It's disappointing to hear that a local business views a loyal customer that way. She loves to visit the gift shop, and asked for several items, including a card that she could give her mom for Mother's Day. She insisted on choosing a little dahlia plant for me to have, as well. Like a said, "Sweet". We have our ritual of visiting the gardens, then stopping in the shop as a last hurrah. I enjoy seeing how they rotate and display the seasonal merchandise. Since the remodeling, it's even better for visual arrays of goods. The prices are full retail, but they are making money to help support the gardens overall, so I don't begrudge them that. It's also valuable that their buyer(s) choose some diverse items that aren't repetitive with other shops.
