles $16 Popcorn chicken $7 Spicy oil wonton $7.5 Braised minced pork over rice $6 Fries were crispy but not much curry flavor Wonton noodles were served with great flavored soup base in generous portion. Beef and beef tendons were very tender. Popcorn chicken was crispy and not too salty. Rice was the sticky kind which yielded texture. Customer service was superb. Place is well lit and tidy. Modern feel layout. Background music was mandarin songs. Recommendation: will return to try other dishes too.

I really enjoyed the fried chicken, it was crispy and smoky. the noodles had great flavors but i wish there was some protein that came with it as a dish. i wish the portion sizes were a bit bigger. the space was plentiful, can seat anywhere between party sizes of 1-6. nicely lit and clean.

Lovely Taiwanese eatery with a modern twist. Food imho could have a bit more depth flavor closer to authentic Taiwanese but the cleanliness, vibrant staff and very reasonable prices more than make up. Small interior of just five tables, one window counter and some bar seats so good chance of waiting during weekend peak hours.

This neighborhood spot is small but comfortable. It comfortably seats groups as big as 4-6, but I would highly recommend smaller groups or solo diners to come here for a casual meal. There are many options for the type of noodle one would like to eat with their soup base. This is a great spot for someone who prefers less salty foods in general. If you're looking to just satisfy, quick fix an Asian noodle craving you have, then this is the place. If you're looking for more authentic style and depth in flavor profile, I'd go somewhere else. The fried donut is a bit pricy to me for what it is, but it fills that sweet craving if you have one after your meal.

This is a nice place for a quick meal. It's a small restaurant with a lot of counter seating and a few big tables. They have a little tray at the table showing you the types of noodles the have. You can pick the meal you want and then select the noodle you want. They have a variety of appetizers to start your meal. Everything here is reasonably priced. All the food was tasty. We tried the sausage, tofu, popcorn chicken appetizers. Minced pork over rice, beef noodle dish. The wontons was more skin than filling. Had a frozen drink. It was ok, nothing special. Suggestion serve the food in have in the videos. The videos playing are quite interesting and inviting but you do not serve any of the items. Sushi, braised pig knuckles? Have a suggestion box. People buzz about things you are going right and what you can do to maximize space. Utilize the bar more? Your hours are not conducive to drinking..... Good luck with the restaurant!!!

Visited a friend in the area and she recommend this location. We got to pick out which type of noodles and soup for our meal. The space is small but it was not packed at all. The staff checked on us multiple times. Give 4 star because the soup lacked some flavor.

Newly opened so everything was clean and nice. I came on a Friday night at 6:30pm on opening week and it was packed. They didnt have a hostess to greet and take our names for a table. The layout of the restaurant is a bit weird. If they had arranged the booth seatings more strategically I think they could've accommodate more diners. They also should hire more workers as there were 2 ppl waiting on tables. But they did the best that they could and also they had to turn away customers at 7pm. They also stopped us from ordering too much. Kid friendly place as they also provided kiddie bowls and fork for the kids. Now onto the food, everything was delicious. Items ordered: fried pork chop noodles (great) popcorn chicken (great) braised tofu (too salty, didnt enjoy this too much) pork and mustard green noodles (great) braised minced pork dry noodles (good for kids) french fries (crispy, get the curry flavor) fried porkchop over rice (rice was not good, clumped together and overall mushy) braised beef noodles (great, get it with the mung bean noodles) spicy wontons (too small) I would come back again. It was also decent priced.

TLDR: New Chinese noodle shop in the Bayside Franny Lew area. Mostly Taiwanese fare. Very clean, good looking store. Noodle dishes are very customizable with a lot of different choices. Popcorn chicken tasty. I drove by this the other day and I was curious when they would open. Then I realized they are, so I stopped in for lunch solo. I like the design and the look of the place, very modern, super clean and nice servers. Got the Taiwanese Dry Noodle. Popcorn chicken, asked for extra spicy. Wonton in chili oil. Taiwanese dry noodle. This came with a soy-marinated egg, scallions, bean sprouts and I think onions that were caramelized out. Noodles were bouncy, I felt the sauce could have been a bit more flavorful or maybe it was missing more of a salty note. The onions were good but because it's cooked out, this was more sweeter than I like personally. The homemade hot sauce improved this but I still would have liked more salt for my palette. Popcorn chicken. I asked for extra spicy and they accommodated. Flavor and marinades were good, chicken was crispy. Not greasy which was good. Chili oil wontons. Decent, pretty presentation but not particularly memorable for me. All in all, the popcorn chicken I liked best. The TW Dry Noodle while not my favorite, I can see how people would like this. Overally I liked it enough and I will be coming back to try some of the other noodle dishes and/or the rice plates. There are 8 diferent types of noodles offered, they have a cool display box where you can see what they all look like.

