We got into town late and the desk clerk at our hotel recommended Noahs. It was very easy to find at the lower tram terminus. It was a weeknighight at 8 PM so we were happy to find Noah's open. We lucked out and had a fantastic bartender/server named David. He kept us entertained with information about the local area while the excellent kitchen staff prepared delightful char-grilled burgers. I don't know about the other bartenders and servers who work there, but David is a keeper and probably deserves a raise. read more

The staff was really friendly and kind. Our large party was quickly accommodated, and our orders were taken after giving us just the right amount of time. They have a gluten free pizza crust and buns for anyone looking for that. I am vegan and I was with another vegetarian. She had a black bean burger which you can sub for any burger on the menu. It's not vegan though, it contains egg whites. Instead, I got the sweet potato fries and a side salad without cheese. The fries (regular and sweet potato) are INCREDIBLE. Look. The only thing I feel you can judge anybody/place on is Attitude and Effort. This place is rock bottom with both. Expect to never be greeted, never met at your table, never acknowledged at the bar, missing the bare essentials of a plate/silverware with your food...the list goes on. The food is pretty decent and the location can't be beat, but Noah's is legendary for absolutely terrible service among the locals. To cap it off, when I ordered the house special drink, the bartender had to pick up a menu off of a table to figure out how to make it. We had eaten here two nights back to back and had two different experiences. We had first eaten here Friday (01/22/21) we didn't have to wait to get a table but did have to stand at the front for a bit of time before we got sat (no big deal) we were then greeted by our server (did not get her name, short bright blonde hair) we did feel a bit rushed to order our food and drinks as soon as she approached us. We had a few questions about the menu that she didn't seem to know the answers about (maybe a new hire?) Kinda pushed us to order something that she likes to eat there (still yummy!) There was a bit of a wait before we got our drinks, then another wait before we got our food(again no big deal we were not in a rush) she did come and check on us a few times and we had mentioned our food was cold, she brushed it off and didn't offer anything to help but was quick to stand and chit chat with us about her husband and that they are hoping to have another child soon.. other than that our food was great and it was a okay! Our second night, Saturday, (01/23/21) we did not have to wait at the front before we were sat, we were approached by a different server (we asked her name just in case) Dallas. We had mentioned that we were here the night before and our food was cold, she was quick to apologize and reassure us that our food would be hot, we asked the same questions about the menu and she knew the answers and the menu pretty well. We had no wait for our drinks and a short wait for our food. The food was hot! (Maybe a different kitchen staff then the night before?) It got a bit busier and she obviously had other tables at this point but was still consistently checking on us making sure we were alright. Only a short chit chat about where we were from and how our trip was, no talk about baby making hahah. Overall it was very good and would love to come back! The location and atmosphere was great! Friendly staff, hopefully when we come back it will be more like the second night! Would be 3 stars but the second night and Dallas gave us a better experience! read more

Do not get your food to go, and don't expect them to get it right or have all necessary ingredients. So disappointed, had to go back to get the au jus for the dip we ordered(they left it out on purpose... it's a dip!!!) The flat bread was missing ingredients because they were out, we were not informed and charged full price. Then they gave us full size cheeseburger, not the kids meal mini sliders we ordered, and charged adult price. This is unacceptable and we won't order from them again. read more

I'm not liking the small amount of stars for this place. I haven't been there in a about a year. It sucked a few years back, but we've been there the past couple of July's. It's been really good! The menu is quite expansive, and we've had a great server the last two years. I wish I could remember his name. The burgers and sandwiches have been great and the Crabby Mac is awesome!!!. Our group of 10 walked into this restaurant at approximately 6:45pm tonight. The restaurant was nearly empty of customers and our family was ready for an enjoyable dinner...we were soon to be extremely disappointed. We asked for two tables to be moved together so our party was not split up. We were told by two restaurant employees that placing two tables together was not possible, because it would confuse their servers. We again asked to be seated together and the two employees left to get approval from their manager. When they returned we were again told by the manager that this was an impossibility because it would cause confusion for their servers. The manager said the best he could do is seat us at three separate non-adjoining tables. With the poor reviews this restaurant has previously recieved, a person would think they would 1) be thankful anybody would patronize their establishment, 2) try to make accommodations for their patrons, especially a large dinner group, and 3) replace an incompetent manager who has no interest in making his customers happy. This was absolutely the worst restaurant experience and I would warn anybody even considering dining here to think twice before even walking in the doors. Additionally, if the staff is confused by simply moving the tables, they probably should look for work elsewhere. Or, even better, maybe the manager (Eric) should realize that he is a complete failure and just resign before he further damages the reputation of the business...if that is even possible now. read more

