N9. Chicken Curry Ramen*
Shavonne H.

Delicious!! This was my first time having ramen, and my friend suggested we go here, and I'm so glad we did! Noodle Blvd is located in a spot that you could easily miss, but it's easy to get back on track. I pulled into the gas station parking lot beside the restaurant, then just turned right into the restaurant parking lot. The parking lot is fairly small, so be warned about that. My friend was there when I arrived, and he sat at the bar. When I walked in the door, I was greeted with smiles and waves. It was very inviting, which is fitting for a ramen restaurant. My friend ordered us Lychee Margaritas, and oh my goodness, it was so good! We decided to visit right at opening on a Saturday, so the bartender was still preparing some of the ingredients needed for the margarita. The bartender informed us that it's usually better once a key ingredient sits for a while, but I loved the drink regardless. I ordered edamame for an appetizer, which came quickly and was good! Since I've never had ramen before, I asked our server what he recommended, and he told me about some of their most popular dishes. He told me the N9. Chicken Curry Ramen was a favorite of his and the patrons, so I decided to order that. It came quickly, and I was immediately in HEAVEN upon my first bite. I loved every bite after! I decided to play it safe with the spice and got level 2, but I can definitely go up a level or 2 since I love spicy. Highly recommend, and I will be back! Worth the drive from Clayton, where I live.

Noodle Boulevard delivered exactly the kind of comforting, flavorful meal I was hoping for. I ordered the Shoyu Ramen with Chashu Pork and an Ajitsuke Egg, and it was outstanding. The broth was rich and balanced, the pork was tender, and the toppings--bok choy, beansprouts, bamboo, onions, nori, and that perfectly seasoned egg--brought everything together beautifully. I did ask them to cut the meat up but they were "not able" to accommodate that request. Every bite felt warm, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared. The service was friendly and efficient, and the overall vibe of the place is fun and energetic. The music was a bit louder than I prefer, but it didn't take away from how good the food was. If you're craving a great bowl of ramen in a lively atmosphere, Noodle Boulevard is absolutely worth the stop.

The place has a good vibe, nice bar for a ramen place. Pork gyozas slightly warm, I would've like them hot. My hubby's pork ramen was good, I didn't try it. The duck ramen.......a ton of pork rinds which don't make any sense because they are soggy after a while, very rich, I removed them from the soup. Duck was OK, noodles cooked well, lots of fresh grated garlic, which took away from the broth taste. This is the best rated ramen in the area, unfortunately did not impress.

Rice in the rice dish was cold and stiff. Several in our group noted the ramen broth as sweet though preferred savory broth. Observed several staff on their phones while our orders were slow to arrive. Parking is limited. Don't park at the adjacent Waffle House.

N20. Hangover Ramen w/ Seafood

I ate here for my birthday dinner last month. It was so good! Our server was very kind and personable (and made a few jokes). I started with the Lychee Margarita - it was very tasty! For the appetizer we ordered Gyo-Za (meat)... we also ordered the Karaage chicken, but there was a miscommunication, so we didn't get that one. The Gyo-Za was good (pan seared). I ordered the Hangover Seafood Ramen (Spice Level 3)... it was so delicious!!! (Spice Levels range from 1 (no spice) to 6!) I was pleased with the spice, but I'm also someone who enjoys spicy foods! The ramen had muscles, shrimp, calamari, bok choy, shiitake mushrooms, and green onion. I sniffled through my meal (lol) but it was so good. It was a nice space, not too big, and even though it was very busy, we were seated almost immediately! (They had both indoor and outdoor seating) I will absolutely go back!

Noodles Blvd had the BEST ramen, I personally ever had. I recommend the Chicken Curry Ramen with good spice and bursts of excellent flavor. The chicken is seasoned perfectly. 5 stars, no contest.

Quickly seated and served water. After perusing menu ordered ginger tea and R6 Gyudon (sukiyaki beef) rice bowl. Ginger tea blew me away, sooo flavorful. Rice bowl was very large and very good. As I was solo seated at bar service was little lacking but place was very busy and moving items constantly. Look forward to trying soup bowl next. Definitely try ginger tea .

Hands down the best vegetarian ramen in the area!! I have been looking far in wide in the triangle area for vegetarian ramen especially with all the winter weather that keeps hitting us. I have finally found THE one. Noodle Boulevard is an unassuming place that's hard to find but you will be glad you did. There is plenty of parking and even though the inside looks small, they have fit many seats there. The menu had a vast array of appetizers, rice bowels and ramen. I got the vegetarian spring rolls and the Tofu Curry Ramen with udon noodles. The service is FAST. We were in and out within an hour. The spring rolls were fresh, you could tell they didn't use the frozen packs that many restaurants have. The Tofu Curry Ramen was packed with flavor. I got medium spice level and found it spicy, so watch out. But either way, I couldn't stop eating because it was savory, peppery and perfect richness. This restaurant is far from me, but I plan to make the trek again and again because the food is so worth it.

N3. Tonkotsu Ramen (w/ Marinated Pork Belly)

Several of my friends had recommended this place to me and I just got around to trying it. Let me tell you it was completely worth the wait. The Ramen is so customizable and they have great vegetarian and gluten-free options. I've traveled to Japan and had some amazing Ramen all over the world and I thought this Ramen was great. The broth was so flavorful and their spice level was perfect. My tiniest critique is that the pork in mine was 90% fat and 10% actual meat. The portion sizes are pretty large. Even on a weeknight the restaurant is pretty busy so if you're coming with a larger party of 4 to 6 people I would expect to wait. I'll definitely be coming back to try some of the other Ramen.

