Visited this establishment for the first time at the location in Belleville. I found out that this is a chain and that they are individually owned. I was hesitant to come here because I did not care for the food at the location in Randolph, but I felt the food here was a bit better. The other location has closed. We ordered drinks and my Appletini was delicious. My cousin enjoyed her strawberry daiquiri. The drinks were very strong and I could not finish the second one as I had to drive home at some point. For appetizers, we ordered the Chicharron, which is fried pork rind. I felt they were a bit overfried. We also ordered Montaditos, which are tostones (fried green plantain) and each one came with a topping. The toppings were avocado, chicken, beef and shrimp. The avocado was very good. I felt the chicken was a little bit dry and a bit tasteless as was the shrimp. We requested garlic oil condiment and we were charged extra for it. For my meal, I ordered the Pargo, which is a fried red snapper. It had good flavor and was also very big. I could have shared it. My cousin ordered pechuga marinara. She liked it. I didn't taste it. It was shrimp in a creamy sauce over chicken. Though my fish was good, I felt it was a bit overpriced. All in all, food was decent. What annoyed me is the credit card fees that they charge. These charges started right after Covid. I used to think that pushing the charges on the consumer was not allowed. They also add 15% gratuity, though I didn't see this listed on the menu. I check my bill thoroughly so I caught it. I normally leave 20-25% gratuity so I did give extra money as the waiter was great and very attentive. The place had live Spanish music and karaoke, though I didn't stay for it. Would I visit again? Maybe, just not running there anytime soon.

Bread that doesn't consistently have enough cheese

I've been to Noches several times to pick up some of their bread. We get pan con queso. Sometimes it's amazing. Sometimes there's barely any cheese. We went with my husband and his family this week and enjoyed a sit down dinner. The food was pretty good overall but the experience was a bit mixed and highlights some of the inconsistencies I noticed with just their bread. I ordered the Pechuga en Crema de Cilantro (grilled chicken breast topped with creamy coriander sauce). It was well cooked but over sauced. It came with a large salad that had no dressing. We shared a calamari appetizer. I found it unseasoned and tough (but my nephew gave it five stars). My mother-in-law ordered pork. It was mostly gristle unfortunately. My nephew had the fried tilapia and he loved it (it looked great too). Tostones accompanied all our food. They were excellent. The service was good, and fairly quick. Portions were great (and good value). There were just too many inconsistencies to warrant a higher rating.

Went to Noches de Colombia the other night with a friend. I had to been to another location before, but this was my first time at the Belleville location. The waiter was very nice and helpful. The food was delicious! I got arroz con pollo. I was surprised when I got a side salad, but not upset. I also ordered a side of maduros, which were so sweet and yummy. My friend got a salad that was delicious as well. Definitely need to go back!

What I love about Noches is you don't have to speak Spanish to order their good. Part of the reason they're so successful is because they have pictures throughout the menu so you know exactly what you're ordering. Food is great and plenty of it is served! The drinks are spot on too with plenty of options to get you nice and buzzed! Plan to spend about $12 on an alcoholic drink and about $16 on a plate.

This place was amazing. The service was great and they were very friendly and helpful. But the food was incredible. I had the Bandeja Paisa and I was impressed. The pork belly was so crunchy and tasty. What topped the night was the Pan De Bono. It was like tasting something that fell from heaven. It's a must have. @raulvsfood on Instagram

I enjoyed coming to this location. The staff was friendly and we were sat right away. The food here is super good and it filled me up. But of course there was room for dessert and the lava cake recommendation did not disappoint. The sampler had so much and each item was deliciousss. The mar y Tierra was good too. The music vibes was interesting as there was a woman who was singing/ doing karaoke by herself. The music played in between her songs was good. Id come again.

I order the food online. We waited over an hour and a half and I called to check the status of the order. Was told they never got the order. I explained it was charged to my credit card. They tell me it will be reverse because the order was not put through probably because the credit card number was put wrong. I told them that didn't make sense as it wouldn't I have been process if it had not been put in correctly. At this point to argue with me telling me that it's impossible because I don't have the order so I decide to go in person they once again tell me that even though showing in my credit card as charge because it's "pending" must mean that the order number one through. I tell them that I'll make a smaller order than the original I had made it and I'll charge it a separate card and then I'll call Bank and make sure that they cancel the previous charge. They agreed that this would work.. The manager comes to me and tells me they found the original order that they place online and then want to original that what it was for $115 they tell me they're going to cancel the lesser order I just made which was $90. I'm Dumb enough to agree I take the bag of food that they gave to find out that they didn't give me all of the food. The stole me out of 20 worth of food. On top of it all I has rider skirt steaks medium well. They were burned and aweful. I am sharing a picture of them. I didn't even bother calling. I have no intentions of returning. It's a loss and am moving on. I am only posting this to help others not find themselves in the same situation. The food is expensive and not that great. The service was terrible. I have order several times and somehow there is always a problem. Save your money. Go somewhere else.