Our family goes to silver mountain resort for skiing, tubing, and the water park every year. Part of that tradition includes eating at Noah's Canteen because we love the food and atmosphere. I would normally give this place five stars, but this weekend's experience left a very bitter taste. we arrived and were promptly seated. It was, however, 20 minutes before anyone able to take our order. It was another 20 min after that before I even got a glass of water. I ordered a cocktail from the bar and my husband ordered a bottle of beer. We received no drinks and when I asked the waitress where our drinks were, she replied that the bartender was new so she was slow. I finally went up to the bar the first time and asked for a bottle of beer to take to my husband. The bartender looked highly inexperienced, first putting the strainer on, then realizing she hadn't yet shaken the drink she was making, taking the strainer off and putting on a glass to shake it. She gave me the bottle of beer and, mind you, I had to bring the beer to our table myself. This was now 45 min after being seated. Our food arrived and I still had no cocktail. I finished my food and went to the bar and asked, YET AGAIN, for my drink. The bartender showed me the stack of drink orders she had yet to make. I told her it had been 45 min since I ordered my drink, we were now done with our food, and wondered when it would be ready. She then RUDELY replied, "I'll get to it when I get to it." We were not the only ones angry at the lack of service. Other tables had patrons walking up to the bar as well, asking where their drinks were. One lady from the table behind us went to the bar and began arguing with the purple haired bartender, stating that she was also a bartender and this was ridiculous. After asking for our check, and being told our drinks would be on the house (I still received NO DRINK), we paid and left this terrible experience behind us. I need to include that my daughters medium well sirloin was extremely over cooked and difficult to cut. We headed to the water park's bar after this to get the drink we never received and the bartender thad them for us in under 2 minutes. To the restaurant owners, perhaps you were duped and thought this bartender had some experience, but a restaurant full of angry patrons should tell you that you need to fire this rude, inexperienced, purple-haired girl and hire someone who can actually do their job. read more

After reading reviews I was a bit nervous but we already had reservations for 12. Our party grew to 14 and the quickly accommodated us. Service was as we hoped. Most ordered burgers which were excellent. The grill was great and the bun was the bomb. Took half home of my black and blue. Blue cheese was very thick and delicious. My husband ordered Noahs double burger and it was extremely large....knife and fork thick. Those that ordered rib eye steaks were a bit disappointed as they all came our on the rare side even though some ordered medium. Garlic mashed potatoes and string beans were great. A pizza was ordered by two big eaters that claimed it was wonderful, great crust and they could not finish. Overall it exceeded our expectations. Could not do 5 stars as they steak issue was disappointing for 2. Maybe be sure to specify how you want your steak done clearly. Would go back read more

