I really enjoyed my visit here. Came after work on a whim and they were able to take me right away. Ambience, aroma, lighting, comfortability were all fantastic. I got a one hour massage and it was great! I will definitely be back again. read more

Awesome place! I love coming here. Always a great experience and I leave feeling so relaxed. read more

called this place up at 9pm on a friday night and they were willing to take my boyfriend and i for 1hr full body massages at 9:15 (they close at 10) for costing only $40 i thought it was just as good as an American massage just that we weren't in our own room with a door, it was more of a couples space with a curtain. I think coming to this place is worth it, if you can't get into your favorite American salon/you don't want to pay a fortune at an American salon. i would definitely come back to this place! read more

Easy to get an appointment but tough to understand the person on the phone. Dark and a bit spooky inside, got a private room as I wasn't comfortable in group setting, massage was really good and affordable. read more

My original review was how I felt after my first massage here. I am reviewing my last visit. I added the foot bath/scrub and did not receive it. I did not like my massage either. It felt rushed. However, I could disregard that. I spoke up to my masseuse during my massage but I wasn't going to be rude and walk away. My issue that I would like addressed is that the woman working the front desk was extremely rude to me. I left a tip but it wasn't what I'd usually give. She argued with me and told me this is a business and not a restaurant. I don't understand, as I've always tipped based on service. If your service was subpar, why would I give a large tip? The rest of the transaction was embarrassing and I felt terrible afterward. I will unfortunately not be back until the manager or whoever is working the desk, no longer works there. It's too bad because I really enjoyed the shop and my overall experience there. read more

Excellent massage. Very clean and professional. Only thing I didn't like was the noise in the room due to the massage "rooms" being separated by drapes. read more

Great place, very relaxing and I love that everyone respects the space with being quiet.

Truly enjoyed my Thai massage today. It was excellent and hope to go back very soon!

First time at nirvana day spa was amazing ! Went in with my girlfriend & we got the full body massage in the private couples room so for it being our first experience i definitely loved it ! Definitely will come back soon ! Friendly staff & they know what they're doing & prices were great aswell . THANK YOU NIRVANA DAY SPA read more

I really like this place. After being a customer for a few years now, what I like most is that it is always a good consistent experience. I personally like their set up compared to other massage parlors in the area. I appreciate how quiet they are and the soothing music that plays as you receive a massage. I usually get a $20 foot massage for 1 hr (which is full body) but I prefer their $40 private room for 1 hour which is also a full body, but they add oils and do more deep tissue opening some of those stubborn knots. I have tried almost all the masseurs and have my favorites that I book it with in advance. Good service for the price, if you need to get a quick one after a hard work week. read more

I love this place! Time to finally review it. I usually book last minute, and they are very accomodating, no trouble at all. I usually get the organic facial and massage with a private room. Which is beautiful. I like how dark and peaceful the environment and ambiance are. It may not be to some people's tastes but to me it is extremely relaxing and puts me in the perfect state of mind. All of the girls are so sweet and remember my name each time, I love that. read more

We've been coming to Nirvana regularly for nearly a year now. We always have a great massage. We have a couples massage. We have found Yan to always be accommodating, our massages to be great and our overall experience to be super. It is best to call ahead if possible even though they do accept walk-in clients. We've had the private massage room, the community room and the curtained couples area all of which are fine. The price is very reasonable and the massage is really wonderful. We will continue to be regular customers and encourage anyone looking for a massage to try Nirvana. read more

I've come to this location twice now. The massages are great for the cost. The problem is the manager. She runs the front desk and sometimes will do a massage. She is horrible. The first time she did my massage and spent the majority of the time trying to sell me on some facial treatments she does on the side. I had to spend my time talking politely and complimenting her on how she "looked young". The second time, I was able to get a different person for a full body massage (felt amazing). But when I went to leave, the manager was checking me and my sisters out and she had the audacity to tell me how much to tip! Minimum $10 each please. I was going to tip that anyways since the massage was so good, but why do you need to tell me this lady? I won't go back here again while that woman works there and I don't recommend anyone else does either. Unless they like being solicited by the staff during their massages. read more

My yoga teacher recommend this place because of the price and service. It's definitely worth the $20/hr for a foot massage.

I used to love this place however the last experience was terrible. We came for A massage and the main lady at the front was so rude!! I asked her if my husband and I could be next to each other as she was trying to put us on completely opposite ends and she told me no. I was so blown away that I told her we wanted to leave and she then manages to put us together. I got a gentleman and my husband got a female. I loved my massage until my guy legit fell asleep massaging my feet!!!! He kept going in and out of sleep and kept yawning! It was terrible! I kept kicking him to wake him up!! The best part is the lady massaging my husband was legit caressing his chest and I've been here a million times that never happens! So awkward for me! Never come here if you want to be relaxed! Worst experience ever!! read more

