They ended up charging nearly $700 and the invoice had no amounts listed for each task which is deceiving. I fell for those glowing albeit suspicious 5 star reviews that overshadow the negative ones. Make sure they tell you the prices up front. Had I known all the other charges they added after they got here, I would have never booked them. I love supporting local businesses, but not ones that knowingly take advantage of people by not being upfront with costs so we can make an informed decision. No mention of any other fees when I made the appointment. I called several other locksmiths after to check and sent pictures and was not quoted more than $200 to $250 all in for what they charged nearly $700 for. They took advantage. I now notice they arent BBB accredited and I understand why bc that requires a company to "operate honestly and with integrity" along with 8 other standards and when you bait and switch people that wouldn't be possible.

None of his roommates were home, awake, or answering their phones, so I was starting to panic a little. From the start, the staff were incredibly patient and kind. They gave me a reasonable quote right away and said they could have a technician there within an hour. The technician called me as soon as he was on his way, and his ETA was only 15 minutes! In the meantime, we found out that one of the roommates could come let us in. I called back to cancel, fully expecting to still pay a $89 service fee since the technician was already on his way and almost there. To my surprise, they told me not to worry about it and canceled everything at no charge! The entire experience was so easy, and every interaction was quick, friendly, and professional. Even though I ended up not needing their services, I was genuinely impressed by their kindness and customer service. Truly night and day compared to other locksmiths I've dealt with in the past. I would absolutely recommend them and will definitely be calling them again if I ever need a locksmith!

I didn't even know if I had money in my wallet before I started dialing . They answered immediately. I'm sure I sounded a little frantic, and when I asked how long it would be, the gentleman told me he'd be here in an hour, give or take. I know he heard me really start panicking then, and he asked if that was okay. I told him what was happening & that the man had just left the house and I didn't know when he'd be back. The gentleman from A-1 said, "I'll be right there. " and he was. He was in and out in less than 15 minutes and not only that, but the entire time he's frantically working as fast as possible, he was also consoling me. I now have new locks, what I'm hoping will be the start of a new life and for the first time in more than a year, I think I might actually be able to sleep tonight. He went out of his way to help me, he supported and reassured me. He did more for me today than the police ever have. From the bottom of my heart, thank you A-1!

I recently bought a new single family home in a Chicago neighborhood that isn't as established as…read moreLincoln Park, Lakeview, or Northcenter, or certainly any of the north shore suburbs. It's a huge house that my fiance will be working from home in, and it will hopefully be the home of future children. The security of my new family is extremely important, as is my piece of mind. I have heard that Keyth was the best, so I called them up to ask for a consultation and for a change of the locks. I somehow get transferred to Keith Fisher, the owner of the company, who asks me a number of questions about my family situation, who's in the house, etc. (seemed like small talk), and he scheduled the locksmith. On the day of my move, a keyth truck pulled up and changed the locks as scheduled, great service; no issues. I figured that would be the end of it until a subsequential meeting was scheduled. Not so. A few minutes later, in walks Keith Fisher, the owner of the company. Keyth is a big company, and this was a Saturday. He told me that it was important to him that my new family gets off to a secure start so he wanted to personally be involved in my home. It was a Saturday...I believed it to be sincere and I do to this day. He personally walked through every aspect of the house, showed me each of the vulnerabilities my house had, and presented the optimal security program that protected my needs. It included ulterior lighting plans in my garage and yard, smartphone compatability, re-enforced door locks, glass shattering detectors on the windows, and he explained best practices of how i should enter and exit my home. I had him proceed with everything he recommended. It was extremely valuable and I can honestly claim that my house is now virtually inpenetrable, and as secure as possible. Talk about piece of mind! I feel like the price was fair, and he offered flexible payment terms. This type of service cannot be replicated by Comcast or AT&T. The experience really opened my eyes to the fact that each home is different and your home is not secure just because you slapped a system in it that you saw on TV. These guys are the best. I highly recommend them. Also, the service of the installation, support team, and billing department has been great. This was a great experience and fully worthy of a 5 star review.
