I've been coming here for a few years and I love it here. Yen always takes good care of me. Ivy and Lucy give great massages. If you go you should ask for them and get the deep blue massage oil it really helps me with my sore muscles since I workout a lot read more

My husband and I have been to a few different Chinese massage spots on TO blvd. This place is the best compared to the other ones. The ambiance and decor felt like a Thai massage spa, very zen. It's scent was relaxing but not overwhelming like all the other Asian places. I liked that it was clean. I noticed our massage ladies went to go wash their hands mid way through the full body massage to start working on our head and face. Now you don't get that every where. The massage was good and price was reasonable. I will be back when I'm in the area. read more

This place is hit or miss. I have had amazing great massages and I have had nightmare massages. I prefer a slow deep tissue massage apposed to a rapid fire jackhammer massage. I do not like to pay to be slapped and karate chopped. My advice if you go here is that you speak up before they give you a therapist and tell them what you like. read more

Massage was okay. Exactly like most of the other Chinese massage places in town. The problem I had was when I was leaving and I go to pay and the woman throws the tip back at me because it apparently wasn't enough to her. She told me to tip more on card since i didn't have more cash. A tip is not something you're entitled to. I work in a service industry and I'm well aware of proper tip etiquette. This woman did not seem to understand how it works at all. The service provider does not get to dictate how much tip is given. I've never had anyone be so rude and make me feel like a bad person for actually tipping!. I wish I took my money back when she threw it at me and gave her the finger but I didn't I left her that tip anyway. Basically don't come here unless you plan to tip 50% or more. read more

I have been coming to Nirvana since they opened at a different location on the other end of TO Blvd. and feel they are simply the best. I took my 90 + year old mother here for many years until she passed. She loved Yann and everyone who took care of her. I have told countless people to come and try their always consistent and wonderfully intuitive deep tissue massage. I always get the 90 minute foot massage which really is a whole body massage with the bonus of the foot massage. I travel all over the world and stay in many 5 star properties but Nirvana's massage has spoiled me for all the others at 1/2 the price. I tip well ($15 - $20 for 90 min) because I consider the technicians to be like doctors who always get right to my problem areas. They are worth every penny! They work very hard and know what they are doing. I come regularly, bring my family and friends and have never been disappointed. Thank you, Yann, I am so sorry for some of these reviews that I feel do not properly reflect the service that you provide. These have been difficult times and I am so grateful that you have been able to ride through it all. All my best, Jean Thoren read more

I love this place. I'm so glad I found it. The price is great. They always squeeze me in. I've been there three times now and every time the massage has been great. My only complaint are the other rude customers that talk in the common area. And the last time I went the guy who was massaging me phone kept vibrating like crazy. Besides that the place is super clean compared to other foot massage places and the price is cheaper then others. I will definitely be a regular here. read more

I was there last week for the first time with pain on neck and back, got the very bad and unprofessional massage and backed home with double pain and I don't know what they did that after 1 week I still have a pain on my neck and can't move it read more

How is it that massage time always feels different than normal time! My massage was great but seemed to fly by. I got the full body massage and they hit everything. Relaxing atmosphere. Essential oils fill the air and add to the relaxing effect. We used a couples room and it was nice. Great for the price. Will definitely be returning! read more

This was the worst massage I've had in my life. Waiting on the table for 10 minutes before it even started and once It did start my masseuse left the room at least three times. Another masseuse actually entered my room and spoke with mine a couple times as well which interrupted whatever flow there was and made my massage even less relaxing. About halfway through I asked my masseuse to stop scratching me and to use her hands rather than her fingernails. She accommodated but and a few minutes later resumed the scratching. I then asked her if she had her license and she said she was not a masseuse but was filling in because they were very busy! Turns out she was the cashier who apparently helps out from time to time when no one else is available. read more

This spa is so great. I recommend it especially because it relaxes you very easily. The opinions are so accommodating. The price was so worth it and responsible. The hot stones really helped with my muscles. The spa was clean, private, and the staff were friendly. I give this 5 stars. read more

