As far as foot massage places go, I felt this place was clean enough and the atmosphere tries to be somewhat zen-like. I got a kick out of the monitor playing video of desert landscapes with eccentric animals eating one another on a hunt while there's tranquil music playing on the loudspeakers. The main room is unfortunately where there are 6 or 8 chairs are butt up against the main lobby. So you hear everyone come in or leave, pay their bill, ask questions, or if you're unfortunate enough to have to yentes walk in together, hear them whispering about the last movie they saw thinking they're being quiet when they're really being the most annoying people on the planet. And there are a lot of young toes in the hood. Anyway it's a good value and you can expect typical language barrier that comes with foot massage destinations but by and large you can get your foot massage fill here. Beautiful atmosphere, kind and wonderful staff, crazy intense massage. Whenever we get a chance to leave the kids with the grandparents, my wife and I do date-night-massage. We always leave feeling either relaxed and satisfied or worked and loose. That's the best part of this place...you get really great massages. I have been coming to Nirvana for over 5 years, after having tried many others in the area. I just kept coming back. Why? It's clean, and I consistently get a great massage. That said, for 20/hr, folks do need to keep it all in perspective...is it going to be as good as a professional sports massage? Nope...sometimes, but not always. For the past few years I have opted for the full body massage, which is a splurge at a whopping 40/hr...private room, spa experience. I challenge anyone to find a private full body massage that even comes close to this. Even at the chain massage places, I don't think you can find cheaper than 60-80 an hour..nevermind going to the Four Seasons at 180+ an hour. In this case, you get WAY more than you pay for....and PLEASE keep that in mind when you tip. At these prices, and for the service given, IMO a 50% tip is more on par....these folks work way too hard for a 5.00 tip! (I mention this only because I see it all the time). read more

First, I was in the center room for a foot/body massage and could constantly hear people using the restroom as well as the toilet flushing while I was trying to relax...I also found it kind of off-putting that my masseuse kept yawning the whole time they were massaging me. I was disappointed. I called to see how much just a neck and shoulder massage is and the manager quoted me $20, so I made an appointment. Then I arrive and she shows me the prices and I tell her she already told me $20. She said it's $40 for a neck and shoulder, and the $20 massage is for the standard food massage that includes neck and shoulder, but if it is customized at all the the price goes up. I'm not sure why the masseuse couldn't just focus on those areas I asked for for the same price. I was very frustrated and felt it was very deceiving to change the price as soon as I arrived. But when I was leaving, I noticed the lady across the way was getting an awesome looking massage - the masseuse seemed to be really putting in a lot of work. The services are well priced so I feel that if you have a nice person the tip should be generous. Since moving to the area, this is the absolute best find yet. $90 for a two hour body massage?! Does it get any better than that? Hell no! I've had massages around the world, from the fancy pants 4-star places to the super sketch dives, and the bottom line on all of them is how good the therapist is. If I do that, then she would be booked up even more and I would have a hard time seeing her. This is the only place i come to in co jeo valley for a outstanding massage. The owner yan is so sweet and very accommodating. I usually call ahead to make an appointment and the room is always ready when i walk in. Once you go through the doors you are greeted with a dim room and ambient music playing in the background this really helps set a relaxing mood to your spa day. The workers are all friendly and their hands are magical on your body. I love getting a full body massage along with some essential oil to make the experience wayyy better. I have been coming to Nirvana for years, ever since they opened. It is clean and professional. They can usually fit me in ( not always) without an appointment. It has become a weekly stop for me, helping to de-stress! Frequently I get a facial from Yen the owner. Aside from the Shisedo Products, her added facial/neck massage is wonderful. It has been my go to gift for friends and family for Birthdays, Mother Day etc.dinner and massage, what else could you want? I give it my recommend 100%. The thing to remember is that this is a communal room ( unless you get a private room) There are no hard walls, so yes I can hear when people walk in and pay etc.. I always try to remember to speak in a whisper, however sometimes people don't. It is not a deterent at all.. For the price it can not me beat! read more

If you want a Thai massage ... don't go here .. they don't know what it is...yet have it on their menu of services $65/hr. ...you won't get one. You pay extra for a private room which is fine.. but so would expect it to be more private and quiet. This is my third time trying this place because it's close and had good reviews ( previously had 2 stars but has gone up to 4. I thought maybe they got the picture that you shouldn't be rude and talk during the whole massage .. they didn't. ). I spent the hour with my daughter in a couples room listening to the two massage therapists talk almost the entire time .. and laugh. Lovely. To top it off the manager opened the curtain 5 times letting light in and allowing the people waiting in the front to look in and see me with no clothes on and a very small towel. To top it off I was not happy .. so I wasn't tipping my usual 20% plus. The massage therapist was rude and told me I needed to tip more. WTF!? Never again will I come here. I went outside to speak with the manager. She didn't listen and kept talking ... telling me that I need to tell the massage therapist to " shut up" because they don't listen to her. Again , what!? My boyfriend and I got a 90 minute couples massage. Neither of us were impressed, and that's being nice. My lady seemed to lack any sense of what actually feels good or what helps ease muscle aches/tension. She would press hard straight down my spine (on bone) and shove her elbows into my shoulder blades. It was as if she was confused between bones vs muscles. THEN to top it off, we went to pay and of course they charge you extra to tip on a card (WTF) so I agree and she asks what I wanted to tip and I said $8 each and the lady scoffed at me and said "well it was a 90 min massage." After telling her my opinions of said 90 min massage she rolled her eyes, walked away, came back and asked me again. First of all, tipping isn't mandatory lady! Second of all $8 was me being nice.
