Superman Maki - top Dynamite Maki - bottom
Kimberly B.

Wanted quick sushi and this was the closest restaurant. 2 hour parking. Ninja sushi is usually a hit for me in any location. Ordered my fave the dynamite maki and superman maki and garlic ebi. Great tasting sushi. Service good and place is clean.

Dragon Roll...SOOOOO good!

This restaurant is fantastic. I don't write many reviews, but I had to today. I order Dragon Rolls all the time through DoorDash (cause I'm LAZY!) but I get it and enjoy it every time. Until today. I ordered through Doordash and on the Ninja Sushi screen (the manager showed me) the order came through without any fixings, just eel, crab, and rice. So I called and the manager was happy to remake the order. When I arrived and she showed me the screen she said she recognized my name and thought something was off. What a great moment of customer service, because they made it right when it was DoorDash's issue. I did get a refund from DoorDash but WOW what a rip off of a policy. But this isn't about them, its about Ninja Sushi Airport. Fantastic and will order again, and again, and again...like the Energizer Bunny. LOL

Five stars. The food is good and fresh. Enjoyed the spicy ahi bento. The service is friendly and efficient. Really enjoyed the service here. The ambiance is clean and friendly. It can get busy at times, but was lucky when we went.

This was my first meal when I got to Hawaii. I don't know if it was the excitement or the hunger from the 6 hour plane ride, but this place was so good! Food: 5/5 I got the Inari and the poke bento box. For a fast food chain, the fish was really fresh and rice was soft and moist. My friends had ordered their udon and other bento boxes and all of us agreed that everything was really good. Price: 4/5 For a fast food joint, this place was a little pricier. I think each of their boxes were around $15. It was a lot of food, but there many cheaper sushi options. Ambiance: 5/5 We walked here from the airport in a light drizzle of rain. It was a little magical as this was our first stop when we got to the island. There was nothing truly outrages that stands out about this place, but we were hungry and excited. Service: 5/5 Nothing special. The food came our fairly quickly. We beat the lunch rush here because after us there was a line. I recommend coming before or after 12:00pm - 2:00pm.

It was such a throwback because I used to eat at this Ninja Sushi a bunch when I was in college and the food quality doesn't disappoint. Price point is reasonable too. Customer service is always great here too. The store is on the smaller side, not a ton of indoor seating but it's perfect to grab and go. The only thing was the miso soup (not pictured) wasn't as tasty as others I've tried. But other than that, everything was good!

I remember eating at other Ninja Sushi locations and it being good. This time it was meh. I got the spicy ahi bento. It came with spicy ahi on white rice, one piece each of ahi, tamago and shrimp nigiri. It also had three pieces of California roll, one piece of inari and namasu. The spicy ahi was finely minced and had a mushy texture. The ahi on the nigiri had sinew and wasn't too fresh. The tamago and California rolls were good.

Got the order to go, was ready about 20 minutes after I ordered. It was tasty sushi for a good price! I got the green dragon Maki roll, had a little bit too much sauce for my liking but still good. I would definitely go again if I want quick and cheap sushi!

Genuine Japanese sushi right next to Honolulu International airport! Heaven on Earth!

The location has amazing parking near the airport or when you're waiting for someone to pick you up or be picked up or picking someone up there's tons of available parking and the sushi taste amazing just like it was made in Japan. The staff are very friendly and the food is amazing. I highly recommend coming here as soon as possible even if you don't need anything done at the airport it's worth the ride.

Coming home from Nebraska, ninja sushi is always a MUST. Their customer service has always been up to par and they never failed to provide such great hospitality. Usually we do take out, but this time we decided to dine in. This location has about 6-7 tables that can accommodate up to 4 individuals with more seat options outside that consist of umbrellas to provide shade. Upon entering, it is necessary to grab a parking ticket to enter the parking lot; but with a purchase from any of the vendors, validation covers 2 hours. The staff is friendly and easily approachable. Whenever there is a question, they are so willing to answer with such great detail. My personal favorite is the Superman roll & Tiger roll. Since there is 4 adults, this was more than enough to satisfy our sushi fix! Always recommend! Another great item not featured that we usually get is the Ahi Lover's! Portions are valid for the price you pay! Location is clean, friendly, and provides quick service. Lots of variety!