10/10 do recommend. The dishes are filled with so much flavor. I'm debating if I'm going back today. Give this place a try for authentic noodle cuisines

I completely understand why people rave about this place so much because after the first time I tried this place- I returned very shortly after. This is probably one of the best, if not THE best ramen spot in the area. Everything was a 10/10! Both times we went were really busy but luckily we still got seated immediately. If you are bigger than a party of 2 I would probably expect a wait. It is a small but cute restaurant with different bar seating and high-top tables. My friend is a huge fan of their vegetable ramen with the tom yum broth. For myself, I get the chicken curry ramen and add enoki mushrooms and corn. Please try this- you will not regret it. The broth is literally exploding with flavor and it was enough food to give me ramen for lunch the next day too. I will always be in the mood for this dish. For appetizers, we've tried the chicken yakitori, chicken karaage, shrimp shumai, croquettes, and spring rolls. I have no idea how they make those croquettes but I could probably eat 10 of them. They are so creamy and delicious and my friend and I were obsessed. Other favorites that we now re-order are the shrimp shumai and chicken yakitori.

Absolutely love Noodle Boulevard~ stumbled on this place by review searching a few years ago and it never disappoints. The older Asian lady who seems like an owner/manager is ever so kind, she's so warm and efficient. If you come here and think "wow, it's packed", just remember, they clear people out quite well, without the feel of rushing you. We are never deterred by how packed it is. The parking situation though is a bit cramped but you can always park down the hill by the other establishment. The fried enoki mushrooms are one of my favorite along with the Tonkatsu. What I also love about this place is they are very flexible on adding toppings. Location is great, its by lots of nearby shopping which makes for a great lunch break while youre in Cary. Overall, Noodle boulevard is always solid win. Actually except for the fact they are closed on Mondays (boo hoo), oh and also be mindful that they close during the day from 2PM - 5PM. Very important. I get frustrated when restaurants do this but hey I guess being the best, needs a break sometimes :)

N12. Beef Ramen, kimchi, and Thai tea
Katrina B.

We went shortly after opening on Saturday. It was packed!! We sat at the corner bar table right by the kitchen. I order the beef ramen with a spice level of 3. Whew!! I'm glad I tasted it before trying to add sriracha sauce. Level 3 was spicy enough for me. Everything was so flavorful and really good. My son had the duck ramen. He enjoyed it as well and he's a very picky eater. I will definitely come back and try more options!

Ask the Community - Noodle Boulevard

What is their house ramen?

They don't necessarily have a house ramen. They do have the "favorites" (shoyu, miso, tonkotsu, shio miso) and then "other" which includes duck, curry (vegetarian or chicken), seafood tom yum... If you go here, ask the waitress what she likes :) I…

What are the vegetarian options?

Lookup Noodle Boulevard on Yelp. Under Popular Dishes, scroll to the right to see an icon for Full Menu. You can see the dishes. You might want to ask them if they use meat to make the broth used in the dish you're interested, in case it matters.

Do they put milk in their soup? It gave my lactose intolerant kid stomach issues

I can safely say that none of the ramen noodle soups will have any milk in them. Their ramen are all pretty authentic and none of the top three popular Japanese ramen dishes (Miso, Shio, Tonkotsu) have milk in them!…

Their online menu is weird font, hard to read, so do they offer any bean-flour or sweet potato noodles?

I don't do wheat so the option was rice noodles. Excellent, but not what you're looking for.

The ramen here is AAAAMAZING! Easily the best I've found in the area and every time we've been here (which is 4 times) my brain shuts off and my ramen becomes my entire focus and I dive in. They have a great selection of sushi rolls as well. The servers are so sweet and they are ready to go as soon as you are. Another one of the reasons we love coming here. Appetizers are all great ways to start your experience. Literally everything you order will be served fresh and hot. The spicy garlic edamame and tonkotsu garlic ramen are my favorites. I get a side of chili paste and add it to my broth for an extra kick and it never disappoints. Sake and soyu choices are limited, but everything else about the place makes up for that! A dining session here will not disappoint! :) interior is designed well, booths slightly uncomfortable but the quality and service make you forget. Another random thing I have to say is that they have mouthwash in the bathrooms so that's an automatic 5 stars for me because most of the time when you get those rich broths and spices, our breaths can take a beating. It's there to freshen you up!!! I love that. See? Another way they look out and are there to assist their customers :)

It wasn't crowded, but it was doing a lot of takeout for a ramen spot (generally a food best enjoyed fresh). The mala ramen (a mix of spicy and tingly sensations) that I sought delivered on the premise. It was a fascinating flavor mix, with some harsh notes that would be a discovery for those that haven't had mala before working well because of the balance of salty and savory flavors and some nice greens and sweet corn. It was unique and I enjoyed it. They had some appetizers and things that I wasn't hungry enough for, but I did wash it down with tea. It was a very reasonable price given how the hipster ramen market has gone. And they had enough menu options that returning would be worthwhile. I ended up going to the other local ramen place anyway the next day, and I would say that both were really good. You can't go wrong.

We started with the edamame (my bell weather for food), which was super fresh, salty and large. Very good. Next we had the fried gyoza. Very crispy with a nice dipping sauce, also very good. For ramen, I had the spicy mala ramen. It had nice heat without being too oily. The shoyu ramen looked good, but didn't taste it... not really a sharing dish, lol. Our server was nice, the food was fresh, but still fairly quick, so with that and being full without being too full is nice.
