Guy who did my massage didnt know how to massage properly -- He kept pressing really hard directly on my spine and its still painful as im writing this review. After awhile I couldnt stand it anymore so i asked him to cut it short but he didnt understand (or he pretended like he didnt) so he kept going on -- I gave up after telling him like 3 times. I didn't even want to tip but still gave 20% but the front desk lady demanded more rudely, which is why i decided to write a review here. I just wasted my time and money, and now I'm suffering from more pain than when I walked in. Do not recommend. read more

This is my go to place for massages. Jackie is my go to guy but i have had massages from others and they are always great. I like deep tissue and this place does a great job of massaging without left feeling sore. The hot stone add on is my favorite. This is the kind of place where giving a review can be challenging. The massage itself was worth every penny of the $100 they charged. That being said, I would gladly have paid a bit more to really get a great massage in a space that encouraged relaxation and inspired trust. The space does not have "rooms," it has spaces divided by curtains and some partial walls. This means that you can hear what's going on the whole time you're trying to relax like the front door opening and closing, the employees whispering to one another, the guy in the next room snoring (which he did loudly and for about 20 minutes.) Most of the people who work there have very limited English and the masseur did not seem very interested in understanding what and where my pains were. The most distracting thing was that several times during my massage someone came in and spoke with the practitioner. So, for the price charged it was a decent massage. But if you're looking for a "spa experience," this is not it. read more

My friend and I come every year to Westlake Village Inn. Part of our tradition is to make a visit to Nirvana Day spa for an hour foot massage. It is actually a full body massage with your clothing on. We go as many days as we can. In 2023 the charge was $40 for an hour body massage with foot massage. The atmosphere is friendly and clean. Been coming here for years. Between their Tai & Hot Stone massages, they always get my spots. Lower back is my issue all do to gym workouts. My once a month visit always keeps my Aline. There is ONE negative. Without fail, there's that one client that walks in talking soooo loud as if it's their own home. Maybe better signage to state, "inside voice" when entering. Stay around the area for a night and found this place to kill my time as the check in at my accommodation was not the time. So called in and booked for slot, when I came a guy named Peter, welcomed me and did not know was my therapist (he did not introduce himself so how I supposed to know). I was asked to enter one room for my massage and I was HALF NAKED and the lady opened the curtain and left that thing opened talked to me asking me to move to other room! Like SERIOUSLY other people behind can see my half naked body!!! Where is your common sense, besides I occupied that treatment room first while other rooms were vacant! So why don't you put other guest who came later than me in other rooms???? Anyway I left the room and and moved to other room with not wearing shoes as I don't want to re-wear and remove them again. Peter apologized and did great massage for me which I really recommend to book with. He worked on my problematic area and do some 'fixing' on that. They have a large room for the foot rubs and clothed massages that are shared across clients, and also individual booths for some other massage options. They have a pretty clear pricing menu and you can select exact what you want, and the add ons. The booths are separated by partitioned walls with curtains, which are not as private as a full room but adequate. You can hear the noise from the outside pretty clearly as well, which might be a bit disconcerting for those that like complete privacy. The staff here are all very nice, and very receptive to communication - if you want something specific it is better to communicate. My massage was very relaxing but I didn't think there was a huge focus on any knots. They have a "Thai" option as well which involves some assisted stretching.You can add a $5 foot rub to each of the massages which is really quite brief. After giving tip, the lady at the door argues with you that it is not enough tip. Giving 20% is standard and to even ask about tip is so rude.