Soba sushi bento

I was in the area and was craving something not too heavy, fast and convenient. Well Ninja checked all those requirements and more! I was pleasantly surprised the soba bento that I had was fresh and delicious! This location sits in a tiny spot in the AIPA shopping area close to Starbucks. I will definitely go there again the bento I had was delicious and not over priced. They have a few tables inside to eat at and the location is convenient plenty of parking.

I actually really love the spicy ahi poke at Ninja. It's made a little differently than most other places on island, ground instead of chunked and it's always amazing. It's on the spicy side, but I loved it. Tried something different on this visit and loved it even more, the garlic hamachi and ahi nigiri. Reasonably priced and super flavorful. Customer service is good and quick, atmosphere is nothing impressive. I hate the parking lot situation here, but there is always plenty. A few tables are out front, but they're always taken when we come.

I've been to Mitch's a few times and when I saw that they opened up an Izakaya next door, I knew I had to try it and made a reservation on Yelp. Izakaya Mitch's specializes more in cooked dishes while the other side is more about the fresh / raw fish. But that didn't stop us from ordering the assorted sashimi. All the fish were from Japan and yes you can taste the difference. The fatty tuna was obviously my favorite but even the regular tuna and the hamachi was so buttery, it just melts in your mouth. Plus, it comes with real wasabi. Not horseradish, real wasabi. For the cooked dishes we got the hokkaido crab tempura with a side of matcha salt. One of the best tempuras I've ever had. The kamameshi, a rice dish with their fish of the day. We got the half order and it's kinda like a bibimbap where they mix the rice for you at your table. I saw that people were raving about this on Yelp and put in our order right when we got in because it takes 25-ish minutes to prepare. On special, they had a karei karaage. Karei is a flat fish and I've never had a fish karaage before, it was perfectly fried and dipped in the ponzu sauce it was so good. Ambiance is a no-frills kinda spot but very clean and feels homey and the service is amazing! Attentive and super personable.

I made reservations, so we were seated right away. Luckily, it wasnʻt crowded when we sat, so our waitress was able to answer all our questions about different dishes we were interested in ordering. Our party of 3 got to try different things from the specials and regular menu. The tai karaage was so tender and seasoned really well, the kamameshi is such a comfort dish, and the burrata with chilled tomato was really refreshing. One thing we all liked was that even though there were a lot of people in the restaurant (most came in after we ordered), we still were able to speak to one another without talking loud. The staff mentioned that they will be getting a sushi chef, so I guess we need to try this place again,

From the outside, it is a hole-in-the-wall, but don't let that fool you. This is by far the best sushi spot on Oʻahu. It is on the pricier side, but the quality and freshness make it well worth it. Everything we ordered was authentic, flavorful, and incredibly fresh. My favorite was the toro nigiri, rich and buttery, and it melts in your mouth. The service was great and I am already looking forward to my next visit!

