The ugly: the salsa and chips are not free, the menudo comes with a hunk of bread, as opposed to tortillas. And if you ask for tortillas instead of the hunk of bread, it's an upcharge. Easily a 5 star joint, if they can sort out their consistency issues. Queso Birria Tacos are amazing! This place does them right. The tacos are crispy and the meat is still moist and succulent. The salsas were also incredibly flavorful. If you are new to Birria, it is the French dip for tacos. You are served with a flavorful beef broth or consume. You can dip, drink, or both into this tasty broth. The tacos were flavorful and the cheeses used are great. Service was great and the establishment was very clean and well maintained. The bathroom was also clean and tidy. The aguas frescas here are made fresh and absolutely a must. The horchata I had was probably the best horchata I've had outside of Mexico ever! I didn't know it would be served in this amazing chilled mug. So good. I will be sure to come back as often as possible. I'm told that in the Summer months they have Tacos Al Pastor served from a trompo or spit. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was here. Simple, flavorful, and done right. The food is amazing!! We ordered the Birria tacos and a large menudo to split between my boyfriend and I. The Birria tacos were delicious they had a nice crisp on the outside & stuffed with plenty of meat and cheese on the inside. The menudo was also really good had good flavor and a good amount of tripe and homany. We still had food leftover to take home so the portions are well worth it! Can't forget to mention the Horchata is to die for We ended our meal with some Churros which were sooo good All in all the food was great the only downside was it was suuper hot and stuffy in there since it's a pretty small space but I think they're working to get that fixed. Food: Great staple Mexican restaurant! Large portion sizes. As one of the owners brought us our guacamole he said, "Everything we make here is very fresh." I have to agree with him; the food was very fresh and the cucumbers and lettuce tasted like they were just sliced. Cucumbers were also pleasantly sweet. Price: I got the cheese enchiladas in red sauce, for something like 7$. They were a heafty portion for that price. It was the special for the night. We both got enchiladas and guacamole and salsa for 20$. Great deal for a full and fresh tasting meal. Ambiance: this hole in the wall is clearly family owned and operated. This place is a true hidden gem! Definitely not the aesthetics you would find at your typical chain Mexican restaurant. I ordered many of the .99 street tacos and they were great, however once I ordered the chorizo taco, I wish I had ordered them all as chorizo! Easily the tastiest I've ever had. Best Mexican food I have had in a long time! Authentic, fresh, delicious, and priced right! I only wish we lived nearby bc this would become our regular spot. Stopped here a few months ago and they just closing and we went to a place down Washington. Which was disappointing. But this time we came early like 5:00pm , the place was empty, so I was a little worried. I ordered chips and salsa, but they were out of chip:( so they gave us chili fries witch was delicious. I ordered 4 steak tacos and 1 chicharron taco . The steak tacos were tender and delicious the red salsa was just right for heat . I like my chicharron crispy, but here they cook them in red sauce, so kind of chewy/rubbery but tasted great. So a little deferent, my buddy ordered the pork tacos and I snagged a bit of one and wow delicious. It has been hard for me to find good Mexican, there are a lot of what I call cafeteria Mexican food and this place is not one of them. Looked up tacos on yelp and this place came up. Wasn't expecting much since it seemed small and not too busy. Service was amazing, place seems to be ran by a husband and wife and I sometimes see another man and woman but mostly the husband and wife. Perhaps family run. We tried to call ahead to place our order, but no one answered the phone so we drove over. Most of the tables were full, they were pretty busy. We wanted chili rellenos but they didn't have the stuff to make them so we got the cheese quesadilla instead, as well as the no que no burrito and 2 pork tacos. The tacos were what we wanted to go for in the first place and they were good quality but small. The burrito was underwhelming, it tasted like hamburger helper (I was expecting shredded beef, not ground). The quesadilla was just plain, no quac or sour cream; we wish they would've had a veggie option, not just steak or cheese. The price was affordable, mainly for the tacos, and we wish we would've ordered more of those, but we also wanted a non-meat option, which were in short supply. A big part of this lower than acceptable rating is because it took 35 minutes to get our food. It would've been nice to know before ordering that it was going to take at least a half hour to make 2 tacos, a quesadilla, and a burrito. The table we waited at hadn't been cleaned. If we had just gotten tacos and not experienced any of the other food my rating might be higher, but that combined with the way-too-long wait time made this a disappointing experience. read more

We chose this little hole in the wall because of the Yelp reviews. It is in a non-descript strip mall and trust me, much better on the inside! It was pretty busy at 1:00 pm on a Saturday with both counter takeout and sit-down diners. It is tiny, clean, colorful, and feels like a little restaurant you would visit in Mexico. The service was prompt and friendly. There were four of us and we ordered several of the $.99 tacos, carne asada, carnitas, and two $1.49 chicharron tacos. We specifically asked if the chicharron were cooked crisp and were told yes, "that's the best kind." One of our kids, a Mexican rice connissieur, ordered a side of rice as well. The food arrived, and for $.99, these tacos cannot be beat. (I am sure that during the week this place is packed with students from Thornton High School, just up the street.) The tacos are small, street style with double corn tortillas that were fresh and tasted like they could have been made there or close by. The meat was flavorful and surprisingly plentiful for $.99. The tacos were topped with simply onions and cilantro, the asada had a red salsa, the carnitas had a salsa verde, they were delicious. I was told by the connissieur that the rice was "amazing." The chicharron however, I would skip. It was not the yummy, crispy chicharron I fondly remember from trips to Mexico. I cannot seem to find this delicacy in a taco in the US. These were in salsa verde, with onions, cilantro, and cotija cheese. The chicharron was soggy, gooey, and inedible. Overall, I would go back to try other items. No Que No seems like an authentic, family run Mexican Food place. Everything i saw come out of the kitchen looked incredible. Our bill was just over $15 for four of us for lunch.
