I used to love Nirvana but the quality and service have declined in the last few years and my last two experiences were so terrible that I won't be returning. On my second to last trip, the gentleman who performed my service was upset that tipped 18% not 20% but that was all the cash I had and had he been gracious, probably would've returned another day to tip him more but the way he acted was beyond rude and entitled so I was turned off. Last week I tried to give them one last chance and the new scam is that if you pay in card the prices are all $5 more which a reasonable consumer would assume covers the card fee, NOPE! THEY STILL CHARGED AN ADDITIONAL $2 FOR A CARD FEE. At this point I wouldn't recommend anyone to this place. read more

I had a very disturbing experience here and after reading reviews with similar details I felt compelled to share, as I truly feel that something is not right and others could be in danger. To summarize, I believe I was branded here. I've attached a picture that was taken 5 days after my visit where you can see there appears to be a "JA" carved into my back. Whatever it is, it feels and looks like a burn. The man doing my massage was very focused on inflicting an unusual amount of pressure on my spine, while breathing in a very labored and strange manner. I've gotten hundreds of massages and NEVER had someone focus so much on my spine area, let alone apply this type of pressure or whatever else he used to make this mark on me (there were no hot stones or anything else involved, it was supposed to be a standard 30 minute massage.) He did listen when I asked him to focus elsewhere and the rest of the massage was fine aside from the strange noises he was making. However, I never saw him. When I paid at the desk I asked if the man taking my payment did my massage and he nervously said no. Now I can't recall a single time the person doing my massage didn't meet me at the desk to get their tip. They appeared to be purposely hiding him. I don't know what he did to me. But after reading other reviews I do know that I am not the first person to experience the extreme, borderline dangerous pressure on the spine area repeatedly and the odd labored breathing/ noises, and the fact that I didn't see anyone else mention the weird painful unexplained marks on their body worries me that the dangerous behavior here may be escalating. Stay safe everyone and if I were you, I'd avoid this place. to note: after checking for the other reviews with similar experiences to me, I realized they were on Google, not Yelp. read more

I came here with my daughter and we both got massages and Nirvana is the best...I highly recommend them!!!

For the record, I never write reviews. The only other time I wrote one was when I found a large but in my food with no apology or remorse. Hands down the worst couple's massage we have ever received. One started 5 minutes late and literally applied no pressure (we're convinced she doesn't have any training and may honestly just be one of the cleaners), and the other started 10 minutes late AND left the room every 10 minutes for 2 minutes at a time. Neither understood or knew how to apply pressure at the correct positions on the body. One was literally pressing and kneading at bone. Literal bruising. At one point, my partner asked to speak with the manager to switch massage therapists, and the 2 masseuses tried to switch places instead. When we let the manager know about the late start, she said that they started on time and pointed up and said "we have cameras and they started on time." (They didn't). Regarding the therapist that would leave every 10 minutes, the manager said "they are required by a Covid law to leave the room because of humidity from breathing." My question to her was then "why aren't you wearing masks if you're concerned about that?" At this point, she started just rambling nonsense saying we can just not tip them. Not wanting to cause a fuss, I paid for both massages in full, but I let her know that we won't be coming back. read more

I came in for a scalp and facial massage and it wasn't terrible but it wasn't great. A male masseuse started what was supposed to be a scalp massage but he touched my scalp for about a minute, the rest of the massage was the standard massage at this type of place. Disappointing because I didn't come for a regular massage, I specifically requested and paid for a scalp massage. As he was massaging my calves, a woman came in for the facial massage. This was much better than the start. However, I added a face mask which was $25 - really overpriced for a sheet mask. She was friendly and mentioned she doesn't normally do massage, only face and abdomen, otherwise she's up front. Overall I wouldn't call this place a spa and wouldn't expect work on specific areas, even though they offer the option. read more

They switched to someone else mid massage, and while he was stronger, he has no idea what he was doing. Massaging bone and tendons, missing all the essential areas. My wife's prenatal massage consisted of them wiping oil all over her with no pressure either. It seemed like there was no consistency or training with these masseuses.