    Bandeja paisa

Friday night dinner at this place. This is the 3rd time that I've been to one of the Noches de Colombia restaurants. This one is the one located in Belleville. The food was good but it was actually a little cold. For some weird reason the other times I've been to Noches in different locations their food always seems to be kind of cold.

Second thing, the food was amazing, but there is a long wait which is totally fine, it is worthy but they must inform us that the wait will be lo no which they did not, this way we can kinda prepare and not be upset maybe get some extra apps. Overall the food is definitely what saves the place and you can bring your own wine which is great. They do not serve alcoholic beverages.

My husband and I came to Mr. Esquisito for a Friday night date around 7:00 p.m. We didn't need a…read morereservation, which was nice. The restaurant is small, seating only about 25-30 people, creating an intimate atmosphere. However, the lighting is so dim that I had to take a second look just to read the menu. I'll start with the positive: our waiter was wonderful--friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind. My only criticism was that he couldn't really recommend a standout dish when we asked what the restaurant was known for. For appetizers, I ordered the octopus. Unfortunately, it was inconsistent. Half was perfectly tender, while the other half was so tough it was difficult to chew. It was served over an ajillo sauce that was good, but not enough to save the dish. My husband ordered empanadas. The steak filling was much better than the chicken. He asked if he could order one steak, one shrimp, and one chicken, but was told they don't allow mixing flavors. For my entrée, I ordered the ribeye with white rice and beans and added a lobster tail with butter sauce. The ribeye itself was cooked well, but the sides were disappointing. The beans had a strange flavor, and the rice was mushy and completely lacked seasoning. The lobster tail was fine, but nothing special. The ribeye was $58, and adding the lobster tail brought the plate to $72. At that price point, I expected an exceptional meal, not one where the sides were the weakest part of the plate. My husband ordered the skirt steak with peppers, French fries, and maduros. His steak was good, but we both agreed the side options felt like an odd combination. The menu could definitely use some more thoughtful pairings. We boxed up our leftovers, but unfortunately the food didn't even reheat well the next day. Our bill came to $233 for two people. On top of that, gratuity was automatically added, and there was a $10 fee for paying with a debit card. That was an unpleasant surprise and made an already expensive meal feel even more overpriced. For over $200, I expect to leave saying, "I can't wait to come back." Instead, I left feeling like I had paid Manhattan prices for a very average meal. Unfortunately, this wasn't the experience we were hoping for, and I don't think we'll be back. FYI: everything says M/P on it for Market Price. Which means they can charge you what they see fit which gives me an inconsistent vibe.

The exterior dining area has an authentic tropical vibe with a cascade to the side. The interior dining room also has the same feel; the decor includes additional palm trees and Cuban cigar boxes. The Latin American themed background music enhances the atmosphere making me believe I was actually in Cuba. There are no physical menus available. Scan the QR code at each table to view a full menu directly from your device. I actually think this is an excellent idea because there were illustrations for every entrée and side. Manager Joe introduced himself and offered a free virgin piña colada sample. (This location is BYOB.) It was on the thicker side and very creamy. The mocktail is on the pricier side, but it is served in a full size pineapple; I'm definitely planning to order it for a future visit. The angus beef picaña was an excellent portion. The serving size was overwhelming, which is definitely a good problem. I was able to make two leftover meals out of it. The steak was served piping hot and the meat was unbelievably juicy. It included a mango pico de galo and creamy garlic sauce. Although I didn't care for the taste of the pico de galo, the garlic sauce satisfied my taste buds on all counts. It included two sides of my choice. There was a variety of choices and the only problem I had was choosing because I wanted to try them all. I decided to explore the yuca frita and arroz moro. They were the backbone to this plate. While I was dining, a photographer was approaching tables. I don't recommend this service, unless you are dressed to impress for a large gathering or memorable event. Cuban Pete's is on the pricier side, but the food quality is excellent and the portions are enormous. I highly recommend this Latin restaurant on all counts. #cubanpetes #montclairnj #angusbeefpicana