By Far The Best Chinese Foot Massage! I have been to many different Massage centers throughout the LA area and I keep coming back to Nirvana Day Spa. They are very kind and courteous and most of all have only the very best massage therapists on hand. It's hard to believe you can get a 1 hr foot massage including shoulders and back for $20 + tip! The space is very clean, open and inviting. I love to go there and get a massage and then go next door to Lassen's natural food store and grab a cleansing juice drink. They prepare it fresh to order! FYI: The reviewer Chizu O who wrote that she had a negative experience at Nirvana Day Spa sounds VERY Fishy to me. She is obviously biased because the only other review she has written is for a massage center in Canoga Park and gave them a positive review on the exact same day huh?? She obviously works for or has a friend at the other mentioned massage center. hmm.. That's just wrong & very unethical to me. Give Nirvana Day Spa a try and I promise you will absolutely love it and keep coming back for more TLC:) You deserve it! read more

Love this place. Today was blissful! Me and my love always go together and he likes Annie because she is strong. I love Lily because she is amazing at getting my shoulders and bum loosened up. Always accommodating and reasonably priced. read more

A couple of weeks ago and several recommendations from friends later...I thought it would be fun to bring the family. So with husband and kids in tow, we ventured out on a Sunday evening. Very clean, the atmosphere and energy were great! My husband and kids were first timers to the world of a Chinese foot massage, so I was a bit nervous of how they might feel/respond. The woman at the front desk was very accommodating and before I could say anything, she had my 11 yr old daughter paired with a female masseuse. Huge points to her! My family is now hooked! Unfortunately, I have two areas to critique and for us, it was the difference of making our session from outstanding to just okay. First - My husband and I felt both our masseuses spent too much time away...as in we had to remove the towel from our eyes to see where did they go?...still a good massage but it would have been exceptional if they hadn't kept stopping and disappearing. Second - Both my husband's and my masseuse spoke constantly to each other during our session. I found their whispering conversations with each other not only distracting but quite uncomfortable. If I could rate at 3 1/2 stars, I would. However, I have high hopes our next visit will be more consistent to the reviews. If so, I will post an update! read more

This review is long overdue. I've been going here for years and have always had a great massage there. Today though I went and the staff went above and beyond. They targeted all my problem spots like my neck back and forearms. I came in with a headache and left feeling much better. Today I also added the essential oil and it was fantastic. I was worried it would be too fragrant because I'm sensitive to strong smells but it was extra relaxing and the smell lessened substantially once I left. They were so accommodating and it just felt so fantastic. I've already taken many friends and family members here all of which returned too. I love how you can walk in or make an appointment go with friends and not spend to much on a massage. read more

It is best to call and get an appointment, but I rarely have had to do that. I have walked in and gotten great service about 15 times or more. Read all the reviews. They are nice people, who work hard, for a great price. So, even if you don't have a lot of money, you can get a wonderful foot massage, (which is much more), for $20+tip. Where can you get such a bargain? read more

My mom and I have been here a few times for their one hour foot massage. It's a great deal and one of the nicer locations in terms of setting (dark room w/ lanterns, shades, etc.) and noise level (you still hear phones being answered and people coming and going but it's better than other places). I am primarily writing this review so that people are aware of some of the issues prior to going. First of all, they are most likely going to try to up sell you on a service when you arrive, even if you already told them what you wanted over the phone. For example, you want an hour foot massage and they ask if you want the full body massage instead so make sure you are aware of what you are agreeing to before they start! On one occasion, I had a male masseuse and when massaging my hand, he placed it uncomfortably close to his lap (I have had many Chinese foot massages here and at other locations and this has never been a problem before). So, when my mom and I made the decision to go back, we called the day before and I told the person answering that we wanted female masseuses. It seemed like that was not an issue and we made the appointment. When we arrived, I again told the person at the front desk that we wanted females masseuses and we were seated with our feet in hot water. All of a sudden, a man appears behind me and starts massaging my back! And then a man appears behind my mom. I actually started laughing because it was so ridiculous! I guess I could have stood up and made a scene but I decided to go with the flow. While the massage was decent, my masseuse had obviously just had a smoke break and didn't bother washing his hands so he reeked of cigarettes, especially when working on my face/neck area. I CAN'T STAND cigarette smoke, although I realize that might not be a problem for some people. A little while later, I hear another woman coming in for her massage and loudly complaining that she requested a woman several days in advance and they were trying to give her a man instead. This went on and on for a few minutes and was very distracting but a woman finally appeared to help her out. In any case, I think there is a language barrier and don't feel like this happened on purpose but wanted to give anyone else a head's up. As with most Chinese foot massages establishments, you will get the routine massage and probably won't be able to communicate with anyone about specific areas you need massaged. However, it's hard to complain given the price. If you want a quiet, relaxing spa where you can get individualized service, you should probably look elsewhere. read more

I'm not sure about this place. Facilities were fine, and the massage was fine, but when they ran my credit card and then my debit card, they said both were declined. I was embarrassed and I ended up having to give them all the cash left in my wallet to cover the amount and tip. As soon as I got in my car, I called my credit card company to see why it was declined, but they said they never received a charge from this spa. Was their credit card machine broken or did they just want cash? I'm not sure, but with other massage places in town, I won't be going back here to find out. read more

