Lemongrass Chicken & Shrimp with Fried rice
Kenneth H.

I love this place! So happy I found it and one location is near my home. Both locations are dope! I've become addicted and come here more than I should. Great, quick service, the one in Seaside is a "to-Go" only so there's that. But the food is great! This area doesn't have many places that I'd frequent often but this surely is one of them! Plenty of food, I've told everyone at school about this place cause they have to have it at least once! I get the lemongrass chicken and shrimp vermicelli or with fried rice.

Disclaimers- cash only and no indoor dining. But parks, beaches nearby. Pull up to the nearest beach, eat with an amazing view! Now the food- massive portions, even regular size were stacked full, love it... Food was made with fresh ingradients- meat and vegetables. Sauce was not excessively salty, did not feel parched afterwards. Tip- Try their chili oil, spread it on rice and enjoy. Fresh rolls were crunchy, stuffing had flavor with fresh herbs and seasoning. the peanut sauce that comes with it is amazing! Lemongrass and chili chicken was juicy, flavorful with crunchy onions. Chowmein had plenty of meat and seasonal vegetables.

8.4/10 -- Great Pho and Quick Service! Tried this spot and was honestly impressed. I got the large chicken pho super light with an amazingly flavorful broth that really intensified the overall taste. Everything tasted fresh and clean. Service was fast and friendly, and the restaurant itself was well-kept and tidy. The only downside was that there's no dine-in option, so I had to eat in my car but definitely worth it.

Stopped by while working in the area. Restaurant seemed very busy with takeout orders. Good idea to call before going. I ordered BBQ chicken wings with rice. Dish was delicious and very reasonable price. Chicken had the taste of bbq along with maybe soy sauce and sautéed onions on top. Service is great and small restaurant kept clean.

Soooo I do recommended the lemongrass tofu but everyone else loved their food. The dry noodles bowl is basically a vermicelli plate complete with salad. I got the lemon grass tofu version but all the sauce leaked out and I was truly left with a dry dish...booo. I would try them again because of the fresh veggies and variety.

Great spot and the food did not disappoint. Broth was amazing and the whole thing was delivered incredibly fast. The garlic edamame was amazing. Would definitely recommend.

beef with onion and peppers

i always order this on marina every week, they always satisfy me. But i tried ordering on seaside because i was there. Look at the photo, you can't barely even see the beef. And the girl didn't even ask rice or noodles, i'm so disappointed.

Lemongrass chow fun overflowing and underneath veggie chow mein, also overflowing. With fried shrimp and egg roll in the bowl.

Just got off the phone with Noodle Bar after getting our take out. Just want to say how incredible this place is top to bottom. Service is always great, the food is made with love and hot hot for pickup. So appreciate the staff there. I will add photos later, but the dishes cannot be beat, especially today when everything is so expensive! We just got food from here on Friday and we're back again today. We will both take servings from both main dishes (lemongrass beef chow fun and vegetable chow mein) and it won't look like it's even touched. Still overflowing. And we can eat. Their fried shrimp is always on our order, and their egg rolls are fantastic. So appreciate noodle bar! Thank you, Keary & Jon

Lemongrass Beef with Vermicelli

Good atmosphere, fast-paced but comfortable. The Seafood Soup was good, not a lot of vegetables in there but the large is a good portion to keep you full for a while. The Lemongrass Beef is okay, the beef barely tastes like lemongrass and the noodles were a little overcooked, barely any bean sprouts, but the lettuce was good and fresh, good sauce and they use cilantro to garnish. The service was good, friendly, polite and efficient. Would come here again to try something different.

No spice wings

I ordered the 5 spice wings based on reviews and I got no spice wings. They were just plain fried wings. So disappointing

Guemmer M.

The pho here is so comforting and flavorful. The broth is rich but not too heavy, and the noodles have a great texture. The fresh herbs add the perfect touch, making it one of my favorite meals.

Do they have pandan waffles?

Are there any vegan options?

They have veggie tofu stir fries and a vegetarian menu that you can change up for your preference. You'd have to check with them if they use chicken broths, but I believe their tofu stir fry items are, you can ask them to use only soy sauce or non…

Right before we arrived at the restaurant, my 3-year-old daughter had fallen and hit her head on the cement. Unfortunately, I didn't get the name of the wonderful older Asian woman who helped us, but I hope she somehow sees this review. She was incredibly attentive and kind. She had us sit down while we waited, brought my daughter ice and bandaids for her head, and continued to check on her throughout our time there. Before we left, she even came back to check on my daughter one more time. It may have seemed like a small gesture to her, but in that moment, it meant so much to us. It's the kind of kindness you don't forget. The food was delicious and the service was wonderful. If she happens to read this, thank you so much for taking care of my daughter and for being so incredibly kind to us. We truly appreciate you.

Judging by the name and playful monkey mascot, Cong N Go may not look like a spot serving up seriously delicious and flavorful SE AZN cuisine BUT they are! Owned by two Cambodian sisters, one holds it down in the FOH while the other is cheffing it up in the kitchen. Indoor seating but they have dog-friendly outdoor seating upon request (two tables). F O O D * Sach Ko Jakak: Cambodian Beef Satay (3 pc-$14) The marinated, tender beef skewers were sweet-savory with aromatic lemongrass flavor and nicely charred, slightly crisp edges. I forgot to ask if they offer sticky rice but it would've been the ideal accompaniment. * Fried Chicken Wings w/ jeow som dipping sauce, rice ($18) Perfectly done, the massive whole chicken wings were shatteringly crunchy on the outside and juicy inside. The "crack sauce" (jeow som) was bright and punchy, hitting all the right notes...salty, tangy, sweet, garlicky, and slightly spicy. Served with steamed rice and fresh veggies. * Kuy Teav Cha: Cambodian Stir-Fried Noodles w/ pork, shrimp ($18) Savory, slightly sweet, and umami, the soft, chewy rice noodles came with tender pork, shrimp, and a boiled egg. Raw bean sprouts, cilantro, green onions, and peanuts brought welcome freshness and crunch for a well-balanced dish. S E R V I C E Friendly, attentive, and prompt. Overall, Cong N Go is such a gem in Monterey County for deliciously satisfying and flavorful SE AZN food. Def recommend if you're coming from the SF Bay Area and craving AZN comfort food during your staycation. As I was leaving, I was eyeing their housemade pandan coconut chiffon cake in the cold case...which gives me an excuse to return!

Thanks to my YouTube habit, I found this quaint, tiny, family-run Korean grocery in a travel video on inexpensive meals in Monterey. The travelers praised the freshness of the ready-to-eat refrigerated banchan dishes and the just made kimbap rolls availabe for purchase on the checkout counter. Perfect for my use case. I parked on the street around the corner which was easy to find & free for 2 hours. The store is small and packed with anything you can imagine from an Asian grocery. The upright cold cases are toward the back left, and the frozen proteins are in a deep freezer near the checkout counter. When I arrived around 1pm on a summer Tuesday, no one was in the store, but I could hear Korean voices in conversation from the back room. I did my shopping in the banchan case (pickled cucumber & kelp salad - yum!) then poked my head through that open doorway to ask, "May I purchase kimbap?" The grandmother / proprietor jumped up to say, "Sure! Are you ready to check out?" The plastic-wrapped roll was about 7-8 inches long and stuffed with typical kimbap ingredients: nori, rice, krab, carrot, daikon, tofu). A filling meal for me at $2. With my $4 salad, the whole cost was $6 and I had leftover salad for picnicking the next day. Sorry, I failed to take any pictures (bad Yelper!), but if you've ever had ready-to-eat foods from a Korean grocer, you know what to expect.