Came here with my family around lunchtime time on a Saturday and had to wait a little. The place was pretty busy. It's a cute little place with limited seating. The food was just ok though. I got the pork chop over rice which came with broccoli and corn that I felt just came straight out of the packaging. Looking back on their old photos, they used to serve this with the default pickled radish and cabbage but not anymore. We also ordered the wontons that were just mediocre. Popcorn chicken wasn't bad. Portions were on the smaller side as well. Maybe their other items would have been better but I'm not sure. Just felt the flavors were lacking a little. They did have this delicious garlic sauce on the table that I ended up putting on everything though!

Luckily, there was only a short wait for our party of two at around 12pm...but I suspect the wait can be much longer later in the afternoon or during peak dinner times. Once your number is called, you go up some stairs to the eating/tabled area. There are tables and chairs for 2, 4 and more guests throughout the large space. The pace of the restaurant is very fast...as soon as you are seated, you are given tea and your waiter comes over right away to take any order you are ready to give. Its helpful to ask for a menu while you are waiting for a table so you know what to order when asked. We had some soup dumplings as well as a (large) soup. Everything was very good and out in about 15 minutes...very fast. The soup dumplings were great...but as expected are filled with piping hot broth so be careful when eating. They have some other appetizers and dishes available. There are also some drink options including cold teas, soft drinks and beer. Overall a great experience...despite visiting on a busy Saturday, we were in and out in about 40-45 minutes. Street parking can be tough in the area but there are a few garages around...one of the more reasonable options is the garage at the Skyview shops which currently charge about $6 for up to three (3) hours and is a short 5 minute walk away.

Would you like to be transported back in time to ancient china?…read more How about just testing your spice tolerance to see if you can hang with the best? Well, if you want all of that, PLUS hot pot, look no further - this is the place to be! There is a reason this is one of the highest recommend spots to visit when you're in Flushing. First off, entrance? SO UNASSUMING. It's like, the tiniest door, with no real obvious signage. Once you go through, you basically feel like you're in one of the ancient alleys of China - decor is 1000% great. We had a larger party of 7, and they were luckily able to accommodate us since we lined up a few minutes before opening on a Friday. We actually got IMO the best seats in the house - towards the back, elevated up on some steps, a mini pavilion essentially. But enough about the decor.. how was the food? Well.. GREAT! And honestly, for NYC prices, not too expensive (but a bit pricy for flushing I guess). The quality was top notch (highly recommend trying the mala quail eggs) and the spice of the broth was GREAT! We went with medium since our server (amazing btw, thank you Sean / Shawn / Shaun??) said that he can't even go near hot, it burns his eyes. Medium was just perfect - felt great eating it with some sweats, regretted it the day after, which means I couldn't have asked for a better experience! Meats were good quality, veggies were yummy. I wish the shrimp paste had more in terms of quantity, we barely had seven bites for each of us, but it was really good. Also, pro tip, probably don't order Napa Cabbage, a lot of their other dishes will sit on top of a whole leaf, so you'll probably get enough from that unless you want to consume half a head. Sauce bar is $2 a person - which might be shocking for some to know they charge it, but it's pretty much the norm at a higher end hot pot place in big cities. At least they don't charge $6-$8 like some places and only throw in a few apps/desserts to try to justify it. Overall, really loved this place, and would definitely go back.

I've never had them like that before anywhere, so it's definitely a chefs special. They were made crispy on the outside but soft and flavorful on the inside. Highly recommend. All the other dishes were also fantastic. Portions are also great, we ended up taking lots home. They gave us free dessert jellies which is also a classic Sichuan dessert; they also had a deal where you get free drinks if you order a certain amount of food, so we got two free drinks. I would have given a five star if not for the super long wait. Granted we did go for Christmas Day dinner. We saw them having to turn away lots of customers. They are super popular. Main issue is there isn't a number system, so getting a table felt a bit random; we considered ourselves lucky. Our servers were very friendly and nice. They told us it would be a bit of a wait, but this was the longest I've ever waited for food: 45 min before the first dish was served. We ordered 5 dishes with rice (forgot to take pictures of two of them). I wasn't told one of the dishes I ordered wasn't available until 30 min after I placed my order. But when the food did come, they all can't together so we didn't have to keep waiting. The servers were also attentive after despite how busy and clearly overwhelmed they were, which was really nice. In conclusion, great food with good portions for spice lovers. Very nice servers and try not to go on Christmas Day since it can get really busy.

The Beef Tenderloin in Brown Sauce is to die for. I loved the Minted Salted Egg Yolk and Sliced Pumpkin so much that I will come back here to order it for Thanksgiving dinner.