Broke my heart, been going here for years. You tell me if I'm wrong? Got a 1.5 massage yesterday with a sauna, paid and gave a $30.00 as she was amazing. Made an appointment with her again for another 1.5 hour private room massage. Sadly, all within 30 minutes we were continually interrupted 7 times, upon getting up and looking on the 8th time. I see the curtain COMPLETELY OPEN!!! Remember I am nude AND I see my masseuse pouring my woodlock oil in another misuesse object!! I'm livid....wait I am just getting started, so I demand to close the curtain and address the constant interruptions. Nevertheless, when finishes I asked for the manager but they say " No English" and finally " Manager is in China". I explain the issue all along they will not debt my services until I give her a tip- wait, I refuse to give a tip due to the deception, exposing my body to everyone who was walking by ( I was in the walkway room) which I heard men in there as well. I left and THEY will not stop calling and harassing me. This is NUTS.!!! I FEEL SO VIOLATED, I CAME HOME CRYING, COULD YOU IMAGINE ALL YOUR PRIVATES EXPOSED TO STRANGERS, BEING STOLEN FROM AND STRESSED THE WHOLE TIME? I should have left but honestly I was in shock, this has never happened before. NOW the phone keeps ringing from these people because I did not leave a tip. Crazy day. read more

Nirvana Day Spa - Day Spas Near Me - Thousand Oaks, California

When I walked in everything seemed fine I was greeted politely and seated but once I was brought into a room for a massage everything went south. The massage was horrible and the lady's massaging me and my wife just keep talking the whole time which was so Annoying and unprofessional. Then they still had the audacity to want a tip horrible place I don't recommend at all unless you want to throw away your money. read more

My friend and I started going to Nirvana a year ago and the massages are consistently amazing! Lately we are going on a weekly basis. Nirvana is quite popular and busy anytime you go, which in my opinion is proof that they have happy customers. Sometimes there is a wait even when you call ahead, but in my opinion it is worth the wait and every penny! When there is a long wait, they are always apologetic and usually throw in some little extra. I am a VERY happy customer. Interesting to see some reviews on here. My Friend and I have witnessed people who are very impatient and rude. I guess some people want to be treated like they are at the Four Seasons Spa, but want to only pay Nirvana Spa prices. They are also poor tippers. Don't get a 90 minute massage for $65 and tip less than 10%. Each massage therapist works very hard and deserves more than $5 for 90 minutes. My advice is tip them well and be respectful or find some place else to go. I recommend Nirvana to all my friends! Thank you Nirvana for always making me feel better and more relaxed! read more

I'm a repeat customer for sure! Their masseuses I've experienced are great and always have been and professional throughout. One thing I always appreciate is how attentive they are during the massage, always asking if the pressure is good, if I'm alright, etc... There is no ounce of laziness in Nirvana, they all work very hard and that's the main reason I keep coming back to them. read more

I love this place. My god sister Chelsie took me here. We have made it our tradition to go here. Great service and best massages. Highly recommend!! read more

Great massage in a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere. Everyone at Nirvana is kind, and well experienced in the many styles of massage. Amazing service and very reasonable rates compared to the other Westlake Village/Thousand Oaks area establishments. Would recommend Nirvana to anyone who appreciates a great massage in a peaceful atmosphere at a fair price! read more

Massage was Medicare and inconsistent at best. Took my wife for a couples full body massage - the lights in the "private" room were too bright to start and the whole body was anything but that. My wife barely got her feet massaged etc. We will keep looking for a different place 1/20/18 I tried again figuring maybe the first time was just a bad experience. Trust your gut - they put me in a room near the front and I asked for someplace further back and was told no - too busy which they weren't. So I got ready and could every noise from the street not to mention from the massage therapist talking to her client from the curtain next to me. I won't be back read more

Just had one the best massages ever at Nirvana. I went for the one hour with a scrub and showered afterwards. Strong and deep massage and the face massage was heavenly. I told them that I tweaked my back earlier today and she focused on the problem. Just can't say enough good things about the massage. Thank you read more

oh this is a very nice place. The masseuse is very professional. Especially during the massage process, it is very quiet. The most important thing is to be particularly clean. today im first time come here，also the people are very enthusiastic and nice. I promise I'll come again.^.^ read more

