My friends and i had such a lovely experience at Alloro. We were a large party, but it still felt intimate and personal. Our server Jamie was attentive and knowledgeable. We had lunch and did a mix of tastings and glass pours, all were superb. The view and surroundings are hard to match. A definite must see!

Terrible experience at Alloro Vineyards. A few days ago, as non-members, we spent $230 on wine and charcuterie. We loved the wine and came back to buy more. This time, the staff rudely told us we couldn't get bottle service or buy bottles to go because we weren't members. This was never mentioned before. It felt like we were being treated unfairly and discriminated against. Very inconsistent service and a huge disappointment. Avoid this place! -

I was here as part of a group of six and we all had the tasting flight. We also ordered three appetizers (mushroom & cheese dip, pork & tonnato, and burrata) which were all good and I recommend. While I wanted to love it, I can't say I'll be back. The venue is beautiful and gets high marks in that regard. Martin was our server and he soured the experience for me from the start. He asked if we were members and we said no. Someone in our party said, "not yet" and rather than being inviting and welcoming, his response was rather off putting, which colored the rest of my experience. We tasted four wines and I enjoyed the Estate Pinot Noir and the Riservata Pinot Noir. Martin did make us an offer to revisit any wine we liked and a couple in our party did so I'll give him credit for that. However, overall Alloro didn't hit the mark for me.

After a data-filled few days of work training, we rewarded ourselves with a wine tasting. Our host recommended Alloro Vineyard and made a reservation. The drive itself to the vineyard was beautiful. The vineyard views - STUNNING. The tasting house, with its high ceilings and tall floor to (almost) ceiling windows gave a great, bright view and coziness at the same the time. I chose the Estate Flight - since those were made at the vineyard; the other option was a speciality flight, Italian. Four wines were included, and our server gave great notes and insight on the wine. We paired our tasting with a beautiful charcuterie board - full of cheeses, meats, mustard & jams. I had never had a Bianco di Nero and I'm in love - I thought long and hard of getting a bottle!

Visited here for wine tasting while on vacation in Portland. It's a great place to go if you want to see some of Oregon's wine country without having to go too far from the city. The property was beautiful, because of Covid you couldn't really walk around but you could see some of the garden and see the goats if they were by the fence. We also did not get to spend much time inside the tasting room but what we did see was very pretty. Due to Covid we had our tasting outside on the crush pad. This was a beautiful spot because we were right next to the vines and in the shade. The service was also amazing! I called ahead to make a reservation and they made it so simple and were very friendly. Everyone was fantastic about wearing a mask and keeping their distance. Our tasting room associate did a wonderful job telling us about the wines, vines, and the property. I would definitely come here often if I lived in the area.

Transported to Tuscany, that's how I feel every time I visit Alloro, one of my absolute favorite vineyards anywhere. The red tile roofs of the adobe buildings in the villa, the iron gates and hydrangeas surrounding the main house, the sculptural Italian gardens with multiple conversation areas overlooking the vineyards - it's simply divine! As soon as I arrive I'm filled with calm and tranquility - and that's before I have any of their delicious wine!!! Just 30 minutes from Portland, it's an easy and beautiful ride. The rolling hills and garden is beautiful in every season so I come often. Whenever friends come to visit from out of state, like this past weekend, this is the first place I take them. They are always blown away! I've never done the underground tasting in the cave because I like sitting in the open garden. In colder weather we hang inside by the fireplace. Friends of mine are members and I've gone with them several times. I've been treated the same whether I'm with members or on my own. While I like their whites, their Pinots are my favorite. I do wish their pours were a little more generous. For an upcoming birthday, one that ends in a zero - so you know it's significant - I'm considering hosting a party here. My family was from Italy and I can think of no better place to celebrate such a milestone than at a charming Italianesque vineyard a stones throw from Portland.

So glad we chose this place as my first vineyard experience as it was a truly fun afternoon . I reserved a week in advance because post Covid weekends can be a very risky business , especially with everyone out and about during the summers , its fairly hard to get a seat on the spot without having to wait for a long time .The online reservation was easy and I mailed them a day and time that I was hoping to come in and they reserved and sent me a conformation of the same. Its a great place to start if you want to explore Oregon`s wine country without having to go too far from the city . We got the seats on their outdoor patio in the shade and even though it was a hot sunny afternoon , the heat wasn't much in the patio . There were a couple seats in the open with umbrellas put in and those looked like great spots too. They have an indoor tasting room as well which was really pleasant and spacious . The views are stunning , there are vines as far as the eyes can see and rolling hills all along the horizon . The staff was fantastic and answered all our questions very proficiently . Loved how chatty yet informative she was about the wines and talked with a lot of passion when we asked her about the wine making process .The tasting menu is reasonably priced and that's what we tried that afternoon .They have four different wines and a fifth one of your choice or their choice . ,depending on your preference . I am definitely going back as this gorgeous place ,really needs to be enjoyed more .

