No Thai has multiple locations in the Ann Arbor area. The one I ordered from is in a shopping center containing a couple other restaurants a grocery store, a pet store, etc.. I ordered online, which was quite easy. They have an extensive online menu containing lots of dishes. I ordered imitation crab and cream cheese filled wontons . Normally, I wouldn't brag on something that sub commonly ordered, but these were made with TLC ! They were plump with the imitation crab meat and cream cheese. They were folded and fried to perfection. There were four to the order. I also ordered Pad Cashew. It contained Water chestnut, white onion, green onion, baby corn, mushroom, cashews, with brown sauce. Served with a side of white rice (sauce contains fish sauce, chicken stock, soy sauce, oyster sauce) I customized it by requesting a light portion of white onion and paid for additional cashews. The main dishes can be ordered in varying degrees of heat. I ordered one plus as my heat level. It came out perfect. For a casual fast food style Thai cuisine that's authentic, fresh and delicious. I highly recommend No Thai!! read more

Quick lunch with college boy before touring his labs at North campus. He got the sweet and spicy chicken, I chose pad see ew with chicken and husband ordered cashew chicken. The portions are huge, the rice is fluffy and the staff is efficient and brusque. No Thai does a booming take out business, although we ate in this time. I had enough broccoli noodle left for two more servings! Even 6'4 college boy took half home. Good stuff! read more

It's been years since I've dined at No Thai, but I've never tried this location. Service was good and quick and they had vegan options which I appreciate, but the Green curry that I ordered with medium spice was overpowering with spicy that seemed out of place with what looked like hot paprika or some red spice overlayed in the dish and also overpowering sweetness that was too much that it was off putting as I continued to eat until I couldn't eat it any longer that I didn't want to take the rest of it home nor did I want to finish it lest I get diabetes. It was not good. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing and something else would've been better but as I recall my last review on No Thai years ago also was not favorable either. The dish was subpar compared to other Thai restaurants. Too sweet and too spicy both combined made for an overpowering (not in a good way) disappointing meal. I'm sorry but it just didn't meet my standards. read more

I come here every time I come to Ann Arbor but this time and the last time. The food is not the same . The rice is dry and doesn't seem fresh. Frankly I'm disappointed. Something has changed and not for the better. The service was good though. The restaurant is clean and so are the bathrooms . Please go back to serving the delicious Thai food that you use to serve . read more

This No Thai was good, the service was quick and the food decent. The spice levels aren't very consistent, I ordered medium spice and it didn't taste spicy at all. This spot is more of a takeout location. Overall, not bad but I've had better experiences at some of the other locations! read more

Really enjoyed the service and quality of food at this location. Portions were large and prices are very generous considering how much food you get with your meal. This location was very clean and we received our food very quickly. This location is a bit small, however, which makes it difficult to sit down during busy lunch and dinner rushes. read more

I really like the food here. The way you can order "your way" is revolutionary in terms of food ordering is concerned. Staff is really nice too and they always get my food order correct read more

Beware that their spice level is no joke, choose carefully. We ordered the sweet chicken with Brown rice and crab Rangoon (but they only have cream cheese inside no crab or imitation crab) Good size portions, hot and tasty, but the reason I'm giving it a three star is because it made me feel bloated. I've eaten at many Thai restaurants and have not had that happen. Also place is very small and it's more of a take and go than a sit down restaurant. It feels like eating at a mall food court. read more

While visiting Ann Arbor with friends we walked up on No Thai, the food was delicious, and fresh, the portion size was overwhelmingly good. It was busy but the flow of service was good. If you're in the mood for Thai and in the area, I'd recommend it without reservation. read more

This place is stream lined Thai restaurant, go in order and then seat yourself. Order will come up and call your name to pick up. The Thai tea is in a dispenser and you put in the creamer yourself, which is a plus, as you can add any amount of creamer you would like to the Thai tea. Drunken noodles is not quite the same taste as I usually have tasted. It is still savory and delicious. I would recommend the drunken noodle from this place. read more

Food was very delicious suggest the sweet and spicy chicken. Huge portions and very nice atmosphere.

Noodles overcooked and medium spice to spicy. Always order medium. But today was over powering. Wasn't happy with my service today. I prefer the location on Plymouth Rd. read more

We stopped by No Thai! on recommendation of a colleague while we were in A2 for business. If you're looking for a mom and pop with a variety of dishes specific to their Thai community, NT is not that. It's more of a "fast food Thai" option. They focus on a handful of "classic" Thai dishes, and allow you to customize your protein and spice level. Service was quick. The restaurant, while small, has several tables, including a high top bar near the window. We stopped by at 2pm on a Friday, and they still had several patrons eating at that time. My husband ordered the Chicken Pad Thai, spice level 4/5 (Yoga Flame). It came out completely white so he was concerned it would be bland, but said he was pleasantly surprised by the overall flavor. He's a lover of all things spicey, and felt that 4/5 wasn't quite spicy enough, but looks forward to trying other proteins with the full 5/5 spice (Dim Mak). The only critique he had was for the noodles- they came out as a clumpy, soggy mess and were difficult to separate. I ordered the Beef Pad Cashew stir fry with 1/5 spice (I'm a wimp!), and I thought it was flavorful and delicious. The beef was tender and veggies had a nice crunch. It came with an abundance of Cashews, which I love. We will definitely be back to try other dishes. read more