My boyfriend and I got out first couples massage here they did a wonderful job! I felt very relaxed. The place was very tranquil and peaceful. The only thing I would recommend is to bring your own oil, they charge you ten dollars extra for oil that doesn't even smell nice. Other then that it was a great experience! read more

A couple weeks ago the owner, Yanmin (Yan), told me she is now satisfied that *all* the Nirvana therapists are doing top-level work. Challenge accepted! My family and I are in the process of getting at least a foot massage from each therapist and will report back. (In my past searches I generally had to try several therapists at any particular foot spa to find one that was truly good.) Update: As of January 31, 2015, we've received foot massages from nine current therapists at Nirvana. All very good to great! Yan is right--the quality at Nirvana is far more consistent than we have found elsewhere. Love this place! Yan, the owner, is so kind and welcoming. She remembers each client and even does massages herself sometimes. Genuine Thai massage much like I had in Bangkok and Chiangmai. So affordable, relaxing, and meaningful. Feels like I'm going to see old friends. read more

Awful! They literally beat me and my husband the entire massage. It felt like they were angry. The room is loud and they talked to eachother the entire time. Go to foot inspiration in Sherman oaks. Now that's a foot massage! read more

TERRIBLE place! They had 3 different people massaging me . One would start then one would stop and then someone else started then the other person finished it. Totally unorganized , strange vibes and the massage was terrible. They just want your money and BOY DO THEY WANT a tip!! I have never not left a tip but didn't leave one and they basically demanded one!! The audacity to keep asking me "tip?" "Tip? " my answeR NO TIP then they had who I assume was the "manager" ask me again why no tip? Because you have to EARN a tip not demand one. DO NOT COME HERE . Gross place read more

Incredible, incredible, incredible. I don't know what I'd do if Nirvana Day Spa wasn't here in TO. I highly recommend the 90-minute foot massage...and get it as often as you are able. The staff are professional and dedicated! It's such a privilege to have this day spa in the center of the city! I personally prefer deep tissue treatments, so if that's not your expectation, you should state to the therapist what you prefer! Foot massage treatments are the best 'integrative medicine,' and we have a healing place right in our own community. Wow! My last treatment was Saturday, and I told my daughter afterwards that during my treatment, I felt like a piece of laffy taffy on a hot concrete sidewalk...slowly but surely melting into the concrete. I honestly melted into the massage table. Wow! Grateful for this Oasis and healing place in my own city. Given the low cost of the treatment, I make it a point to leave a generous tip for the therapists. The standard 25% tip you might give for a massage treatment is not sufficient in my view on a service that's say...$30. So, I'd encourage you to be mindful and generous! Love, love, love Nirvana Day Spa. read more

I've been going to see Yan and her massage crew for over 3 years now. Her staff is very nice and very considerate- always asking if the pressure is comfortable. It's such a relaxing environment. I have no preference in who massages me because they are all exceptional to my standards. They do really well on requests on specific body parts and really know how to work out knots. This is what I look forward to going to every week :) read more

I recommend Nirvana Day Spa because it's the best in T.O Blvd!! It's the first place I actually like. When I walked in it was dark with relaxing music. It was busy with people at the front desk when I walked in which for me it looked disorganized because the lady at the front seemed a little irritated. But a nice lady offered me water. I got the 60 min. Swedish Massage and it was awesome! I like medium to firm pressure and the masseuse had the perfect touch! I will be coming back! Thank you! read more

I went back after Yan gave me a card and said to ask for a particular therapist. It was much better. This new therapist had a similar reflexology technique to those in Asia, so that was good. There was lots of work on the neck, but very little work on the back. Would prefer less neck work and more back work, but overall a much better experience. read more

I come in here a lot and usually give a good tip because the $20 hour long massage is great and totally worth it but this last time my friend and I went in and I was really excited to show it to her but both of our massage therapists were talking a lot and as they'd talk they would stop massaging us so her and I left pretty disappointed. I only gave a $3 tip to each guy that time and the woman at the front wasn't happy with me but I explained why. read more

This is the ONLY massage place I go to and I go almost every single week. I prefer their massages to those of the Four Seasons because I like firm, thorough massages, which is what I always get at Nirvana. I have a couple favorite masseuses but they are all good and I always know what to expect because they have similar routines. The chair beds are really comfortable, it is serene and peaceful, and I always leave feeling super relaxed. I like the music they play but because I'm there so much, it would be nice if they changed it up a bit (it's always the same tracks). Also, it doesn't always seem to matter if you call ahead because their reservation system isn't quite organized and you sometimes need to wait longer than if you had just walked in. Most of the time though, I haven't had a problem getting a massage almost as soon as I walk in. I would highly recommend Nirvana! read more

I was there when Amy C arrived who just recently wrote a mean review. Amy seemed to arrive angry already. The very nice woman who handles all who walk in was handling a rush, and doing a good job of it. Every time I walk in she is absolutely lovely, especially if I walk in with my daughters. The massage is fabulous and they always take care of me. Thank you Nirvana and all who work there! Gina read more