Ok first off don't go here if you want a real massage, other then slathering lotion on you and rubbing it around that's about it. Don't bother coming here. Then we you tip they look at you like that's it? And huff and walk away, poor massage equals poor tip. read more

Tried them out two times my third time I walked out. First experience was great. 2nd I made apt for foot massage and when we arrived the lady said we made it for private massage which we didn't we got thrown from bed to bed and walked out on for 5 min then they came back. The third time I came for a 90min foot massage she said no they would only do private. I feel they are demanding on up selling and service is horrible. Won't go back. read more

I've gotten a few massages here, and they've been fairly good massages, especially for the price. However, the last time I came here, my massage was pretty mediocre, so originally I was only going to tip $5. The woman at the front desk then told me that I could not tip only $5 and have to tip at least ten! I was shocked that she asked me this and politely asked her to repeat the request as I wondered if I misheard her. She repeated it, and I felt it was very rude to demand a minimum amount for a tip. I will be going to a different place for massages now. Two stars because the massages aren't bad, but they also don't blow me away, and I think they really need to be more tactful than to insult an already voluntary tip. read more

Called to make an appointment and they didn't know if we could come for a couples massage so they said they'd call back. Less than 5 mins go's by and we have an appointment for 15 mins later. We get there early and end up falling asleep in the waiting room waiting for someone to come or something. My boyfriend and I massage started at two different times, his person was about 10 mins late so i was the only one getting a massage. There was barely to any effort put in because i think they were busy and didn't want to give a full massage. I ended up watching my boyfriend get a massage AND get treatment I DID NOT receive. The guy did NOT massage my arms, hands, or the back of my neck at the end and rushed out. Then charged us more than what is on their prices on Yelp. What about my full massage? read more

Very dissapointing. A G A I N. I guss that this place is just too busy with 0 customer servise. After coming here 4 time in the pass month, always calling before. This time i called 45 minuts before to book a massage for two, 90 minuts. Driving from agoura. Making it on time just here her say " please wait one houre, no girls" With a smile. Very rude attitude. The massage before she changed 3 girls in the 90 minuts, I didn't like that. At all. She forgot that there are 14 other massage places within one mile radius. We moved on to 5 star massage down the street to find a clean nice cheeper massage place. Thank you Nirvana for pushing us to find a much better place foer our weekly massages. Eric. read more

Place was great! Great customer service and good massage, the leg massage was the best, i payed for 90 minutes and it was a 90 minute massage with no break read more

This place SUCKS!!! AND ay massage was garbage and my friend literally got SEXUALLY ASSAULTED by the man that massaged her. She wanted a full body massage and the only thing he massaged was her butt for an hour. SO INAPPROPRIATE AND DISGUSTING. Also the woman that massaged me didn't even ask what I wanted massaged or anything. F*** this place don't go. Yes I'm reviewing the right business and the woman that checked me out kept messing up the price. ALSO THE OWNER IS OBVIOUSLY GASLIGHTING EVERY NEGATIVE REVIEW. read more

This place does illegal things that are NOT okay. I had a couples massage and the lady kept leaving my room to answer the phone, talk to coworkers and kept taking breaks. I paid for a 75 minute massage and the lady maybe massaged me for... 50 minutes of it. I kept waiting for her to get into it so I could relax, but she barely touched me and kept talking to the massage lady that was working on my boyfriend in the same room. It was incredibly rude. I asked her if she preferred that I came back when she had some uninterrupted time to complete my massage and she said "no, sorry". I was so upset the entire massage. I felt trapped. It made it even worse when her personal cell phone rang and she answered it while on top of me and started chatting away while massaging me with her one free hand. She was yelling in another language on her cell phone. It was not a business call. I was so irritated by the entire experience. She cut my massage off 10 minutes before my boyfriends and started it 15 minutes after his started. He had a good experience (minus having to listen to my lady talk, the business phone and the doorbell). What really upset me was upon leaving, she stood in front of the door, blocking the exit and said we were not allowed to leave until we tipped her and her coworker at least $40 each. I told her absolutely not and that my experience was awful. I threatened to call the police if she did not let us out. We paid for our massage and left a tip, but she wanted more. When I mentioned the police, she got irritated and deliberately pushed past us and knocked into our shoulders with her on the way out. It was completely illegal. Based on the experience I had with my "massage", I should not have paid a penny... I didn't fight paying the bill at all. I didn't want to start any issues. I told her I had a bad massage and did not enjoy it and she should not keep walking away to talk on a phone. I was upfront with her and even asked for a manager. She said "no manager". I will never, ever go back. I would highly recommend avoiding this place at all cost. They need to be reported and shut down. read more