With limited Thai options in Ann Arbor, this has reluctantly been the place to settle on. In the year though, the quality of food has significantly gone down. I ordered takeout two days ago, and this will be my last one. Food tasted bland, spice level was mild at best, though I ordered medium plus. The texture of the noodles were gummy. read more

I have had some very good (4/5) and very mediocre (2/5) experiences here. Depending on the day/the staff, the chicken pad thai can be really good, but then on other days, it can be flavorless and watery and greasy. The pad thai sauce is often so subtle it seems like it doesn't have sauce. The noodles are often overcooked or undercooked. The worst thing is that, more than one time after going here (over 4 years), I felt the food may have been undercooked and may have made me sick. This was the case yesterday. I will have to throw the leftovers out. But on other days, the food was so delicious that I ate the leftovers for breakfast. read more

COVID ERA UPDATE: I placed an order over the phone while driving home from errands one night. 20 minutes late, our food was ready for pick up. I couldn't pay over the phone so I had to pop in to make the payment and it felt super safe. Everyone was masked up (from the front staff to the kitchen), all the seating was removed which allowed for easy distancing for those of us doing pick up (there were only 2 of us). Everything was packed up well and even after a drive home in the dead of winter it arrived piping hot. We'll definitely be doing it more often in the coming weeks. read more

What I liked about No Thai was the service was super fast and the restaurant was very clean. What I didn't like was the flavor of the Pad Thai. It was pretty bland. My boys are huge fans of this place and often get the sweet and spicy chicken. I don't find this food to be authentic, but it can still be tasty. I opted for the pad Thai with tofu and the green curry with beef. Both were with weak sauce, which I must admit has ample spice for me. Although I long for a traditional coconut milk-based curry and more eggplant, it still hit the spot. The frequent diner rewards are a bonus. read more

Always amazing food. Great portion size. Lots of variety on the menu. Just wish we'd have one closer to home.

Food fine. Average drunk noodles. The issue is service time and order. Had a group of 3 separate tickets back to back. Two came out and then a 23 minute interval between the two and the single. In the mean time still messed up the order next time I would pay attention to the NO! read more

This place deserves a higher rating. Obviously you can't expect some super authentic high quality dish, but for the price you pay this place is great. They're also very generous with their portions. Their pad Thai was so good and flavorful. I'd def come again! read more

This location is smaller than other No Thai restaurants where I have eaten. Pro: - Quick service. In a hurry? Get in and out fast. - Thai ice tea is pretty tasty. - Prices cheaper than the sit-down Thai restaurants in the area. - Frequent diner? Join their frequent dining club. - They do a lot of take-out business at this location. - The tofu and beef are nicely marinaded. - Parking right in front is plentiful and convenient. Peak time? Start walking, peon! Con: - Seating may be tough during peak times. - Vegetarian or vegan? Choices are shrimp or tofu for you! Too bad, so sad... - Shrimp = $1 surcharge but portion is okay. - TP in restroom can be mistaken for sandpaper. Overall, a strong B+ for Ann Arbor. Do not mistake No Thai!'s food for that LA or NYC ultra-douchy Thai trendy haute cuisine which can best be described as "small food for BIG money"!. The fare here is more than adequate. I have clients who take me to many of the hipster douchebag restaurants downtown but when putting my hard-earned money where my mouth is, I come and eat here. Enjoy and recommend to value-seeking Yelpers who do not like lighting their money on FIRE! read more

By FAR the best place to eat in A2. For one, the price is really good, the serving of pad Thai/ whatever entree you get for $10, I find to always be more than one serving. I've tried multiple times, I just can't eat the whole thing in one sitting. You'll always have at least 1/4 in leftovers of the delicious, quality food. I'm pescetarian and always get the tofu as my protein, it's really juicy and flavorful, I really recommend it for my vegetarians/vegans!! read more

We had eaten at the Kerrytown No Thai a few years ago and we weren't impressed and we haven't been back. After hearing people rave about the South Main place, we decided to give it another try. My parents are helping me move into the area. We were craving Thai so why not try this Thai restaurant, which we thought was so popular that that's the reason why they have several locations. We concluded that this is the Thai equivalent of saying that Taco Bell is Mexican food. Technically, this is Thai food, but with the vast Thai restaurants in the Ann Arbor area, we know there are better quality options. Compared to my parents' opinion, I personally didn't think it was that bad, so I ended up keeping my leftovers. I also like the convenience of having multiple locations and that they make your food quickly. They do serve Thai tea. However, adding your standard coffee creamer into their Thai tea served from a jug somehow ruined the authenticity and experience of eating at a truly Thai restaurant. read more

