Hand formed patties and Cold Beer served with a strong smile! The burgers are delicious and the folks are a true pleasure to chat with.

Stopped in this small town for a bite to eat. It's a cozy bar with bar food. The wait for food was long, there's one cook and they made one order at a time. Tender salad was good, as well as the tender basket. We ordered the boneless Buffalo bites but they gave us Buffalo wings by accident. They re-made the boneless bites and told us to just keep the wings because they'd throw it away. Wings were not so good, and boneless bites were good but a little too crunchy/over fried.

Stopped in as a midpoint to my bicycle ride on the Trail of the Couer D'Alenes. Mullen being the eastern end of the trail. It was lunch time. I had seen an ad for this place somewhere before. The place was clean, not very big, but just the right size given the location. I sat at the bar. They also had a few tables and a rather spacious patio. A very scant selection of beers on tap, but several indie brews. I ordered a somewhat local amber. After my 29+ mile bike ride, 1100 feet elevation gain, it sure hit the spot. I was wanting a light lunch. I still had to ride back to where I parked. They have a normal cast iron grill. The cook was cooking three burgers, including one what I am guessing was a patty melt. The size of the burgers was generous. Their fryer is an automatic enclosed appliance. While I was waiting saw an order of loaded tator tits. Damn it looked yummy. My fish arrived. It appeared dark but was delicious! The appearance was misleading. The fries looked overcooked as well but tasted great. Price was amazing. Service was top notch. I highly recommend this place.

Extremely friendly bartenders and really really great food. My girlfriend had the treehugger and loved it, I had chips & salsa which was clearly fresh made locally and totally delicious. I also had the best pickle of my life here, I know that's sounds like hyperbole but I'm being 100% serious.

Yum. The best food. They toast the buns and the meat is fresh. I love everything on the menu. If I'm driving through I stop.

The…read moreKingston Hilltop was a pleasure when it came to finding a variety of the standard fare at a reasonable price. I had the CFS with white gravy and fries. The fry sauce was top of the line and the CFS was up there in quality. Momma's fish and chips were cooked without excess oil and I believe they were cod. She did substitute sweet potato fries that seemed to please her, but be aware there is an upcharge. Our friend had a standard fare hamburger with the tasty high quality beef that was hanging over the edges of the bun. The beer selections were limited, but well varied so you will find something you like. My point is that while this is an off the beaten path eatery, it is worth the detour!

There are some wonderful pictures of the old miners that the building has been dedicated to. We came a little after lunch time but there were still several tables with diners. They also have a nice bar and additional outdoor dining. Our waitress, Liz A. was fantastic. She was quick to great us and take our orders. When we were ready to leave, hubby wanted a shirt and she brought out one to make sure the size and color was right. She also gave us a bag for our to-go boxes as the meals were big. And a plastic cup with a lid and straw for fresh ice tea to go. And to the food - we enjoyed every bite. We both had the black and blue wraps. They are big and loaded with plenty of delicious tender meat, veggies, and blue cheese. I had tater tots that were perfectly crispy and Liz brought out a big condiment tray with squeeze bottles for them. He ordered the Blue Cheese Garlic Fries - which were also crispy and packed with yumminess. Very happy we stopped here. They are currently open 7 days a week and you will not be disappointed

This is true and there are multiple signs advising so, both prior to entering and just inside the door. What's the big deal you may ask. Aside from a brewey with no food being specifically for adults not being too far out, and for those who may want to avoid (or look for it), the mens room is adorned with full playboy spreads which could be controversial for junior. So, the environment & products are targeted to adults. The interior has mining decor and pinup decor, a bar top, pool table and a few tables with chairs. The beer we had was good for one and above average for the other. The wheat (with lemon wheel garnish) was a surprisingly tasty treat. It was out of the way for us but is right off the highway, so, convenient for a lot of people & the town itself is quirky. As you can see, it's the center of the universe & they have the manhole to prove it!

I did this area a while back visiting many breweries here but a few slipped through my fingers and this was one of them so it was good to get this one marked off my list. We had the Redlight Irish Red Ale which we liked quite bit. Irish Red Ales aren't necessarily a beer type the two of us flock to but this one was very good. Flavor highlights to look for when enjoying this beer is malty, sweet and dry. The beer is also very light bodied and smooth so that, at least to us is an enjoyable plus!