Don't even think about going to this place without a cash tip in hand. They will literally follow you to the car looking for that tip. Due to a communication error, I wasn't able to add tip onto my card payment. I told them I would go get cash and bring them a tip. They actually stood in the parking lot as I was leaving and flagged me down demanding a cash tip. I finally used the magic term they could understand: ATM. My BF and I went, got cash, and brought it back for them. Left it with the woman at the desk...and vowed to never go to this establishment again. Whether you depend on it or not, a tip is optional. I've been a customer for more than five years and I've stuck with them through a couple other questionable experiences, but I won't be followed to the car to be publicly shamed into tipping. read more

I have been to their house several times. Personally, I like their house very much. Their service is very good. I have been to many massage parlours, and I think they are the most important thing about customers. Once I made the wrong phone before, I immediately hung up the phone. Unexpectedly, they called me back immediately. I was very surprised, because it really only rang. This attitude made me feel that their family's attitude was really great. Among their masseuses, I think Lucy is the best. She is very conscientious every time and does not recommend additional products randomly. She will use milk and oil according to my condition and recent skin status. In order to make me feel that she is really working attentively. read more

I called back to get the address but I was told my appointment needs to be changed to 4pm Terrible service read more

Sadly, after six years as a customer, I will not be returning to Nirvana. During these ten years, I have spent (with tip) forty to fifty dollars, most weeks I was in town. There have been a few weeks, if I bought a produce or had a sauna, that I spent up to 170 dollars in a week. I asked for a ninety minute massage, was told OK, then once the massage started I noticed that the massage therapist was rushing. I reminded her that my massage was 90 minutes. During the middle of my massage, I was told by the manager that there was not time for me to have a ninety minute massage, due to the schedule for other clients. After the one hour massage I expressed my frustration that she did not tell me this in advance. She stated that she was running a business. Her business practices lost a reliable long-term client. That is not good business. This has happened more than once. Sadly, most often they do a good job, but the times of disrespect outweigh the rest. read more

I made an appointment and when I arrived I was led to the common area that was extremely bright from the light outside. The woman (who was sitting at the front desk) starts massaging me a few minutes later and is absolutely horrible. I think she was the secretary but had to massage because they didn't have enough people. Then, she continues to stop the massage whenever someone enters the place/needs to pay to go get them set up. She was then on the phone screaming at someone (probably about needing more people) while she massaged me with her 1 free hand. After 10 minutes of this, I just got up and told her this was not relaxing and left. What chaos read more

Isn't Nirvana supposed to mean paradise? What a disappointment. I wanted to treat myself with a $20 one hour foot massage at the end of a long hard week, but the front desk lady told me in a pretty rude way that there was no room available. No smile, no apologies, no other available option. I asked if I should come back later and she said that I could get a one hour full body massage for $50. I couldn't believe she could find a room for a $50 massage when she just insisted on the fact that there was no more space available. Anyway, it was late and I really needed a massage so I said yes. Well, I shouldn't have. The masseuse asked me if I wanted medium or hard and I said hard. Which was a good idea as I spent an hour wondering if I was actually getting a massage. I hardly felt a thing and didn't feel any better at the end of that long, useless, boring hour. In a nutshell: bad service, unwelcoming front desk lady, mediocre massage. Obviously I won't be back. HUGE disappointment. read more

Three weeks ago I called to make reservations for this massage spa for 8 people. We arrive at the appointment time and when we came in they acted as though we had never called. I assume this place is good if you come one at a time, but never come with a large party. When I was given the managers number, rather than being apologetic, she began to berate me over the phone. This was supposed to be a special event for my wedding and this place has ruined it. I will never be going back. read more
