My co-worker and I decided we were sick of eating our Safeway deli sandwiches that we would make for each other on our lunch breaks. We wanted try something new that we haven't had before. It was like fate because "No Baloney" is located right next to Safeway, so it was easy for our lunch breaks. It's a unique little sandwich shop that is enjoyable for everyone. Service As soon as you walk through the door you are greeted with a warm welcoming smile followed with "welcome to No Baloney!" Everyone is really up beat, and seems very excited to be waiting on you. I really like when you're next in line they ask you if you have ever been here before, and explain how the menu works. It's really helpful! Food They not only serve sandwiches, they also serve soup, salad, and pasta. I'm very picky about my meat and what it looks like. I don't want to eat any of the processed deli meat, but I was actually very surprised on how well all the meat tasted on my Italian sandwich. They also have their own signature garlic sauce which was to die for. All of the vegetables were very fresh and had a nice crisp taste when you bite into them, very impressed! Atmosphere When you walk through the doors you can smell the fresh food being made. The tables were nice and clean for people to sit and enjoy their meal. Usually I find messes when people serve themselves their own soda, but they make sure to keep that area nice and clean. Price I found the prices to be very reasonable. Compared to other sandwich shops they seem to be very similar. If I remember right, I think I got a half of sandwich, chips, drink, and a cookie in some sort of a meal deal which made it affordable. Quality Over all I felt I was getting exactly what I paid for. It feels nice knowing I got exactly what I pay for. Everything was very fresh and tasted amazing when it came out of the toaster. Other thing I found to be very interesting was their cookie warmer. They keep their cookies in a warm so when you purchase one it just melts in your mouth. I found that to be very cool, because a lot of other places just have prepackaged cookies. Every impressed with this place, it's perfect to just sit back and grab a bite to eat! Best sandwich shop in town. They have all the fixings like most sandwich places but it's always fresh. The selection of sandwiches is about right. Not so many it takes a while to decide but still has a good selection. One of my favorite things about this place is the unique cheeses they get that go great on the sandwiches. I did not get everything I asked for on my food. I got overcharged on 2 drinks by $2. We were traveling north on I5 and read the reviews. This was a great "quick" stop!! So much better than the chain sandwich shops. Staff was very friendly, great selection of sandwiches! Super disappointed today. Ordered my daughter a sandwich she just likes pepperoni had to ask 3 times for more meat the person thought 3 pieces on a half grinder was plenty. Finally got 6 whole pieces of super thin pepperoni, she then decided I was done ordering and walked away when she came back I also ordered just pepperoni not feeling like salami on my sandwich this time I got 5 whole pieces on each side of the bread for a whole grinder. When I asked for more meat I got 2 more pieces. What happened to weighing the meats? I am assuming that she was new as she didn't know my husbands sandwich should have ham on it, that at least she did weigh out. Also asking after every topping "is that it" is super annoying, it felt like she was personally paying for every item on my sandwich and she was pinching pennies. This sandwich shop is great, plain and simple. Friendly staff, great ingredients, good cheese selection, and WAY better than other big sandwich chains. If you want a great sandwich then don't bother with the big chains and eat at this place, you'll be supporting your local business too. Oh and by the way, I highly recommend getting your sandwich on a grinder with the garlic ranch sauce, you'll basically have a sandwich on garlic bread and it's fantastic no matter what kind of sandwich you order. read more

Best Sandwhich shop in Albany. They use high quality ingridents and always have a clean restaurant. My favorite sand which is the No Baloney. Their grinder bread is extremely good. Whatever sand which you order ALWAYS get the garlic ranch sauce! The staff is friendly, helpful, and engaging while also being professional. This seems to be the biggest difference I sew from other big chain sand which shops and No Baloney. I'd reccomend this place to anyone and everyone. Average sandwich here is about 7 bucks but its definitely worth the extra cash. read more

I think this place has potential.When I went there I exspected a toasted sub.The sub was no where near toasted and the cheese was semi warm no where near melting point.Also the meat on my Italian sub was all cold besides the pepperoni.The garlic ranch sauce sounds good but the sub bread was very thick and dry so I couldn't taste the sauce at all. All in all the sandwiches could be good if they could get the toaster to actually toast the bread and melt the cheese.also should use a different sub bread cause subways bread taste better. Definitely a good fine on Yelp and I highly recommend any of the sandwiches here. They offer something called the "overload" option and if you like extra meats on your sandwich, you can't go wrong here. Don't get me wrong the meat portion they give you is plenty generous already. read more

Came here with my Grandma and my mother. To me it reminded me of a Quizno's. Quizno's isn't my favorite sub shop so that immediately put a damper on this location. I found the bread to be not that great. And a good sub sandwich is all about the bread. The sandwich itself was ok but nothing special. My grandma and mom both liked their sandwiches. My grandma ended up leaving her purse here by accident and we were able to call back and get it shortly later without issue. I would rather go here than a national chain any day though. read more

The quality of the food is still great, but they seem to be suffering with high staff overturn. I just don't have 15 min to stand in line on my lunch break and there rarely seems to be a sense of urgency in the service.
