Another Yelper commented that their visit was like walking into Cheers and we totally echo that! Fast forward to today, we own a car and decided it was time to find a more local option. After visiting Hawks View this past weekend I can say we've accomplished that and then some. This place sits firmly in the sweet spot of not being too "dinky" or small and not being too stuffy or corporate. I know we all have our preferences, I just like for my environment to be laid back or relaxed. The wines are fantastic here. Keep in mind, I'm no connoisseur of fine wine but I do know good from bad. Beyond the wine, we love this place due to the view (of course) but also the fact you can parlay your wine allocation pick up with a rotating menu of food. Makes for a great little weekend getaway or drive in the car.

My coworker requested a well-done burger, while I ordered a regular burger along with a bowl of tomato basil soup and a house salad. Approximately 30 minutes passed before our meals arrived. When the food was served, we discovered that the burgers had been prepared incorrectly. My coworker's burger was cooked medium-rare instead of well-done, and we ultimately had to swap burgers to correct the issue. Additionally, another table that was seated after us was served, finished their meal, and left the restaurant before we received our food, which added to our frustration with the overall dining experience. I had lunch earlier last week with other coworkers and the service was way better and that was a party of 12. Which made me come back.

She completely ignored us as we stood in the foyer, obviously waiting to be seated. If you're going to work in hospitality, at least be cordial. We finally were taken care of by Sam who made up for our initial impression. Sam was warm, friendly, and hospitable which complimented the great wines we tasted. There wasn't a bad wine in the bunch. The zucchini bites were a tad bland but the cheese/charcuterie made up for it. Beautiful facility, views, and great wines.
