While visiting Ann Arbor with friends we walked up on No Thai, the food was delicious, and fresh, the portion size was overwhelmingly good. It was busy but the flow of service was good. If you're in the mood for Thai and in the area, I'd recommend it without reservation.

This place is stream lined Thai restaurant, go in order and then seat yourself. Order will come up and call your name to pick up. The Thai tea is in a dispenser and you put in the creamer yourself, which is a plus, as you can add any amount of creamer you would like to the Thai tea. Drunken noodles is not quite the same taste as I usually have tasted. It is still savory and delicious. I would recommend the drunken noodle from this place.

We stopped by No Thai! on recommendation of a colleague while we were in A2 for business. If you're looking for a mom and pop with a variety of dishes specific to their Thai community, NT is not that. It's more of a "fast food Thai" option. They focus on a handful of "classic" Thai dishes, and allow you to customize your protein and spice level. Service was quick. The restaurant, while small, has several tables, including a high top bar near the window. We stopped by at 2pm on a Friday, and they still had several patrons eating at that time. My husband ordered the Chicken Pad Thai, spice level 4/5 (Yoga Flame). It came out completely white so he was concerned it would be bland, but said he was pleasantly surprised by the overall flavor. He's a lover of all things spicey, and felt that 4/5 wasn't quite spicy enough, but looks forward to trying other proteins with the full 5/5 spice (Dim Mak). The only critique he had was for the noodles- they came out as a clumpy, soggy mess and were difficult to separate. I ordered the Beef Pad Cashew stir fry with 1/5 spice (I'm a wimp!), and I thought it was flavorful and delicious. The beef was tender and veggies had a nice crunch. It came with an abundance of Cashews, which I love. We will definitely be back to try other dishes.

COVID ERA UPDATE: I placed an order over the phone while driving home from errands one night. 20 minutes late, our food was ready for pick up. I couldn't pay over the phone so I had to pop in to make the payment and it felt super safe. Everyone was masked up (from the front staff to the kitchen), all the seating was removed which allowed for easy distancing for those of us doing pick up (there were only 2 of us). Everything was packed up well and even after a drive home in the dead of winter it arrived piping hot. We'll definitely be doing it more often in the coming weeks.

What I liked about No Thai was the service was super fast and the restaurant was very clean. What I didn't like was the flavor of the Pad Thai. It was pretty bland. Although I wasn't a huge fan of the food I know other people love No Thai. I may have to go back to get another item on the menu.

I could have used more eggplant, but still yummy.

My boys are huge fans of this place and often get the sweet and spicy chicken. I don't find this food to be authentic, but it can still be tasty. I opted for the pad Thai with tofu and the green curry with beef. Both were with weak sauce, which I must admit has ample spice for me. Although I long for a traditional coconut milk-based curry and more eggplant, it still hit the spot. The frequent diner rewards are a bonus.

This is not the place to get good Thai food. Definitely not authentic tasting at all, but more of an American chain trying

But other than that, the flavors, the service, and ambiance was the same, if not better! Since the move, the space is smaller, however I love how bright and open it is. And instead of going to the washroom in the motel, they have one inside the restaurant. We ordered our favorite dishes: spicy basil minced chicken (last option on the back of the menu) and the Thai volcano shrimp... and the cute and delicious Bear Thai Tea. I usually have a hard time finding my favorite Thai dish (basil chicken with minced chicken or pork) at Thai restaurants, so I'm really happy they didn't close for good. Both of the dishes we ordered are our go tos and can't say I'll ever order anything else! The shrimp is crunchy and pretty big... it looks similar to a small cider donut... and they give you about 6, with a side of rice and broccoli. I love that they added a sauce tray that they bring out before your food arrives, in case you need more heat in your dish. I hope next time, if I have room for it, to try one of the desserts.

Their online menu does not have the pictures that the in store one has and woowee it is a lot of choices of noodles! Amongst the 4 of us, we ordered the pork tip noodle, the Peking pork (zhajiangmian), hot oil wide noodle, beef tendon knife noodle. YUM! The noodles are handmade, handpulled and you can customize the shape and thickness you want! The portions as you can see are massive and the prices are very reasonable! $14/$15 a bowl! My pork rib tips were too tough but still seasoned. I would say their Peking style zhajiangmian is pleasantly less authentic and I liked this version better than the original! It included a braised full egg, and not too much of the cloyingly sweet and intense sauce. We ordered and within 2 minutes we were served fresh bowls of piping hot noods. Our server was efficient, warm, knowledgeable and bilingual. She said I looked like a popular Hong Kong singer, like OMG what a cute compliment! There was convenient parking and it was really close to my friend's house. Highly recommend!

I recommend the soups - I love the beef and radish soup and the miso soup. The bao buns are large and filling. I like that there is an option for contactless order and that there are utensils and napkins for patrons along with free chili oil to pack up in small containers for takeout. Many restaurants today are charging for chili oil and even utensils, which I find to be absurd. There is lemon water for patrons to serve themselves as well.