Sheep, pretty black goat, and lambies!

They were very sweetly accommodating of our desire to sit outside -- despite the chilly weather -- offering us Pendleton blankets for our laps. The wines were excellent -- we fell hard for the Bianco di Nero and ended up with a bottle (almost two), even though we are not big wine drinkers. The bruschetta was absolutely delicious, both kinds! The woman who walked us through our flight and offered info about the vineyard/farm was great. The farm is stunning, with gorgeous views, and the gentle bleat of sheep (there were a couple baby sheep that we were directed to! Squee!). The very manicured gardens by the tasting room were pretty and had some gentle burbling fountains. They also have some Adirondack chairs to overlook the sheep fields (in better weather) on a lower grassy terrace. Definitely a more traditional experience, and made for a nice balance with our second winery stop.

This is a stunning property and the wines offer sophisticated, affordable luxury. Try the 2019 Riservata pinot noir. Refined. An instant Chehalem Mountain AVA classic. Not to trash the big name chateaus in area but this is the vineyard and tasting room that gets it very, very right.

    Beautiful table setting.

Visited last Sunday for a friend's birthday. Everything was flawless and perfect. It was a group of 6 and we were hosted by Danny who was fantastic and welcoming. Highly recommend. It's the Gucci of wineries IMO.

Fast forward to today, we own a car and decided it was time to find a more local option. After visiting Hawks View this past weekend I can say we've accomplished that and then some. This place sits firmly in the sweet spot of not being too "dinky" or small and not being too stuffy or corporate. I know we all have our preferences, I just like for my environment to be laid back or relaxed. The wines are fantastic here. Keep in mind, I'm no connoisseur of fine wine but I do know good from bad. Beyond the wine, we love this place due to the view (of course) but also the fact you can parlay your wine allocation pick up with a rotating menu of food. Makes for a great little weekend getaway or drive in the car.

We had the white and OG flatbreads and both were delicious. Bigger than expected so we wound up taking one home. The hummus plate was also delicious and the gazpacho was the best I have ever tasted! Now on to the wine flights. We both had flights which they let us customize. We both loved all the wines we tried and we both bought a few bottles to take home. It is unusual for me to like all the wines anywhere so it was a nice surprise. We finished our meal and moved outside with a glass of the Reserve Chardonnay to relax on the lawn. The service was a tad slow - perhaps because they had a trainee that day? Hopefully, when I go again, and I will, the service will be a bit faster.

The excitement began during the drive up to the tasting room from the roadway, where incredible views across the valley took my breath away. The clear vistas on the fall day were gorgeous, with much of the Cascade Range in view. Once inside, we were greeted in a warm, bright space that felt comforting and familiar. There was football on, views galore, and plenty of fascinating Oregon history and wine country information - a true space for anyone! Mary was our server (I think), and she was very helpful for the entire journey. It was great to learn so much about the history of the land and the current owners. I enjoyed tasting the variety of wines produced on the property and nearby, and I definitely preferred the rosé blend and the Chardonnays. If you are a fan of Pinots, you will like them, too, but the aromas and flavors are slightly tamer than my preference for bright fruit and spice notes. We also ordered a charcuterie board, and the crew was very accommodating to all of our needs. We spent some time walking the grounds, too, and I can absolutely see myself returning to drink some rosé by the pool in summer.

Our host explained they use regenerative farming and winemaking processes. Their wines are aged in clay amphora casks, something we had never heard of, which imparts unique, earthy characteristics. Since the clay allows for a slow oxidation, the wine has softer flavors without the oak derived butter, vanilla and spice flavors. It's a middle ground between the oxidation of oak bottles and the more sterile stainless steal. We enjoyed the education and the wines! Would love to come back in the spring or summer for the full Garden Cottage experience. Since this is a small, family owned winery, tastings are by appointment only. Their website has the link.
