Piroska was great! Even though I stopped by on an insanely hot day, climbing into the warm sheets, and having the hot stones + hot towels on my back felt amazing. The massage was more therapeutic than I thought it would be--but honestly, that's exactly what I needed. It's been about a week now and I still feel great! read more

I got a great massage with her, and I do not know anyone who will see you before work! On a Thursday! Her technique is not my usual deep tissue but for some reason, the peace and balance in my body lasted longer. She used oils as well, a very interesting Oregano oil to balance things. Really helped me. I did smell like an Italian kitchen with Mary Jane as chef the rest of the day, so I might save the oil treatments for before a bath, not work, but whatever she did - it really worked, I heartily recommend trying her, very sweet lady with an interesting technique - and come on - seriously? 7 AM? You can make reservations or walk in -- and I love that it's not out in the middle of the mall; Chi has its own storefront. The interior front area looks really clean and organized. I don't know the woman's name who worked on me, but she asked me my pressure preference as I was sitting in the chair. I mistakenly said medium to hard and whoa, it was hard and deep but so amazing -- not without pain of course. But then again, knots are painful! This woman knows her stuff and all the pressure points of the back, head, arms and shoulders. I even got a neck massage! I would actually come back, it helped. My boyfriend loves the chair massage too and for $30 for 30 minutes, not a bad deal!

I try to drive to up from Ventura once a week now to get their reflexology foot massage. For $35 you get a 10 minute chair massage, 30 minute reflexology foot massage, a foot bath and even some jasmine tea. They do other stuff too like longer chair massages and table massages but I haven't tried those yet. The lady that runs it is a doctor from China and she really knows what she's doing... this isn't like those Ventura mall guys that just beat you to death and call it massage. If you've never had real reflexology before it can hurt a little, but it really stays with you all day. The staff will scale it back for you if you tell them to. They're on the first floor of the mall next to Johnny Rockets, and the only negative is that the mall management put kiddie rides right in front of this place. So sometimes there are screaming kids which kills the vibe. They just crank up the Chinese zen music and close the doors though which helps. Also if you're a guy like me you'll want to bring your own magazine to read during the treatment... you won't like the selection that's there.

She was very accommodating/flexible to my schedule. The place is very cozy and has a peaceful feel to it and her room had soothing music, clean sheets, and warm/comfortable bed! Reasons I would highly recommend: 1) She did a full hour. I've purchased many Groupon deals and so many times the therapist always cuts me off 5-10 minutes early. 2) Within the first 5 minutes, she already knew all my knots and where I hold my tension. I am very tense on my neck/shoulders, and I've had a number of massages where these areas aren't addressed well and I leave a little dissatisfied. She totally got them all and I left fully satisfied and relaxed. 3) She was very pleasant to talk to and answered all the questions I had. 4) She told she stopped continuing Groupons temporarily so she can 'catch up' with everyone who bought them. Who does that?! That is so considerate - spoken from a true Groupon regular who always has to wait 3 months to book a massage (& always wonders if the waiting is worth the deal) 5) I always ask the therapist to focus ONLY on my neck/shoulders. The therapist sometimes massages other areas, and I'm like, wait did you not hear me? Michelle only massaged where I requested and asked about the pressure to get to where it was just perfect for me.