There is something deeply confusing about Mitch's Fish Market & Sushi Bar…read more Not bad confusing.Worse. Identity-crisis confusing. Because the fish?Excellent. Cold, clean, glistening with that dangerous little shimmer that tells you somebody in the supply chain actually cared. You can taste the quality immediately. The kind of quality that silences a table for half a second. And credit where it is due: almost everything I tried ranged from very good to genuinely great. But then the room begins speaking. And suddenly the spell breaks. The atmosphere feels like someone took a serious sushi counter, stripped away all sensuality, all elegance, all ritual, then dropped it inside a fluorescent island diner where exhausted civilians came to discuss parking validation and Costco receipts. It is the culinary equivalent of wearing a Rolex with orthopedic sneakers. The contradiction never stops humming beneath the experience. You sit there eating beautiful fish while surrounded by an energy that feels strangely... transactional. Heavy. Casual in the least flattering way. A room with no mystery. No seduction. No gravity. Like Zippy's accidentally wandered into the tuna trade and struck gold. And on an island like Oahu, where atmosphere matters almost as much as the fish itself that becomes a real problem. Because sushi is not merely consumption. It is theater.Restraint.Texture.Whispered precision. The best sushi spots on Oahu understand this instinctively. They understand that exceptional fish alone is not enough. You are paying for transportive experience. For mood. For elegance. For the feeling that the evening exists slightly outside ordinary life. At Mitch's, the fish reaches for Tokyo while the room drags you back toward a tired strip mall off the freeway. And then there's the crowd. Not evil people. Not rude people. Just an oddly low-rent energy orbiting genuinely premium seafood. The kind of room where one table is eating remarkable otoro while another feels one argument away from discussing used-car financing over soy sauce packets. It creates dissonance. Especially considering the prices. Because at those prices, you begin comparing the full experience not merely the fish quality and that is where Mitch's stumbles hard. There are multiple sushi spots across Oahu that equal or surpass the seafood while also delivering beauty, atmosphere, intimacy, and actual emotional texture. So what remains is this strange contradiction: Mitch's serves fish far above the dignity of its own ambience Which almost makes it fascinating. Would I be back - no . You can get same and better quality fish, much better vine, better part of town for the same Price.

One of the ladies that sat on the inside had to hang out quite a bit outside the width of the table bc she was too close to her friend; Secondarily, even a woman a foot shorter than me said the chairs were low (I'm 6'2"); None of the food had a wow factor and it seemed expensive. Our tab was $157 for four items inc 2 beers b4 tip; 3.5 Stars overall bc of the good service. I will likely not return bc of the small seats and just ok food.

Looking for sushi and comfort food? I still can't believe I hadn't tried Sushi Spot in Aiea sooner…read more This place was recommended to me by a co-worker and wow! It absolutely did not disappoint. Safe to say I'll be wondering why I waited so long! We ordered quite a variety and every dish brought something delicious to the table. The Red Spider (soft shell crab, crab meat, romaine lettuce, cucumber, avocado, and tobiko) was incredible. Every single bite was packed with flavor and texture. That crispy soft shell crab added the perfect crunch that made this roll hard to stop eating. The Black Spider (soft shell crab, crab meat, cream cheese, romaine lettuce, cucumber, and avocado) was an interesting twist from the Red Spider. I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was equally delicious. The cream cheese gave it a richer, creamier bite that worked surprisingly well. Next up was the Chicken Katsu Curry. Japanese-style curry with veggies and crispy chicken katsu over rice. The chicken was beautifully crispy, exactly how katsu should be. Crunchy on the outside, tender on the inside, and paired perfectly with the rich curry. The veggies were cooked just right too. Overall, a really satisfying dish. The Spicy Ahi Handroll was another winner. You really can't go wrong with this one. It was fresh, flavorful, and honestly disappeared within two bites. Yum! Then came the Pork Katsu Donburi with scrambled eggs, veggies over rice, drizzled with their amazing house sauce. Just like the chicken, the pork katsu was delicious. But can we talk about that sauce? Perfecto. I'm not sure what's in it, but it tied the entire dish together beautifully. And of course, dessert! The Fried Oreo with Ice Cream. It came with vanilla ice cream surrounded by deep-fried Oreo and drizzled with chocolate syrup. It was yuuuuummy! Hands down, I would order this again. Do not pass up this dessert. From sushi rolls to katsu dishes and ending on a sweet note, Sushi Spot completely exceeded expectations. Great flavors, satisfying portions, and multiple dishes I'd happily order again. If you've been driving by this place and saying, "I'll try it one day," take this as your sign. This spot is an absolute must try!