No Thai is good place to eat with friends and just chill. It is in the downtown area of AA so it is a good place to meet up with your friends after class for lunch or dinner. Or when you have night cravings you can always hit the place up and get it to go at eat and study at the library. I personally like the chill environment but I have to say No Thai can be a little salty. However it has good quality noodles and the employees there are super nice and let stuff slide. I always get the fried rice and drunken noodles. I really want to try the Yoga Flames but I don't know if my tongue can handle so I always end up with medium spice. Overall I think it is a place everyone should go at least once because it is a really good/well known place. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. Walked in on a Thursday at 9:28pm with an open sign lit and no other customers, but a 10pm closing time staring us down at the door. After quickly placing an order for veggie pad thai (my friend had already eaten) I was met with a "just so you know this order will be put in a togo box/bag, we are going to be putting the chairs up, do you still want it?) I've managed bars and restaurants before. If I had ever overheard an employee saying this I would have corrected them and apologized. This woman was so rude I literally just walked out. She could have mentioned that BEFORE she let me rattle off my order, but maybe she sized us up and decided we needed to go? I live in Detroit and was headed to hear my friends play down the street so no super rude lady, I'm not going to eat it in my car on a 10 degree night. Is this a trend? If you always close your dining room 30 mins before closing then just put that on the door and say take out only, or tell customers upfront. It was one meal not like a group of 10 that was going to hang out and whoop it up. This place sucks, don't bother. read more

Before we make any judgement about this American-Asian paradise of a restaurant, note the ONE $ meaning this place is cheap. No Thai consistently delivers much higher-quality food than you'd expect for the price range, and their variety of dishes have something for almost everyone. Their 5 different spice levels allow each dish to be birthed in two lights: the light, and the spicy. These are some of my favorites. Pad Thai: Probably their most popular noodle-based dish. Whether you're ordering to eat there or to do, the serving size is the same: big. There's no way you can eat a complete serving of honestly anything on the menu and be unhappy with the portions. The noodles are cooked to be super tender but still firm, so they capture and draw up your protein choice along with the spicy sauce of your choosing to deliver a very diverse and tasty bite. Occasionally you'll get some of the peanuts they sprinkle ever so slightly on top, delivering a crunchy bite and a rougher texture that's always a pleasant surprise. Combine these with a splash of lime that they always provide, and the flavors fuse together perfectly. This dish can be different depending on the level of spice you get. A 0 or 1/5 will be a typical noodle meal, while a medium and above will give it the No Thai signature taste. Drunken Fried Rice- No Thai offers three different fried rice dishes, each extremely similar. The Drunken variant includes similar vegetables to the others, but with a garlic sauce and no onions. My meat of choice for this dish is chicken--it blends in with the garlic sauce much better than the two other kinds, and you can count of having some in every bite. This dish always, always fills you up and leaves you prepared to handle the challenges of any night. A consistent and safe dish, I tend to spice this one up and get the 4 or 5/5 level of spice on this dish. Sweet and Spicy Chicken - Oh, Man. This is by far No Thai's favorite dish, no matter what time of day you can see many, many of these dishes being slid up onto the counter. The crisp, white rice comes piled on. It's fluffy, hot, and perfectly soft. The chicken is always coated to absolute perfection, the pieces are never the same shape so you always get a different experience of joy each bite. This is where you can really get hot. Dim Mak (5/5) or Yoga Flame (4/5) is a must if you're a spicy boi, but for fans of the savory over the hot, getting a medium and below can be just as heavenly as you can focus on the fusion of the chicken and the rice without breaking a sweat. One of my absolute favorite dishes of any place I've reviewed, and I have cravings at least once a week for this exact dish and a nice tall glass of water. Crab Wontons (Appetizer/Small Plate) - Listen here, I'm a hungry guy whenever I get a whiff of nothai. For me, these are an addition to a meal, but if you'd like a warm, tasty, creamy snack, these will do you very well. You can watch them being fried fresh, they come out to you on a nice platter with the ever so sweet plum sauce alongside. The tips of the crispy shell are browned ever so slightly, and the dry crunch in your mouth makes the next bite of the center even better. A healthy package of crab and spices, still warm from the hot oil of the fryer, can be so satisfying when a break from the typical No Thai spice becomes a bit much to handle. read more

Delicious and always fresh! Tried something new recently the Drunken noodles, highly recommend!!

My girlfriend & I came in & she asked for extra cashews bc she forgot to add it to her meal , and the worker got annoyed , said that's not something they do.. and just slammed it down without saying a word . Then when we walked out yelled "enjoy your SIDE of cashews" in a condescending tone. I'm confused, is is that steep? Like I really don't understand why y'all act like that when it takes 2 seconds.
