chicken exquisito Pechuga con Camarones

Went here recently and had a really frustrating experience. When we arrived, there was no host and we had to wait before anyone acknowledged us. After being seated, it took about 20 minutes just to get drinks. When we finally ordered, we were told they didn't have what my mom wanted (15 after we had placed our order) so she had to choose something else. A lot of items were listed as "MP" (market price), so we could not even know what the dishes cost until after we got them (???) The food took about an hour to come out. It was actually really good, but the service completely ruined it. We kept asking for drinks and basic things, and they never came. It also wasn't busy, which made it worse. At the end, they even charged us for an extra dish we didn't order, and we had to catch it ourselves. Overall, between the slow service, poor communication, and billing issues, I wouldn't come back.

Was really excited to try this restaurant due to the hype, but reality didn't quite match. Nestled in a busy street you'll have to find parking on adjacent side streets. The inside of the restaurant is small, but they were able to accommodate 7 hungry men in the back which was pleasant. It's a BYO spot so we brought in several wine bottles and they were kind enough to bring us glasses and a wine opener. We went with the garlic wings and tostone steak guacamole sliders. The appetizers were the best part. Our mains were a Tomahawk Steak, Fried red snapper, and a skirt steak. The churrasco was mediocre best, didn't come out Medium Rare which is how we ordered it and thr taste just wasn't quite there. We ordered a variety of sides since each dish comes with 2 options. Some of our sides included rice, beans, tostones, Maduros, and French fries. Again, the sides were also better than the meat. The fried fish however was fantastic! Very crunchy consistency from the batter, reminded me of chicarrones. For dessert I ordered the pistachio tart which seemed like it was store bought and not homemade. Halfway through eating the tart, the waitress let us know that tres leches was available. I wish I knew that beforehand!

This place was absolutely insane! Insanely delicious. Every single thing we ordered was a hit. It was my cousins birthday and she ordered the chuleta that comes hanging from the bone with mofogo on the side smothered in a white garlic sauce. We got two of those actually. I ordered the tostones sliders, yo they were soooo good. The fried cheese was mad good and the salami was thick and juicy.. We also ordered the fried seafood rice that came in a lobster It was huge honestly and sooo good, also came with a tasty sauce on the side. The drinks were refreshing and au natural. Don't even think twice about pulling up here, as a matter of fact you're late!

Food was great, beautiful, Clean and quiet atmosphere. I thought it was a bit too quiet and empty especially for 9p on a Saturday Night. I was hoping for a little more music, people and lively atmosphere. Service was attentive and fast. Presentation and flavors of the food were excellent. Prices were not too bad, but I didn't like how most of it said "MP" "market price", always feels like it should mean "making up the price as you go". The portion sizes seemed rather small at first, but really filled you up, So...Great job, will be back!!!

Let me tellllllll you! This place ... whew.. impeccable My cousins and brother brought me here for my birthday and I was IMPRESSIVE. You walk into a beautiful decorated space. The staff was extremely friendly. They answered all of our questions and even made some adjustments to our dining experiences NOW the food. Honestly my mouth is watering right now reminiscing of the meal. We all tried different dishes and everyone dish was * chef's kiss * Churrasco Guacamole Sliders 10/10 - but if you're sharing with more than two people definitely do not recommend the size lol get two ! Chuleta Exquisita !!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU MUST TRY .. there are no words just We also got this lobster dish but I can't remember the name. I took a picture, show them & try it it's amazing ! I willlll be coming back

First time here. We visited on a Friday night, it was very quiet, only a few tables were busy. We were seated and ordered right away. Appetizer: (no on the menu because it's a new dish) Tostones con churrasco y guacamole. Entree: Churrasco con camarones arroz blanco y habichuelas. Con salasa roja al ajillo. (Skirt steak with shrimp white rice red beans and a side of creamy red garlic sauce) Mofongo de pollo con salsa roja al ajillo. (Mofongo (which is Mashed green plantain) with chicken in creamy red garlic sauce) All was delicious. I will come here again

Food is super delicious. Great service . It's a little expensive, but it's worth it

A wonderful experience! We heard great reviews and decided to come check it out. There is plenty of metered parking spots. We were greeted by william and he was our server , he was amazing! We ordered appetizers - ceviche and churrasco tostones with guac it was VERY Flavorful. We both ended up getting churrasco, the temperature and flavor was on point exactly what we ordered. Our sides were rice , maduros and beans. Very good. We will definitely be returning to try out other options . Their passion fruit juice was natural.