An hour and a half wait for food WITH a reservation. We placed our order and decided to wait in our hotel room nearby. We were called 20 mins sooner than expected to come pickup our food. The food here is authentically delicious with all of the local flavors infused. The taste is phenomenal. If you don't come here because it has a low star rating, you're missing out. I see the last review posted was about a year ago. Well, things are no better now. We arrived around 5pm, without reservation, however, seated right away. Thought the dining room was pleasant & clean enough. But from the start I should have walked out. My view was a booth on the back wall piled with silverware, napkins, plastic cups of half drunk drinks, etc. where a waitress was rolling silverware. Soon, this booth became a gathering place for the rest of the waitresses with nothing to do (another sign), visiting & laughing loudly, and of course on their phones. This went on for about 15 minutes until a guy from the kitchen came out and told them to stop chatting and watch the line. We were also subjected to a couple of loads of cases of beer being drug through the dining room to the bar, as well, as a big blue garbage can drug within 4 feet of our table, also apparently on its way to the bar. REALLY?!?!? Our waitress was very friendly, attentive and prompt. I decided to try the house wine (cabernet sauvignon) from Stimson Estates ($5 glass) which was passible. We ordered the Silver Rocky Mountain Oysters ($11.99) four pieces of very crispy goodness served with cocktail sauce (would bet not homemade) & lemon wedges. Two more pieces would have made this perfect, considering the price. My sister ordered the Huckleberry Ribs (Half rack $17.99) were fall-off-the-bone tender & surprisingly delicious. However, the garlic mashed potatoes were ruined with WAY too much black pepper and the seasonal sauteed vegetables were a JOKE - didn't know broccoli, cauliflower, baby carrots and green & red bell pepper was a spring veggie. The first three were so raw you could hardly stab them with your fork and the peppers were soggy. The seasoning on them was so foul, it almost turned your stomach. I ordered the Rib Eye (12-oz for $26.99) - while the interior was cooked perfectly to med-rare, the grill obviously wasn't searing hot since the exterior, although had the perfect grill marks, was gray instead of having the nice char. It was basted with Noah's special maitre d'hotel butter, which I liked but think most people would have found way too salty. The baby baked potatoes were perfectly cooked, however, came in a bowl covered with unmelted tasteless finely shredded mild cheddar cheese and drowning in sour cream with a few green onions sprinkled on top. My plate was also assaulted with the HORRIBLE seasonal vegetables. Upon reviewing the menu for this write-up, realized you were supposed to have a choice of potatoes or rice pilaf. We were never offered a choice when we placed our order. When I brought up my disappointment in the vegetables, our waitress stated that she did know that they were fresh and not frozen, which I already knew. Being raw doesn't make them "seasonal". Was thinking that asparagus would have been a more appropriate "seasonal" vegetable, which is abundant in this area this time of year. She did offer to bring me a side of mashed potatoes, however, I declined for obvious reasons. She also offered to "buy" me a dessert, which I also declined. When I travel I prefer to support local business. Even though I'm sure the Silver Mt Resort is not locally owned it does support the local economy in this small town of Kellogg, Idaho. That being said, the only reason we went to Noah's was that the front desk person at the hotel where we stayed said it was a great place for steak and ribs. When I asked if there was another local place, she stated that the food at Noah's was the best. WRONG!!! We will NEVER go to Noah's Canteen ever again. If you want to throw your money down the drain, then, by all means, be my guest. Next time we'll try the morning front desk person's recommendation and try the Moose Creek Grill or drive up the road 8 miles to Wallace and eat at the 1313 Club. read more

I gave this place one star for the food - it was okay. This is the "restaurant" at the base of Silver Mountain, next to the Gondola. We made reservations for dinner, and when we arrived, found that the attached bar was preparing for karaoke night. We asked to be seated in the quietest part of the restaurant - got the opposite, apparently due to the waitperson rotation. We had to ask for silverware, and for every refill of water and tea we got. The waitress dropped my daughter's pizza, resulting in another 20 minute delay. This would not have been a big deal, except that we were subjected to the hearing-damaging karaoke next door. We asked to be moved, which was accommodated, and they gave us a 20 percent break on the pizza. When time for the check, we had to call the waitress over from sweeping the floor to pay. I asked to speak to the manager, and was informed she had already gone home. Maybe this was for plausible deniability, but one way or the other, wow. If you are looking for a pleasant dining experience, go somewhere else. If you want to be forcibly included in a drunken rant, this is the place for you. The food was great especially the salads and fries. Pizza was also very good. Better customer service training would pay dividends at this place. The hair found in the salad must have been the "special" part of our order. .. Monday evening I had a super nice but busy bartender- he has to service the entire bar and the outdoor setting accompanying the bar- it was busy but he overall did awesome. Apologizing for the delay - which maybe was 10-15 min. On Tuesday there was a female bartender covering the same area- she did not do well. After 20 minutes I went and got my own menu, I made eye contact with her several times and she even came out twice with bills and did not come and help me. During my stay I ate here twice. Both times the food was amazing. I loved the sliders. Prime rib was to die for. We did encounter a couple issues with our reservations but with it being New Years Eve, I understand how much stress the hostess was on and also the rest of the staff. Well this place cannot get it together. The service was mediocre at best. The waitress staff needed more help. The cook staff needs a Robert Irvine intervention. My tri tip dip or whatever it was? Was absolutely horrible! My wife had the salmon (no sauce or glaze at all) and it was way over cooked 1/2 was to dry to eat. I think you could go to the Henry Doorly zoo and find a chimp that could cook better. The salad and fries were very good and my drink was spot on (crown, water splash of coke). My wife's 1st huckleberry margarita was spot on she totally loved it. The second one they brought her a double (not ordered) that was, well we aren't sure what it was. Told us they would charge us for a single guess what we were charged for a double. No one asked if our meal was good or if we needed anything else but they sure were fast for bringing the bill. I don't know what the owners are missing? This place could be an absolute gold mine if ran properly. We have been going to Silver Mountain for 4 years and ate here 3 times but won't do it again unless there is a huge billboard flashing under new ownership or management.