I've been dying to try this place. Got an Instagram pop ad as advertise. Pics looked really good. Especially Tomahawk steak. That's why I went. I called before hand and asked if they had it. By the time I got there was sold out. No biggie, went w Ribeye and lobster tail combo. Let's start with ambiance: Place has a decent set up. TV's on the wall. Decent music. Grey walls as neutral color. Food : was a little disappointed, I asked for medium well, came out RAW.. pics to follow. Lobster tail was great. Platanos were amazing, steak was honestly terrible. Now for the thing they need to work on the most. Service was god awful. I mean terrible is being nice. I see why they add gratuity to the check. Because honestly they would not make money. Guy and girl team. Both understood little to no English. Honestly I was excited about this spot, but it's a one and done for me. Was hoping for a better out come, but the service was that bad.

Flan

I'm back. After my spectacular first visit I returned to sample the rest of their menu. Needless to say it was Delectable The appetizer was so good ( tostones were freshly made, the chicharrón was crisp and the repollo with their special sauce was the topping of this ). Now on to the main dish. Have you ever had a Churrasco that didn't need any Chimichurri sauce, well you've come to the right place. It was cooked to perfection & very well seasoned. The yellow rice and maduros were again perfect. But to end this delicious meal, the flan was the perfect choice. Perfectly balanced and so creamy. Sadly, no alcohol is sold here but I go old school and have the Limónada to bring back my childhood memories. All in all, William always makes sure everything is done to perfection!! So if you want great quality food accompanied by some of our Latin music, Mr. Exquisito is were you want to eat.

Checking in again!!!!! This time the wire and I decided to play hooky from work and come dine in. The food was beyond amazing and the travel was well worth it. I will continue to be a customer here as long as the food and authenticity stays the same.

It was our first visit to the restaurant. We tried both mussel appetizers - baked and ceviche style. The mussels were huge and plump and perfectly clean. The mussels were as big as oysters! The ceviche style was bright and citrusy. The baked mussels were bathed in a rich red sauce, slightly spicy and smoky. We also shared the Octopus appetizer, beautifully charred and coated with a delicious savory glaze, served with crispy herb roasted potatoes. The chef also provided a preview of a new dish that will be added to the menu soon - a Tiradito (ceviche) featuring salmon and avocado, arranged artfully. For main dishes my wife and I had the Pescado a lo Macho - a deep fried fish fillet topped with sliced octopus, shrimp, and calamari, bathed in a delicious sauce. Our friends had the Seafood Fettuccini. I didn't taste it, but they were very pleased with it. And for dessert we all had the Chicha Morada Cheesecake - light and creamy, with a delicious crunchy crust. Overall, we were absolutely thrilled by each and every dish. As we tasted each dish, we commented "I'd come back here, just based for this one dish". For the entire meal to be so consistently memorable and delicious was a real delight. Adrian, the owner, was a wonderful host, helping us navigate a menu of dishes that we were not familiar with. We also asked to meet the chef, Evelyn, to thank her for the wonderful meal. For those of you that know Montclair, you know how much of a challenge it is to find convenient free parking. Terra has it's own parking lot right next to the restaurant. I highly recommend a visit to Terra. I'll certainly be returning, and I look forward to introducing many of my friends to this wonderful dining experience.

The place had a great vibe and I loved that the copocabana lady was everywhere. Very cool! We had a late reservation at 8 on Saturday and we were definitely a little rushed at the end so I would recommend eating earlier. We probably would prefer a 7 reservation as the kitchen seems to close around 9 and cleanup begins while you are eating. The food was all gluten free and there were plenty of dairy free options. I thought the food was clean and delicious and I could tell the chef put a lot of effort into his cooking. I also felt good after I ate it which is not always the case for me. They take great care in picking ingredients and it shows through in the taste and flavors of their food. I liked every single thing I ate. I also took home a lot of leftovers! I liked the food just as much a day later. Absolutely delicious. The other little issue I had was they tack on a service fee/ gratuity of 20%. We have seen this on vacations but never in the states. I feel this makes some people confused and uncomfortable. We always tip at least 20% for good service. The forced service fee/gratuity is not something we personally are a fan of.
